If you've never considered it, or never heard anyone suggest it, go to this site and try to answer the question:
"Why would anyone suggest this?"

- macdady843, on 01/10/2009, -0/+7How bout dolls of Dodd and Barney Frank for helping cause the mortgage collapse.
- MooseOfReason, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6Barney Frank's will come with a string in the back and 101 phrases.
- MooseOfReason, on 01/10/2009, -1/+7No, but now Dennis Kucinich is on board.
- inactive, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6And Pelosi with accessory noose.
- cheezintern, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6Fantastic, I'm in for a Ben doll because I blame him for keeping interest rates too low for too long, which helped bring about the crisis. And I was forced to buy his textbook which was not cheap.

- tgc1, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6Common mistake. They have no hearts.
- MooseOfReason, on 01/10/2009, -1/+6FriedTurkey, Seriously?
The Federal Reserve isn't part of a free market system. The Fed manipulates the interest rate, which should be determined in the marketplace. - blackdeath88012, on 01/10/2009, -1/+6im too poor to buy one :/
oh the irony - normlsparky, on 01/10/2009, -0/+5I was just wondering how well they'd hold up to a .308 round.
- cheezintern, on 01/10/2009, -1/+4you're a little backwards, lending standards were lowered so much that anyone was able to get a loan. But that's only one part of a more complicated problem.
- Goodanswer, on 01/11/2009, -0/+3I bet they are made in CHINA !
- samard2002, on 01/10/2009, -2/+5Yes, because this is what the average American needs, more useless trinkets and garbage.
- henri3, on 01/11/2009, -0/+3I watch c-span! Hay but I'm old, what do I know?
- blipblipbeep, on 01/10/2009, -1/+4And they get some of the proceeds. I don't think so!

Nonprofits were giving loans to poor people long before the average American knew what the word "Subprime" meant. - inactive, on 01/10/2009, -2/+4Only way to have real freedom: KILL THE FED
- gltskline, on 01/11/2009, -0/+2Better buy some wheat while you are at it. Brigham Young said that there will come a day when wheat will be more valuable than gold. I BELIEVE that. You can't eat gold when you are starving.
- GhostFreeman, on 01/10/2009, -4/+6I was excited up until the CSPAN part. Nobody watches CSPAN.
- synapz, on 01/11/2009, -0/+2@rdoger:
And by their very nature, contributed an insignificant amount to the issue. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, on the other hand, were huge lenders that warped the market.
Nice try, Krugman. - bcronos, on 01/10/2009, -2/+3That's the problem, they didn't let the frree market work. Gov't caused all this by forcing banks to make loans to people who couldn't pay. Now we ALL have to pay...Thanks Barney Frank and Chucky Schumer you expert economists you...
- sloppychris, on 01/10/2009, -1/+2Blogspam.

- MSBPodcast, on 01/10/2009, -1/+1That's no way to refer to commercial paper. :-)
At least you get something for your money with the dolls. - henri3, on 01/10/2009, -2/+2Maybe by squeezing the head off one of these dolls, Might help me from yelling at my TV every time I see one of these goofs.
- Finalreminder, on 01/10/2009, -4/+3***** off! I'm sure Overmind12812 dug this because he found it interesting, not.
More complete junk on the front page because of spammy power users. - synapz, on 01/10/2009, -3/+2@cheezedick:
YOU'RE a little backwards. Lending standards were FORCED lower than the free market would have allowed. The government did this in the name of "helping poor people get loans".
Grow a brain. - JordanTW90, on 01/10/2009, -5/+3Greenspan shouldn't even be in the same category as Bernanke and Paulson. Sure Greenspan dropped rates to 1% causing a housing boom and a boom of malinvestment, but the whole time he did it he warned what would happen. With Bernanke and Paulson, their goals were purely to rape the American taxpayer with "stimulus" and "bailouts."
***** the Fed. - ileftfark, on 01/10/2009, -9/+4Really, diggers? Really?
- nymphetamine, on 01/10/2009, -10/+3I want a Ron Paul stress doll that I can jerk off.
- Exzect, on 01/09/2009, -18/+2Just imagine the six team playoff I describe, and how amazing it would have been. Also how it doesn't remove the bowl games at all.
Possible scenario
Round 1
Cotton Bowl
3 Alabama
6 Utah
------We know how this goes, amazing upset
Sugar Bowl
4 Texas
5 USC
------It would be an amazing game, USC probably wins.
1st round we've already had one amazing upset and a great game
Round 2
Since Florida #2 and Oklahoma #1, Florida plays the higher seed and Ok plays the lower seed
Orange Bowl
2 Florida
5 USC
---- Amazing, amazing, amazing game. Lets say coin flip Florida wins.
Rose Bowl
1 Oklahoma
6 Utah
----Amazingly hyped after Alabama upset, speculation all week, Utah upsets Oklahoma since Oklahoma is terrible in big games/bowl games.
Round 3
National championship
Fiesta Bowl
2 Florida
6 Utah
----David vs. Goliath hype all year. Who wins this game? We'll never know.
Just like now the 5 BCS bowls would rotate order and take turns with different rounds they are in and who get the national championship game.
For my BCS playoff system, nothing has to change. Maybe more should, but nothing else has to, BCS bowls just transfer to quick playoff. All 29 other bowls still play as normal.
It makes since and would be really easy to put in place, the bowl games don't have to stop that we all love and there is a decisive winner at the end of the season that has earned it.
We need to increase the uproar for this system, what do you think?
