- amrush4th, on 12/22/2007, -28/+165Wait, in the factory they have a version of the Wii that can actually do HD?
- scrumpy, on 12/22/2007, -3/+82All the Wii's are on ebay. Therefore my kids will suffer; you know, they are little bastards, so be it.
- Kale27, on 12/22/2007, -2/+73Can't find a Wii.. can't load a picture about a Wii... what is the world coming to?
- Aero347, on 12/22/2007, -8/+66This goes out to all the ebayers in line every tuesday at 9am to buy 10 of them so we'll never buy one under $500.
(I will be waiting with paintball guns behind the bushes of best buy, if you come out with 2 or more, you're getting owned.) - thetanbark, on 12/22/2007, -3/+5765 diggs on at 11:00pm Friday night and your server can't take it? That's pretty sad since 90% of the digg crowd is watching porn right now.

When I saw this, it totally blew me away!
I want Wii game developers to use this! - Renton, on 12/22/2007, -4/+42Don't you think you're overreacting just a tad? Most people didn't even notice until it was pointed out.

You are a disgrace to the name Nerd. - Goodbyeworld, on 12/22/2007, -2/+27looks like a screenshot of "The Sims"
- Jennica, on 12/22/2007, -1/+24Plus, they're fixing it and will send you a new one for free.
- plax3, on 12/22/2007, -2/+22so maybe instead of waiting in the bushes...you should be waiting in line?
- nshady, on 12/22/2007, -1/+19Ever considered that in some places it isn't 11:00pm on a Friday night?
- Frostman3D, on 12/22/2007, -3/+18All that over a stupid pic? Don't even bother people. It's not worth going through all the mirrors to find one that works.
- scrumpy, on 12/22/2007, -4/+18You're hiding in bushes at Best Buy? I thought I didn't have a life - guess not.
You have paint ball guns - so you're running duals. Well done. - burgerpocket, on 12/22/2007, -0/+14and i knew bruce willis was a ghost the whole time.
- inactive, on 12/22/2007, -0/+14what happens if it rains?
- atomicskip, on 12/22/2007, -3/+17You do know that it is one per household at most retail stores, right? You will probably end up shooting someone with a wii and a dvd player in a white box. Have fun, watch out for the tasers.
- quomen, on 12/22/2007, -0/+14i knew i'd see your comment before i read it
- mywhitenoise, on 12/22/2007, -5/+19You mean component cables. And 480p is not hi-def, it's enhanced definition. My old TV had component inputs, and didn't even offer EDTV.
- Shaflugi, on 12/22/2007, -1/+14Why are you spamming this in comments instead of digging it..?
- ThankTheCheese, on 12/22/2007, -0/+11Indeed, and the department stores extorting customers by bundling several games with the few systems they do have are not much better.
- Edrick, on 12/22/2007, -0/+10Then you don't know Nintendo.
- Velnich, on 12/22/2007, -1/+11Most people don't say that because they wish they were doing it too, but because buying stock for the sake of reselling it is a douchbaggish thing to do when it prevents people from buying the same stock for personal use. If you want to be a retailer, start a business or ***** off.
I laughed at all the people who lost money trying to resell the ps3 when it first came out and also at that dumb bitch who bought a spot at the front of the line trying to buy out a store's iphone stock only to be told they were only selling 1 per customer. - imightbewrong, on 12/22/2007, -1/+10it sucks for nintendo because they'd be making so much more money if they could sell where supply hits demand
- YoHenYo, on 12/22/2007, -3/+12If you really wanted your kids to have it, they would have it by now...just put some work into getting it.
- harlowsmonkeys, on 12/22/2007, -1/+10Maybe Nintendo should do a reservation system, where you contact them, give your phone number, and they put you on a list. Take a certain percentage of production, and use it for people on the list, in order. When your turn comes up, they call and ask if you still need one. If you say yes, they ship one to a store near you, earmarked for you, and you go pick it up. If you don't pick it up in, say, a week, the store gets to sell it.
This way, people looking would at least know that they are going to get one someday, and Nintendo could even make a way to check online how fast they are going through the list, so you could figure out about how long you have to wait. And you could still check the stores to try to get one faster. - inactive, on 12/22/2007, -0/+9or that digg is not the only source of traffic?
