It's too much space between the one side of the line of trucks and the other. Would have been nuts to dodge between the trucks in the name of Google Street View...

If you 'drive' around with streetview and pay attention to the direction the other folks are headed, particularly the kid in the red shirt on the bike and a couple of the trucks, you can figure out which direction the Google car was going. It looks like the car drove up to the hose, hung a left, and drove up to the fire. At some point the Google car looped around and went to the other side of the hose completing the circuit and causing the volunteer firefighter to raise his hand in a hey-stop-cause-if-you-drive-over-the-hose-I'll-give-you-the-finger gesture.

And the car didn't run over the hose. Look at where the people are in each picture. It circled around and came back from the other direction.
