Can you imagine how furiously the poor thing must've clawed at the can as it was dying, unable to see what was killing it? I don't have to imagine - I saw its bloody paws, the scratches on the can, and the scratches on its head. What a scary, painful death for an innocent animal.

Fell face down in, tail feathers sticking straight up, and drowned, no clawing or screaming under water would help for sure... while my parents watched TV oblivious to what was going on behind them. I came down the stairs, looked over the bird face straight down in the glass, thought it rather odd, and was at something of a loss for words to say.

    That's life... one moment you're alive, doing something so incredibly commonplace and harmless, and the next moment you're in a night mare situation fighting for your life and probably SOL dead. Happened to me once or twice. Terrifying.

If this had really been the case, the cat would have died of dehydration a long time before using up all the body fat.