- ogremidget, on 12/22/2007, -0/+9I heard that Europeans have no trouble finding Wiis... maybe Nintendo just likes the Euro more than the dollar.
- thewfirestarter, on 12/22/2007, -2/+11Wii games aren't strictly made for kids, many so far have just been kid-friendly. Games like Super Mario Galaxy is just as fun for kids as it is for adults. Rayman, Zelda, Sonic, etc are in the same boat. Just because every 3rd title isn't a first person shooter with graphic killing doesn't mean it's "made for little kids".
Manhunt 2 and Resident Evil titles are also available which refutes your little kids statement too. The being said, I agree that the frequency of decent Wii titles has been lackluster. But the GameCube also had a crappy first year of games too. - emjaymj, on 12/22/2007, -0/+8Some games look pretty damn nice on my Sharp Aquos 1080p LCD using component video.
- inactive, on 12/22/2007, -1/+9You're still a douchebag and deserve to be assraped with a telephone pole wrapped in razor wire.
- jobobshishkabob, on 12/22/2007, -0/+7God... digg's comment system bugged out on me. Any way, continued....
... minutes. They are making consoles just as fast, if not faster, as their competition. They are actually making a PROFIT on their consoles. If they gut supply, they would make less profit. Why the hell would they do that? THAT's not that ***** hard to understand. - otatop, on 12/22/2007, -0/+7Amazingly enough, you can link to just a normal HTML page in the Image section.
- broodking, on 12/22/2007, -1/+8how much money did that site make for me to visit there??
its got so many adds on it - Renton, on 12/22/2007, -1/+8Because then people would hate them.
- jobobshishkabob, on 12/22/2007, -0/+7Why the hell would they gut the supply? They've sold more consoles than Microsoft did even with a year difference on their releases. They are miles ahead of Sony in sales. If any store gets 10 or 20 in stock, they are sold in about 10 min (thats an over exaggeration). Any website that gets them in stock sell out in
- TheSmiddy, on 12/22/2007, -1/+7except they are currently producing consoles at a faster rate than any other console in history and the only way to produce more would be to open another factory which they would have done a cost benefit analysis of and realised that it would be uneconomical.
- hexydes, on 12/22/2007, -0/+6Since we are calling out the crappy stores that only sold bundles (and deservedly so), I must add that Target received a shipment of 72 Wii's at my local store last weekend, and sold every single one without a bundle.
- Epacitythug, on 12/22/2007, -1/+7I love BACON
- Smeed, on 12/22/2007, -7/+13http://www.joyoftech.com/joyoftech/joyimages/1048. ...
- etgoboom, on 12/22/2007, -6/+12if the wii shortages were due to the makers were playing wii sports, then the shortages would have only lasted for a week or two., as that is as long as that game remains fun
- dAviiDDD, on 12/22/2007, -2/+7I have one, and its great the first couple of weeks, but it gets a bit boring playing it by yourself, thats why i like to use it when i have friends over.
- schoate09, on 12/22/2007, -0/+5Truthfullly, I enjoy those games, if not more. I like a relaxing, fun theme, and Nintendo gives me plenty of fun besides shooting ailiens and "a blood effects engine". I'm quite conent with the lack of animated violence in BWII as well.
- Shawn4168, on 12/22/2007, -0/+5Almost every console in recent memory had a crappy first year of games. One or two gems, the rest sucked. Exception: N64.
- inactive, on 12/22/2007, -1/+5Hey include me in the underwhelmed by the wii crowd, but I wouldn't say its been a total dissapointment. There are a couple of really good games on the wii. But If I want cutting edge games, Im am gonna get them for my xbox.
- EXreaction, on 12/22/2007, -0/+4http://www.joyoftech.com.nyud.net:8080/joyoftech/i ...
- soupdawg30, on 12/22/2007, -1/+5Poor Gamecube
- gcauthon, on 12/22/2007, -0/+4I can't see a Wii scalper actually firing their Glock .45 (assuming they actually own one). That would totally ruin its resell value.
