- holzp, on 05/01/2009, -5/+215Ladies, I have another awesome thing you can implant into your body.
- shadus, on 05/01/2009, -4/+91Phrases like that are exactly why you never get to implant anything in a woman.
- Parish07, on 05/01/2009, -3/+74A kitchen?
- gttim, on 05/01/2009, -0/+58How does Wolverine flex his wrist when his claws are retracted?
- aramova, on 05/01/2009, -0/+46Yup. By the way, once you get it, I have just GOT to show you this MRI machine! Just stand over there...I'll be in this next room. The video equipment is just there for insurance reasons...don't worry!
:D - tokuturfey, on 05/01/2009, -1/+40I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it..
- doctechnical, on 05/01/2009, -0/+36And if they ever get stuck in the extended position he's going to have one hell of a time wiping his ass.
- MonoDede, on 05/01/2009, -0/+31A solution for this would be if they retracted all the way into his forearms past the wrist and then when they extended they would extend completely past his wrist.
Only problem with this is if he extends them when his wrist is flexed... say hello to new exit holes. - doctechnical, on 05/01/2009, -0/+29I always thought Logan made new exit holes *every* time he extended his claws, and then because of his super-healing the just shut right back up again. Still, it's gotta hurt... might explain why he's always pissed-off.
- inactive, on 05/01/2009, -1/+29Doctor Nick Riviera is standing by to take your calls.
Hi Everybodddy! - bjs3171, on 05/01/2009, -0/+27His bones are made of adamantium? really? because i thought they were just covered in it. but apparently his mother's a robot.
- DevinWatson, on 05/01/2009, -2/+26That magnet implant it's pretty awesome...
- serif69, on 05/01/2009, -0/+23Especially if you love to travel and absolutely adore the feeling of a TSA agent's hand in your rectum.
- apec766, on 05/01/2009, -1/+21INNUENDO FIVE!
*fives*
*snaps* - allenwrench, on 05/01/2009, -0/+20This list needs go to ELEVEN. You can get an implant into your orbitofrontal cortex to cure anhedonia.
There was a female patient who was incapable of experiencing pleasure of any sort. They treated it by implanting a heart pacemaker into her arm and wiring it up to her orbitofrontal cortex just behind her eyes.
She started having sex for the first time and quickly became very sexually active with multiple partners, to the point of exhaustion. After a time she decided the anhedonia had been more tolerable than the nymphomania and they took the pacemaker out. WOW! - Procure, on 05/01/2009, -0/+20Great technology. The logical next step: A Mega Man Mega Buster.
- GuitarHeroDenn, on 05/01/2009, -1/+20In YOUR endo
- commulction, on 05/01/2009, -0/+18*crickets*
- inactive, on 05/01/2009, -0/+16Yes. Because being able to control weather is much more logical as a single mutation.
- copypastry, on 05/01/2009, -0/+15I read a story about an electrician who had neodymium magnets (with silicone coverings) implanted in his fingers. He wanted to "feel" live wires before he touched them. Only problem was over time the sleeves wore down, the magnets began to fracture, and he had little tiny magnet slivers moving around in his fingertips. Quite painful.
So yeah it's a cool idea, but it's also a retarded idea. - MechaMurloc, on 05/01/2009, -0/+14Hi Dr. Nick!
- inactive, on 05/01/2009, -0/+14It would be great if they left it in there, but added some kind of switch. This way, whenever she gets really bored she just turns it on and has mindblowing sex and random drug orgies, then when that ***** gets a bit much, turn it off, forget about sex completely, and get back to being productive.
Sometimes I wish I could forget about sex completely, just to get some goddamn work done, you know? They tell teenagers not to worry too much if they think about sex all the time because that'll diminish when they reach adulthood - yeah, right. - cowsgonemadd3, on 05/01/2009, -1/+14NO!
- blah247, on 05/01/2009, -1/+14Herpes?
- doctechnical, on 05/01/2009, -1/+13Not so much if you work retail and take credit cards...
- morepowerr, on 05/01/2009, -0/+12just give me Wolverine healing and lifespan and you can keep the rest.
