- mets91, on 02/17/2008, -0/+80The Falco thing could prove to be annoying, we'll see how it turns out.
- KnockoutNerd, on 02/17/2008, -1/+47Brawl is looking to give Melee a run for its money, I just have to forget all the glitches I used in Melee that are absent in Brawl.
- inactive, on 02/17/2008, -2/+46digg = no advertising
- stereoa, on 02/17/2008, -11/+53One thing I love about competitive gaming is exploits. As long as they are not too overpowered they can actually become interesting gameplay modifiers. (bunnyhopping, conc jumping, wave dashing, etc)
- MutatedNantuko, on 02/17/2008, -1/+40Giga Jigglypuff is the thing of nightmares.
- inactive, on 02/17/2008, -5/+41The peach "glitches" which were discovered by me are not glitches. It is the new throwing mechanics in brawl that allow those things to happen, I dont really want to explain initial frames as I will just get flamed by the non competitive smash noobs.
- TangentThought, on 02/17/2008, -4/+38Exploits are extremely fun... until you realize that you suck at trying to do them. I know I can't be the only one who couldn't do certain exploits in Melee.
- Roger, on 02/17/2008, -1/+28Yes.
We all hoped you'd never find out. Alas, the game is up. - NathanialBurrer, on 02/17/2008, -1/+28Is the 'Lucario gaining attack power as he take in damage' thing really a glitch? Isn't it just a character trait? For him being a fighting Pokémon, and all... Also, it wouldn't really be that big of a deal if Lucario has high damage.
- fael, on 02/17/2008, -4/+27agree, but 18 discovered in barely a month out?
i just hope it won't turn out be the new 'snaking' from Mario Kart DS - Auxilium, on 02/17/2008, -0/+20That is NOT a glitch, you are correct it's a parallel with his characteristics from Pokemon.
- MioTheGreat, on 02/17/2008, -2/+22Still 22 days to go.
Argh!!! - theaceoffire, on 02/17/2008, -0/+20Too bad Super Jigglypuff doesn't get a new attack radius.
- Asianwaste, on 02/17/2008, -0/+20I'd rather have wave dashing than infinite wall reflectors. Fox must DIE
- spidoman, on 02/17/2008, -4/+24SSBB: Where bugs are called glitches, and glitches are called features.
- MioTheGreat, on 02/17/2008, -2/+21Uh. No.
- ryan83189, on 02/17/2008, -0/+19what if that was a glitch?
- Falldog, on 02/17/2008, -1/+19It just seems like things built into the game to me.
- MackPrime, on 02/17/2008, -0/+17GUYS GUESS WHERE THIS LINK GOES
- jsin1276, on 02/17/2008, -2/+17Glitch or not this game will be a game played for years.
- Davers, on 02/17/2008, -2/+17As was posted above, only 2 or 3 of these are actually glitches, such as the Toon Link Down Smash - the rest, like the Falco laser, are just ways the game works. I wouldn't call this terrible quality control - what other game with dozens of DIFFERENT playable characters ONLINE didn't have this many unforseen advantages?
- YouRookies, on 02/17/2008, -2/+16You guys bitching about glitches obviously have never played a fighting game at a high level. ALL fighting games from SF2 to Tekken, they ALL have glitches that are used. As long as it doesn't BREAK the game then it's fair play. Adapt or get left behind.
- agentbob, on 02/17/2008, -1/+15*You're
- paradigm1220, on 02/17/2008, -1/+14Digg shows no mercy.
- shadydentist, on 02/17/2008, -2/+15The bowser one made me laugh. He looks like hes having the time of his life.
- oldnavy1918, on 02/17/2008, -0/+12Event mode? Yeah it has it!
- ictharus, on 02/17/2008, -0/+12So you haven't been obsessively refreshing the "SMASH BROS. DOJO!" website?
Shame on you. - credence, on 02/17/2008, -0/+12Kirby != JigglyPuff
- mixmastabeef, on 02/17/2008, -0/+11you guys are all bastards
- Sumudu, on 02/17/2008, -1/+12No, the jigglypuff thing is definitely *not* supposed to happen.
