- Murrabbit, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1While technical true, it's worth noting that most Americans don't think of the middle east as part of Asia. I mean if you sat them down and asked "What continent is the middle east part of" we'd have to lump it there, but it's sort of it's own distinct entity in our mind - like India. This is best shown by the very dumb look we'll give you when you refer to an Arab, Persian or Indian as "Asian" because to us "Asian" means a short yellow person with straight dark hair and slanted eyes. Anyone else is a "Middle Easterner" at best, or various slang terms and slurs at worst.
