- inactive, on 10/25/2007, -3/+19Can you hack the list down to 3 ways? I don't have enough desire to read all 17.
- BalsamLane, on 10/25/2007, -5/+18Another ***** list?
- theinept, on 10/25/2007, -6/+18Let me guess. Same old bunch of vague, ***** recommendations that are either obvious or functionally impossible to implement because they are complete nonsense and are written with no other goal than to get blog visits and, in turn, advertising dollars? Yawn.
Want to be a better hockey player? How about these five tips:
- Score more goals
- Play better
- Be better at hockey
- Improve your hockey skills
- Skate with greater agility
Buried without even reading for being *****. - dayvideg, on 10/25/2007, -0/+11hey at least it wasn't on 17 different pages
- av4rice, on 10/25/2007, -0/+8"Have you ever noticed how the hungrier you are, the less able you are to enjoy the taste of food?"
Uh, no. EVERYTHING tastes good when I'm hungry! - darkzealot89, on 10/25/2007, -0/+8***** yea!
- reyman01, on 10/24/2007, -3/+9Kids are good at doing this. If only we all age-regressed to the age of 5...the world would kickass.
- wild, on 10/25/2007, -1/+7Turn off Digg and step outside?
- silverchrysalis, on 10/25/2007, -0/+6i found my passion in the back of the fridge, had fuzz growing on it. now what?
- whatthefu, on 10/25/2007, -1/+6Insert stock photo of random, happy Indian kids.
- taquitohater, on 10/25/2007, -0/+4Hasn't this guy ever heard of the Spartans? "Hunger is the best seasoning" Even awful school food is delicious after not eating breakfast.
- jiminizer, on 10/25/2007, -0/+4Actually, i love it when an article like this appears on digg. The hilarity of the comments is well worth it. =]
- asquare, on 10/25/2007, -1/+4They forgot one:
Use classical conditioning to pair pumpkin pie with dreaded activities. It's pretty much win/win. Even if this doesn't work, at least you get the satisfaction that only pumpkin pie can bring....
I smell that damn squash fruit now....wavering in the distance. Here pumpky, pumpky. Here boy... - seeyounorth, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2Everyone has a ***** limit, this person's happened to stop at 17.
- topiKal, on 10/24/2007, -1/+3Try looking at each point as one goal at a time.
Don't focus on the finished product, focus on your immediate goals. - ninalama, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2I didn't think you could force curiosity. :P
- SheilaNoya, on 10/25/2007, -9/+10Pot can also make boring things seem more intense, so you become more passionate about doing a simple task. Unfortunately, it also makes your mind wander so sometimes you forget what you're..........

what was I doing? - orelses, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1"Be ignorant about things you already know about " I wonder how i'll feel after I spent a year of my life going down a road i've been before and pretty much getting the same results. this is why some researchers never find anything new. Ignorance is bliss of course however its kind of hard turning off being self-aware.
- animus, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1the buddha said dispassion is the first step to enlightenment
- BalsamLane, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1Looks like you have a blog to share, with a list.
- ucbluman, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1it requires a lot of passion about getting passionate about things you're not passionate about yet to read a list of 17 things you need to do in order to get passionate about them.
- Seften, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1There is no passion; there is serenity.
- orelses, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1 When you feel as though you have arrived then the shows over, however pretending that it isn't over is empty as well, almost as empty as always looking for something that never comes.
- omgitsmit, on 10/25/2007, -3/+4I LOL'ed... then smoked a bowl in your honor.
- tehpwnrate, on 10/24/2007, -1/+2id put glue on it and eat it :) :) :)
ALL CAPZ - edithsan, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1Nice and simple ways. I like it.
- endlessoul, on 10/25/2007, -1/+2Hey! Why are these two being dugg down? It's true, you know. Yes, it makes the world vivid and it can make your mind wander.
Plus, they were both funny. I'm off to smoke one myself. - ThinkBox, on 10/24/2007, -2/+2This is a good article, as a filmmaker and photographer I have made these point apart of my lifestyle since I can remember.
Sometimes its kind of annoying to see a "make yourself better in 5 steps..." kinda article. Its all for a headline. Honestly I'd rather see a nice article on this topic that links them together and explores these issues more. Doing a ___ step article just isn't creative. Its cheap journalism, even if it is a good list of ideas.
I wonder if this is the same author, it looks like his style... http://www.scotthyoung.com/blog/archives/ - undercontrol, on 12/18/2007, -0/+0nice

- venzlav, on 10/24/2007, -1/+1Find your passion for finding passions
- PrincessDejiko, on 10/24/2007, -0/+0You obviously haven't been watching Kid Nation.
- Grogs, on 10/25/2007, -0/+0I agree with a lot the stuff said in that article. You can also remove or suppress interests. There's plenty of things which I'm interested in but which I just can't justify spending significant amounts of time on. If anything, it's harder to lose interests then gain them.
- ponyfreak, on 10/25/2007, -2/+1There is a lot of truth here. You can choose to be happy, choose to be sad, choose to be passionate. It's all your state of mind.
- Noureddin, on 10/24/2007, -3/+2Dugg... Not... The top things a man should know was better. But damn this is retarded. Why 17? What about 3, 5, 10, 15, 20 or something?
- Spoomeister, on 10/25/2007, -1/+0And yet when Michael Jackson and Catholic priests found their passion for something, people hated them.
Be consistent, o wise listmakers! - DiggRyan24, on 10/24/2007, -3/+2hey Balsam Lane! "Another ***** list?" ... if you hate lists so much I bet you'd love ListAfterList(dot)com
- ThinkBox, on 10/25/2007, -7/+6Our government already has....