Maybe you didn't watch the whole thing, but she didn't go back to normal size like she's supposed to. The bridge restoration did some weird thing where jigglypuff stayed huge (but her "hit radius" reverts back to normal size). Definitely a glitch, though not too major since it is limited to that one stage (so far). - thesauce, on 02/17/2008, -4/+15I think it's going to go beyond even what Melee was. We are just scratching the surface of the game's depth and now we have online play.
It is going to be epic. - YellowSnowDemon, on 02/17/2008, -1/+11Your friends are just *****. www.smashboards.com Learn, and destroy them!
Competition ftw. - mpphan, on 02/17/2008, -2/+12Your digg username is the same as your SmashBoards username. Or at least similar...
Long live competitive smashing! - slamtv7, on 02/17/2008, -0/+10Who didn't see that coming? Honestly, I said rick roll before the tab even opened.
- BlueSkyfish, on 02/17/2008, -0/+9Because you're watching a low quality youtube video.
- MiDri, on 02/17/2008, -1/+9he is supposed to do that, is the point. As thus, it is not a glitch.
- Narcowski, on 02/17/2008, -0/+8digg has ads?
- teamparadox, on 02/17/2008, -0/+8No, wii games cant be patched. At least not right now they cant. They could update the firmware to allow a game to execute from the system memory and they could add patching to the development kits so devs could use it (in theory) but that opens up a big problem.
The Wii's built in drive is too small. Also having to check for updates to games would be an incredible pain in the ass. XBL auto checks on every boot and downloads the update, applies it and reloads the game in about 30 seconds. It needs to be that easy, but again right now the Wii nor the SDK supports any form of patching and depending on the way the system was designed it may not even be possible at all. - inactive, on 02/17/2008, -3/+10A lot of these are not glitches are supposed to be done like the snake bomb thing, its like rocket jumping. Also the jigglypuff thing is supposed to happen.
- mushoo, on 02/17/2008, -4/+11Stop bitching about the snaking!
http://web.archive.org/web/20070528063230/http://w ... - D3koy, on 02/17/2008, -3/+9Was I the last person on earth to find out the guy from Pikmin would be in this game?
- alx1507, on 02/17/2008, -5/+11I don't think a lot of these are glitches. These are all being done in training mode, in Melee I'm pretty sure the exact same thing happens. Training mode makes it so that the computer just stands there and doesn't try to avoid attacks. The infinite double jump 'glitch' is only when you're above land, so is useless for trying to recover. I think this whole article is inaccurate.
- Klarth, on 02/17/2008, -4/+10Won't somebody PLEASE think of the Europeans?
- Commonwealth, on 02/17/2008, -0/+6Ha, maybe I'll just memorize everything for one character. That's the ticket!
- worthone, on 02/17/2008, -0/+6It's unacceptable but still you're paying for it? Talk about a dissatisfied customer.
- theragu40, on 02/17/2008, -2/+8I absolutely agree. In fact, after watching these videos, I'm not completely convinced that they're really glitches. It's not called exploiting, it's called being familiar with the game and mastering its idiosyncrasies.
- Auxilium, on 02/17/2008, -3/+9The glitch was done on a motionless Bowser; if you were to tech just one of those shots when you hit the ground it would break the sequence.
- LordSubtle, on 02/17/2008, -1/+7No hard feelings. If it was anyone else I would probobly report/ignore you, but you've greated alot of genuinely good content for us soon to be brawlers. If you really were a heartless advertising bitch you would have submitted this yourself, instead of had someone else do it for you.
- se1zure, on 02/17/2008, -0/+6so you prefer the not to be able to fix any bugs that are encountered after testing?
- Koushiro, on 02/17/2008, -0/+5Look at this, I see like 3 that are either glitches or exploits, most of the others look to be just cheesy moves or people playing with the wacky Smash Brothers physics. Innacurate.