- malechite, on 05/01/2009, -0/+12$50,000
- inactive, on 05/01/2009, -0/+11Relapse high five!
That's where we high five. Then it's awkward for a bit. Then we high five again! - JoeHague, on 05/01/2009, -0/+10yea but get healing factor first
- Atxguitarist, on 05/01/2009, -0/+10That will be $50,000.00
- FredFredrickson, on 05/01/2009, -1/+10Breast implants are only awesome if they're being done to fix something like a cancer-related breast removal.
- UselessTrivia, on 05/01/2009, -0/+9I was under the impression they went all the way back into his forearm, past the wrist.
They don't make a whole lot of sense physics-wise, but it's best not to think about these things too much. - Fleagleman, on 05/01/2009, -1/+9Of course, this is the very first reply.
- TekTrixter, on 05/01/2009, -0/+8W...T...F...
- Maelfyn, on 05/01/2009, -1/+9I read this article just to see if Verichip's RF ID chip was in there. It was.
- inactive, on 05/01/2009, -0/+8You know, this question kept me up a night or two (I actually am that pathetic). I wondered mainly about what would happen if he extends or retracts his claws when his wrists are bent at an angle, as our learned friend MonoDede points out; could be messy.
I reckon that, since the claws were there from birth as a mutation, and not just a product of the Weapon X program, he certainly has muscles to perform the extend/retract action reflexively, and maybe some kind of tendon - for lack of a better term - in place that prevents the claws from extending or retracting unless his wrist "locks" into the correct position.
Though this solves the problem of him accidentally tearing up his own wrists from the inside, or stabbing himself every time he gets a nightmare while lying awkwardly, it doesn't explain how such an intricate and intricately interacting musculature system could develop merely as a random "mutation" and not require dozens or even hundreds of generations of evolution in order to develop and refine itself, as one would expect. Nevertheless, I think that may be overanalyzing things just a bit. - inactive, on 05/01/2009, -2/+10Don't EVER touch my computer.
- Klaatu14, on 05/01/2009, -0/+8I'm shocked it took this long for someone to point that error out.
- RumpleForeskin3, on 05/01/2009, -1/+9RFID chip and being able to open your door, gunsafe, or start your car with a wave of the hand is awesome
- burgerkinghorn, on 09/02/2009, -0/+7In the first Xmen movie, Rogue asked him if it hurts when he extends his claws and he said "Every time."
- haikuFU, on 05/01/2009, -0/+6I wonder if you could get a similar effect by supergluing a small neodymium magnet to the top of your fingernail. It would be a bit more safe, even though you'd have to keep moving it because of nail growth.
Hmm, experiment time. - Amezis, on 05/02/2009, -0/+6Actually, I'd be more than happy to pay $50,000 for nearly instant healing and longer lifespan.
- inactive, on 05/01/2009, -0/+6I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that and was annoyed by it.
- willdelaney, on 05/02/2009, -0/+6...................A PENIS!!!!!
- kjaf, on 05/01/2009, -0/+5I think its kinda cool all my friends call me ironman for it. I had a condition basically called a pectus and my chest sinked in, and to fix it they put this iron bar in my chest to pop it out. And now I have to have it in for 2 years so its kinda cool that i have this big iron bar that is across my chest lol. Maybe it will block bullets hahah.
- FredFredrickson, on 05/01/2009, -0/+5Why would you want to do that?
- gttim, on 05/02/2009, -1/+6And God forbid he gets too excited while masturbating,
- edwartica, on 05/01/2009, -2/+7A little German?
- Stormwern, on 05/01/2009, -2/+6Guns
http://www.neatorama.com/images/2006-09/gun-x-ray. ... - guinpen, on 05/02/2009, -0/+4Or, he stabs through his hands plenty of times, and it always heals, so it's second nature to have them straight while he extends them so it doesn't happen every time. If there's no real consequence to stabbing himself when he has healing factor, why does there need to be a complex explanation saying that he CAN'T stab himself? Occam's razor. He's just really good at not doing it by now.
