If you ask me, CP would refer to material that would let pedos get off - really affecting children that are too young to understand their, uhh, parts. As long as the age of consent is at 18, there will be pervs making porn of people under that age. Something else I'd like to contribute is, you're implying that all CP is raping, or harming of the child. Why do you brush over the fact that there's entire business dedicated to child models? Are they "harmed" as well, regardless of the fact that they're often paid?
I'm not for legalizing anything, I'm for reconstructing the laws into something more sensible. They way that they're setup as of now, using an analogy, is like driving 26mph in a 25mph zone will be punished the same as driving 70+mph in a school zone.
