- will13, on 03/20/2009, -2/+248Dugg for The Stig.
- DeathRay2K, on 03/20/2009, -5/+153Only mildly amusing though.
- TheXboxReview, on 03/20/2009, -2/+129In image #6, the graffiti must refer to the huge amount of surveillance cameras installed around London, not Google.
- rivalius13, on 03/20/2009, -5/+120That "graffiti artist" they talk about in number 7 is Banksy. You think they'd recognise his work....
- AlexTommo, on 03/20/2009, -12/+98Wally is his name in the UK.
Not everyone is from the States. - V3n0M, on 03/20/2009, -4/+79Is "fancy dress" another word for "antlers" in the UK?
- v4vishal, on 03/20/2009, -5/+75Youngsters hang around outside a house in Sheffield.
How's that funny?
Stupid list. - unre4l, on 03/20/2009, -3/+71#12 - They saw chavs? But they're everywhere?!
- buenit, on 03/20/2009, -13/+75Not funny.
- Angostura, on 03/20/2009, -2/+62I actually felt rather sorry for poor old Sad Builder. Hope he's OK.
- inactive, on 03/20/2009, -19/+71"Here's Wally!"
I thought we were searching for "Waldo". - Bowd99, on 03/20/2009, -0/+43It's just natural chav instinct to cover your face after seeing a camera, lest you end up on Crimewatch and disappoint your parents.
- aTroll, on 03/20/2009, -2/+42I see Pedobear took a trip to the UK.
- directedition, on 03/20/2009, -4/+44Sorry, we're not usually aware when familiar character have their names arbitrarily changed for import/export. They don't sell many UK versions of children's books in American book stores.
- RumpleForeskin3, on 03/20/2009, -2/+31That cyclist is on an invisible bike!
- gamerscalling, on 03/20/2009, -0/+29That when he is caught on Street View, everything blurs but him.
- Otto, on 03/20/2009, -5/+29Buried as inaccurate. None of those are remotely "funny".
- Genobeam, on 03/20/2009, -4/+25Funny is not the adjective I would choose to describe this list.
- DouglasQ, on 03/20/2009, -5/+25Sad builder
- icecoldtrashcan, on 03/20/2009, -3/+23*Wally
- dullnation, on 03/20/2009, -1/+20Wally in Australia too apparently. This is usually a hot topic when it comes up on digg....
- mattyk123, on 03/20/2009, -2/+21He's a guy, so antlers do constitue a fancy dress costume, and a pretty impressive one at that.
- D1Foley, on 03/20/2009, -0/+19It does, i'm glad someone else realized it.
- rd3k, on 03/20/2009, -1/+17He was called "Wally" first!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Where%27s_Waldo%3F - immatellyouwhat, on 03/20/2009, -2/+17...is sad.
- Pxtl, on 03/20/2009, -1/+16As I understand it, fancy dress is a britishism that generally means a costume - is in, like, cosplayers and hallowe'en stuff.
- RumpleForeskin3, on 03/20/2009, -2/+16one of them farted
- captnkurt, on 03/20/2009, -1/+15Not funny is the new funny.
- TylerDuhrdan, on 03/20/2009, -1/+15At best. Title was misleading.
- h0dges, on 03/20/2009, -1/+15Indeed, Wally is the character's original name.
- swmbuk, on 03/30/2009, -1/+14Check out his online gallery, def on there.
- waydee, on 03/20/2009, -1/+14It's a banksy
- Stingwolf, on 03/20/2009, -0/+13I like how it's right next to a CCTV camera, yet the writer (not the graf writer) says it's about google.
- Shwaavay, on 03/20/2009, -0/+12It is kinda funny that the mechanism for blurring license plates blurred out the numbers on the protest signs.
- Frostek, on 03/20/2009, -1/+13Because they're chavs, therefore stupid.
- IceSabre, on 03/20/2009, -0/+11Some people say....
and yes, dugg for the stig - icecoldtrashcan, on 03/20/2009, -0/+11The data protection act in the UK requires consent of the photographee, if you can clearly identify them. The same goes for number plates. I believe many of these images were taken in 2007. We spotted the streetview car here in cambridge in 2007. It's just taken two years to process all the images.
- aTroll, on 03/20/2009, -0/+11My favorite was the "hahaha. people are doing people things"
How the hell is that even mildly funny?
I quote: "Youngsters hang around outside a house in Sheffield." - web2pointYo, on 03/20/2009, -0/+10Hence the accident.
- inigomntoya, on 03/20/2009, -0/+9Its a cardboard cutout. But it might as well be the real Stig - as they both have the same taste in music.
- Monotonousblob, on 03/20/2009, -1/+10"The hooligans are loose! The hooligans are loose!"
- mescad, on 03/20/2009, -0/+9Were you talking about the article or your comment?
- b3owulf, on 03/20/2009, -0/+9And the person is actually part of the painting....
- swmbuk, on 03/30/2009, -1/+10It's quite an old piece now for Banksy, so definitely not referring to Google
- BingoPower, on 03/20/2009, -3/+12I think they meant "funny" in the same way as, prior to a massive heart-attack, someone says "I feel funny".
- danwgre, on 03/20/2009, -1/+9Wally v. Waldo
Lets rumble!!!! - EdGasket, on 03/21/2009, -1/+9Innit tho, we aint even done noffin!
- inactive, on 03/20/2009, -1/+9COME ON! The Iraq war protest was hilarious! And what about those wacky kids hanging out. First-Rate hilarity!
- dalectrics, on 03/20/2009, -1/+9It is.
- 45441, on 03/20/2009, -2/+10I feel sorry for the "sad builder."
Is that wrong? -
