"BREAKING: people used to think 1080i HDTV was realistic." - tanside, on 11/18/2007, -0/+7theres no way thats a 60's set, looks more like 80's to me. unless you were being sarcastic, but its hard to tell with some people.

We HAVE A WINNER! - Abomonog, on 11/18/2007, -0/+5Yup, it's 80's. It was rather popular in hotels back then.

http://www.electronichouse.com/slideshow/category/ ... - viggenguy, on 11/19/2007, -0/+1does #12 even have a screen?
- LeeSoong, on 11/18/2007, -1/+2WOW.
http://www.oobject.com is an amazing web site.
The vintage TVs and 1940s 1950s & 1960 advertisements were a hoot!
Clicking on the photos twice takes you to the original web sites, where many more photos and retro 1950s 1940s objects. My favorite is the end table TV/Radio/Phonograph maple / walnut cabinet systems that take four men to move - but sport the state of the art 7" screens. sweet!
Gold Rocket Fins on your TV? why not!
http://www.vintagetvsets.com/58rca.htm - stev101, on 11/18/2007, -1/+1TV never looked so cool... wait yes it did!
- Valkarie70, on 11/18/2007, -1/+1Futuristic in the shoot you in the face while viewing sort of way, then yes, it does
- Abomonog, on 11/18/2007, -1/+1Pity there is no history of the sets on the site.
- goldferris, on 11/18/2007, -1/+1Number 2 is RAD, although I think I would get sick watching anything on a spherical television.
- mattrickmd, on 11/18/2007, -3/+2So high...
