- inactive, on 08/17/2008, -2/+78People get paid to comment on digg? Where do I sign up? ^^
- Totz83, on 08/17/2008, -2/+71It could be likened to the NES, you just stick it in there, and if it doesn't work give it a good blow
- SeaweedWater, on 08/17/2008, -24/+84I'll bet he couldn't tell you that much about the female anatomy.
- WhiteLaser, on 08/17/2008, -0/+36NES Historian, I'm pretty sure you're going to read this:
This is the first video I've seen of yours. The content is interesting, but the presentation is a little too dry and straightforward. Maybe work on your voice to make it more dynamic. Mix up the editing too. I found it a little too "slow" and I'm sure you can do more than just functionally show some images to go along with the narration. Does that make sense?
I'm not saying you have to lose your style or be totally wacky and X-treme and cater to the ADD no-attention span crowd, but consider making things a little less flat in the future. Just my feedback. - soonerthennow, on 08/17/2008, -10/+41Okay, Honestly, who is this kid fooling? A quick google shows that his 'script' is a near copy/paste of Wikipedia. Why do people keep Digging him up for obvious plagiarism? We should *not* be giving this person the 15 minutes of fame on Digg for doing something that is not only illegal, but morally bankrupt.

oh wait. it's a glitch in the matrix. - c010rb1indusa, on 08/17/2008, -3/+23I had an NES 2. My dad bought it for me in 95 after i got my tonsils removed. The rounded controllers were so nice plus top loading cartridges were way better then the slot load.
- inactive, on 08/17/2008, -2/+19Um, Why did you say the same thing as gk128?
- inactive, on 08/17/2008, -1/+17Um, Why did you say the same thing as euphoria860 and gk128?
- Smokes, on 08/17/2008, -0/+15Hmmm... wondering if it's even possible to plagarise Wikipedia.....
- Gimpyfuzznut, on 08/17/2008, -0/+15I think you really need to re-read that definition of inflation.
- gcauthon, on 08/17/2008, -5/+20I'm not surprised the Gaming Historian is unpopular. I just recently heard of his work, and it sucks. I hope I never see any more of his videos in the future.
- eelwrolyat, on 08/17/2008, -6/+18Did anyone ever own the Virtual Boy? That machine was NOT good for your eyes at all, but I hear now that that system could get you $200-$300 on eBay. I only wish I didn't sell it for $50 at a garage sale.
- aptmunich, on 08/17/2008, -2/+14Wow, so many spammy comments... nice job GH! BURY!
- staystellar, on 08/17/2008, -0/+11+1 for making me laugh out loud XD
- Kupe, on 08/17/2008, -0/+9Wow, it only had an RF output? I always wanted one of these things, but now I don't feel so bad.
- mcfrosticles, on 08/17/2008, -1/+10Hi, Gaming Historian here.
Just to clear things up a bit. This was my first episode. I know the audio is terrible, I know the intro is way too long, and yeah it probably didn't need a review at the end. I have little money for equipment and have no past experience making videos. But it was my first try, and I am glad I made it.
I am NOT paying people to spam comments here. Jesus, I go to college full time, how could I pay for that. In fact, I didn't even ask for this post to hit Digg. It got dugg because someone enjoys my work.
This show is not for everyone, I will admit that. So if you enjoy it, great! If you don't, I thank you for at least watching and giving it a try.
PS: I have been seeing someone for the past 2 years, so no, I don't need to get laid. Just thought I would clear that up.
PSS: Anyone good at drawing? If anyone would be interested in making fanart or a logo, I would be thankful beyond belief. =)

- flamov, on 08/17/2008, -8/+16Finally, someone who isn't trying to be "the next AVGN". His two episodes about the rise and fall of the Dreamcast are exceptionally awesome.
- snareguy17, on 08/17/2008, -0/+8No joke I actually had an NES 2 because my first one broke from jamming the games in too hard.
- NTolerance, on 08/17/2008, -0/+6The original NES had composite outputs.
- randyrandall, on 08/17/2008, -2/+8*****, you're right!
- Jektal, on 08/17/2008, -4/+10Ah yeah, I've still got one of these things, somewhere. A huge improvement over the original NES
- uncoolcentral, on 08/17/2008, -0/+5Yes, there are spammy comments. Yes, he took much of his script from wikipedia. Did I digg it? No. Yes, it was a decent video nonetheless.
- DivisibleByZero, on 08/17/2008, -0/+5Hahaha, somebody posted example text and their minions were too dumb to paraphrase. God bless Mechanical Turk.
- LongShlong, on 08/17/2008, -0/+5Looks like you'll have to keep searching, sir.
- Jareth86, on 08/17/2008, -2/+7Jesus, ease up on the poor kid. He's just a guy, making youtube vids...
- NidStyles, on 08/17/2008, -4/+9I had one of those back in the day. Wow, digging up old memories
- Tysplo, on 08/17/2008, -3/+8Not to mention minimum wage was around half of what it is today.
- guitarman018, on 08/17/2008, -0/+5Well played sir
- DarkShroud, on 08/17/2008, -0/+5The video was ok. I remember wanting one of these. But my original NES still works atm. Though it was amusing to see him play Tiny Toons. That almost makes me want to dig my copy out and play it again.
As for the shelf comments, I found the front loading was nicer since I didn't need as much head room. - KimonoThief, on 08/17/2008, -0/+4every day is deja-vu day on digg
- DiggLord, on 08/17/2008, -0/+4That's why I got me a second wife!
- ejaywillie, on 08/17/2008, -0/+4Then again, SNES were more than $50 back then.
- forceuser, on 08/17/2008, -0/+4Digg hates everyone it seems.
- uclaith, on 08/17/2008, -0/+4I, Gaming Historian, am the really popular. I make top notch work and don't afraid of anything.
- Vincent21212, on 08/17/2008, -0/+4I concur. He's doing good work.
- BoneheadFarker, on 08/17/2008, -0/+3Meh...he's actually got the hardware to go along with the stories. I'll give him a pass...
- mikexr, on 08/17/2008, -1/+4I'm surprised the Gaming Historian is not more popular. I just recently heard of his work, but it is all top notch. I really look forward to what he is going to do in the future.
- Jareth86, on 08/18/2008, -0/+3Yeah, what a loser! Not like us, right?
...Right? - FoxtrotUSAF, on 08/17/2008, -0/+3Actually they stole Halo form the Mac, but let's not split hairs. :)
- teamgwho, on 08/17/2008, -0/+3McLovin is doing youtube videos?
- inactive, on 08/17/2008, -3/+6I'm surprised the Gaming Historian is not more popular. I just recently heard of his work, but it is all top notch. I really look forward to what he is going to do in the future.
- JettaMan, on 08/17/2008, -4/+7Takes time for things to build momentum. It has pretty good production values and good information, so it will do fine.
- Eric-tile, on 08/17/2008, -2/+5I actually thought his video was pretty good. Granted, after a couple minutes into the video it did feel like it was moving a bit slowly, however it seemed that the information was very well presented. There also didn't seem to be any garbage information.
- inactive, on 08/17/2008, -0/+2pun intended?
- davidaod, on 08/17/2008, -0/+2Pesto with your copypasta?
- dfa327, on 08/19/2008, -0/+2Was this kid even alive in 1983? He looks so young!
