- Superperson, on 01/12/2008, -4/+51Nintendo needs to tighten up their certification system or the Wii will be filled with crap. At present, Nintendo has little to no restrictions on what they put their seal of approval on, enabling the games on this list.

- qwas, on 01/12/2008, -6/+37It's so fustrating, the Wii imo is such a good console yet there's only a handfull of decent games......a very small handfull.
- spiffyfitz, on 01/12/2008, -2/+33What happened to the "Nintendo Seal of Quality" ?
They have to bring that back and brand the games that aren't *****. - stellarceltic, on 01/12/2008, -4/+29SSBB and Mario Kart are all I need.

- juicebag, on 01/12/2008, -5/+19Just because a system has some bad games doesn't mean that you should sell it.
- adeadwaffle, on 01/12/2008, -0/+14It was a joke...
- JigoroKano, on 01/12/2008, -0/+13I remember when the Nintendo seal of quality meant something.

.... yup.... major WTF for the punishing part. - RetardoCrisp, on 01/12/2008, -10/+19They were going to include Super Mario Galaxy on that list as well? WTF are THEY smoking? Least innovative?? What a bunch of myopic tools.
- Iccarus, on 01/12/2008, -3/+12"I think Super Mario Galaxy was the worst game of 2007 because it didn't innovate in any real way."
What a stupid *****. - samard2002, on 01/12/2008, -6/+14I have a Wii, but only ever play Wii Sports. Of all my consoles, it sits unused 99% of the time. It was fun at first, but I never find myself wanting to play it or get new games for it. I know it's the leading console on the market, but I wonder how many other Wii owners share my experience.
- gonegoogling, on 01/12/2008, -2/+10so you win either way!
- inactive, on 01/12/2008, -1/+9Dude, that PS3 offer is a blatant scam.

- KSUdesigner, on 01/12/2008, -0/+8For starters, you don't buy expensive items on ebay from sellers with a rating of 7.
- poxonyou, on 01/12/2008, -3/+11The problem is a lack of serious development from 3rd parties. The major 3rd parties are spending most of their money and resources on the other 2. Because of the major hardware differences this time (last generation consoles were all generally on equal level), many of those games are not coming to the Wii. Instead, Wii owners get crap. I don't entirely blame 3rd parties as Nintendo shouldn't have released a system with such weak hardware. I think they were so afraid of being shut out, they worried more about offering an irresistible lower price and turning a profit from the start (instead of taking a hit as Sony and MS did). They made their money, but it looks like in the long race, the Wii will fade away as the PS3 rises to the top (not being a Sony fanboy, don't own any Sony console atm, just all the recent news, plus the 360 is very unpopular in Japan where many of the major game companies still are).
- maxyRO, on 01/12/2008, -2/+9some of those look trippy
- Renton, on 01/12/2008, -1/+8It doesn't matter how many bad games there are. You're only going to buy the good games anyway.
- inactive, on 01/12/2008, -1/+8It's possibly the best game ever made.
- JHattendorfII, on 01/12/2008, -3/+9super mario galaxy
- chrisinsocalif, on 01/12/2008, -2/+8Why wont game designers catch a clue about making games based off movies. Most games based off movies or shows suck.
- crichton101, on 01/12/2008, -2/+8so we can only get a small handful of games to play? That's usually what kills a game system, when the only people making games for it are themselves.
- KSUdesigner, on 01/12/2008, -1/+7Because that's what "true *****" do, duh.
- inactive, on 01/12/2008, -0/+5Why those two getting burried? Those are OMG OMG games.
- Blue_Eon, on 01/12/2008, -1/+6Let's see here:
Zack and Wiki
Zelda
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
Trauma Center games
Metroid Prime 3
Mario Strikers
Battalion Wars
Nights
Supposedly the Godfather game is good for the Wii.
Soul Calibur Legends
I play my Wii a lot, but it has more games I like. I have a 360, but I mainly use it as a media extender, especially since the xvid update. I'm not much into the games that it has. I either play my Wii or my PC for Orange Box - smackhero, on 01/12/2008, -0/+5there's no reason why games based off of movies have to suck. it's just that no one bothers to make them good. it's the same reason the other games on the list are crappy--they didn't try to make a good game. they were just trying to turn a quick profit with minimal investment. studios know that people will buy games based on top-selling films regardless of quality--so why bother spending money on development?

- JigoroKano, on 01/12/2008, -0/+4Nice spin.
- Fallout911, on 01/12/2008, -2/+6Nintendo needs that "OMG OMG' game or the Wii will fade into obscurity.
And yes I do own one. - Jaymoon, on 01/12/2008, -3/+7You are definitely not the only one...
- MarkOfTheDead, on 01/12/2008, -0/+4What kills me was how game companies had to release unofficially for the nes (like codemasters) back in the day yet had awesome games, however I look at the wii shelf looking to pick up something fun and it all looks like recycled ***** and quirky put down after 10 minutes games.
Don't get me wrong, I love my wii and all but the honest truth is these crappy *****-games are making a bad example and lots of publishers are getting lazy because it doesn't necessarily have to look any better than the sloppy ps2 ports out there with the rest and it just makes me sad to go through an entire rack and walk out empty handed and disappointed or with a DS game instead. - Nichael, on 01/12/2008, -0/+4Wow, that was an awful attempt to bash another console.

http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ps3/supe ... - YellowSnowDemon, on 01/13/2008, -0/+4The Nintendo Seal of Quality scared 3rd party developers away. It's back, and they're rewarding Nintendo with pure *****.
- smackhero, on 01/12/2008, -0/+4i don't think there's anything wrong with the Wii's hardware. it's the only reasonably priced next-gen console, and clearly good games can be developed for the platform, just not the same type of games being developed for the PS3/360.
if nintendo can create good games for the Wii, then there's no reason why other developers can't take advantage of the Wii's innovative control system as well. the problem lies entirely with 3rd party developers who just want to jump on the Wii bandwagon. they see it as the most popular console, and a very lucrative market with low cost of entry (compared to the ps3 and 360).
this isn't a bad thing on nintendo's part, as it gives smaller independent game developers a chance to develop for the platform, which brings greater variety and innovation. however, in our capitalist society there will always be an abundance of people who just want to make a quick buck by turning out crappy games by the dozens. there's really nothing that nintendo can do about that except to make sure that they keep producing quality games to counter the influx of garbage games. - solistus, on 01/12/2008, -0/+3Wario Ware is awesome.
- crichton101, on 01/12/2008, -4/+7I love the Wii, but yeah, I own only 4 games, and only like 3 of them. I honestly don't care much for Resident Evil Chronicles, but RE4 is awesome, I love Ghost Squad, but Wii sports gets played more then anything else. I don't have a whole lot of time to devote to game playing anymore. The Wii and it's controller is such a great idea, but so far there hasn't been much if anything that really sells me on any of the other games, outside of the virtual console, but then, it comes once a week, theres never really anyway that I've seen to see what games are coming out and when, so it's just kind of a hassle. There are old games I would be willing to pay for to play on the wii, but since I have no idea if they will ever come out, I will just have to stick to emulators and roms where I can get any and every game I want to play.
