But seriously, this is a tad ridiculous. It's nice that they're putting something there (I wouldn't be surprised if very tight quarters to fit a ramp in) even if a good chunk of people still can't use it. Handicap access ramps aren't just for wheelchair users -- and able bodied ones at that. I don't know how people in canes and walkers are supposed to use it, or frail bodied wheelchair users. Heck, even able-bodied or powered chairs probably won't be able to get up: they'd just fall backwards going up. My girlfriend (yes, digg-down, inaccurate, etc.) is in a chair, and she has trouble even have a laptop & textbooks hung on the back of her chair tipping her backwards on lightly inclined ramps.
I suppose when you think about it, the ramp is unintentionally flipping off the handicapped. - ippey, on 07/08/2008, -0/+44You're all looking at it wrong: the ramp isn't for handicapped people, it MAKES you handicapped.
