- neferiousrich, on 11/21/2007, -3/+73An elegant weapon, for a more civilized age
- bat-21, on 11/21/2007, -2/+40I find your lack of faith disturbing.
- heartcoldfusion, on 11/21/2007, -3/+31Um I think the whole allure of a lightsaber is the fact that it's a glowing energy sword that badass monks use, not that the weight is in the hilt.
- bjs3171, on 11/21/2007, -1/+25uh...is there, like, a game to go along with this, or is this jsut for people who think their wiimote is a puppy?
- securitymonkey, on 11/21/2007, -1/+21In other news, female buyers of the Wii console tripled this quarter...
- Puppetfunk, on 11/21/2007, -0/+17It also seems that if you get bored with it you can pleasure yourself with it.
- cesclaveria, on 11/21/2007, -1/+14Does it come in red?
- cambob76, on 11/21/2007, -2/+9It's too small. (yeah, I know: That's what she said).
- MewTwo, on 11/21/2007, -7/+13I completely forgot about the Star Wars kid, awww.
- hydrodev, on 11/21/2007, -2/+8No, they made it for the tennis game.
- KewlerKid3, on 11/21/2007, -1/+6This is what the Wii was made for.
- Haohmaru, on 11/21/2007, -1/+5Getting Star Wars fans to spend even more money on Star Wars stuff?
- Picklestyle, on 11/22/2007, -0/+4That is very nerdtastic. I showed it to my wife and she asked if it was a vibrator or a Wii Controller, I replied its Wii Lightsaber, but I guarantee its going to be put in someones ass.
- iofthestorm, on 11/21/2007, -0/+4Umm, there is a Wii version of The Force Unleashed though. Fail.
http://www.lucasarts.com/company/release/news20070 ... - ceredron, on 11/21/2007, -1/+4Say what you will, I'll still be sporting this while playing twilight princess.
- toecutter169, on 11/21/2007, -1/+4Wii lightsaber? Already on my Christmas wishlist, even if I have to wait for the game.
- scotto808, on 11/21/2007, -1/+4Just when the Star Wars Kid thought he was out, they pull him back in...
- frosted, on 11/21/2007, -0/+2LOL Yep, I'll bet it vibrates!
- ButchersBoy, on 11/22/2007, -1/+3Wow there are some thick people on this thread.
- inactive, on 11/21/2007, -0/+2I meant for a realistic SW game.
- inactive, on 11/21/2007, -0/+2Not a lot, and it's not innacurate at all. (Menus use 1:1 movement.)
- zdiddy85, on 11/22/2007, -1/+3Is this phrase ever going to die?
DIE YOU! DIE!!! - Punisher2K, on 11/21/2007, -0/+2That lightsaber needs some Viagra...
- ButchersBoy, on 11/22/2007, -0/+2Oh dear.
- Picklestyle, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1I would prefer to pay less for a device to stick my wiimote into. Than spend more for a controller that can only be used with that game.
- Flamekebab, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1I hear ya, Syphon8!
- leerayIG88, on 11/21/2007, -4/+5Squirrelza, I found one use for this. Sticking the lightsaber up your ass.
- XMorbius, on 11/21/2007, -1/+2Cool as this is... It looks like the lightsaber attachment blocks the IR sensor on the Wii Remote. How could it actually be used in a lightsaber game?
- doshindude, on 11/25/2007, -0/+1good luck plugging in the nunchuk.
- deviationer, on 11/21/2007, -1/+2what the *****, how about these companies actually spend some money and license the tech of the wii mote and build an actual device. Not some ***** thing that you just stick your wii mote in.
- sanman, on 11/22/2007, -0/+1How can you? He's so incredible:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GJOVPjhXMY - Zidane, on 11/21/2007, -2/+2You only need the accelerometers for a light saber game, not the IR sensor
- darthmater, on 07/18/2008, -0/+0Kind of neat but I want the full length saber!!!
- Frei, on 11/21/2007, -1/+1I assume this will come out with the force unleashed but I could be used for other games. I gotta pick one of these up.
- djdingo, on 11/21/2007, -2/+1Is it me or does that thing look like a vibrator? Maybe I'll get one for my girlfriend...oh wait, I don't have one, I'm on digg...
- Heavy, on 11/21/2007, -2/+1The reason they don't is that even if it's theoretically possible to do it whit a Wiimote it's not possible in practise. If you think about what kind of data the Wiimote will produce when you swing it around. Add to that measuring inaccuracy and ***** and it's not gonna happen.
- cambob76, on 11/21/2007, -2/+1Derrrrrr...
- hydrodev, on 11/21/2007, -2/+1ZIIINNNGGG!
- p014k, on 11/21/2007, -4/+3My Wii wouldn't be able to handle a lightsaber of that magnitude!
- Devido, on 11/22/2007, -1/+0This is awesome. Finally all those teenage years of practicing with an orange bat in the back yard will pay off.
- inactive, on 11/21/2007, -10/+9No,no,no,no
The whole allure was that if lightsabers were real the weight would all be in the hilt. An attachment defeats the purpose. - dizzythegreat, on 11/21/2007, -2/+1Nintendo, seriously...GIVE US A WII LIGHTSABER GAME. SERIOUSLY. PLEASE. Maybe a Wii version of "The Force Unleashed"? Please?
- inactive, on 11/21/2007, -5/+4Star Wars Kid 2.0 is some funny *****.
- johnfavroROX, on 11/22/2007, -1/+0OMG that is too geeky.
- bodega, on 11/25/2007, -2/+0I suggest people put their Wiimotes in a paper towel tube and save their money
http://www.darkmessiah.com - inactive, on 11/21/2007, -2/+0more info: http://www.mahalo.com/Wii_Lightsaber
- JT114881, on 11/21/2007, -3/+1Force*
- hydrodev, on 11/21/2007, -6/+3i see what you did there.
- freezerburn666, on 11/21/2007, -5/+1was there eveer a blue lightsabre?
