- navster15, on 08/14/2008, -2/+65Overall a good list, but I feel that the Phoenix Wright series should have been on there. Yes I know they were originally GBA games, but frankly, if you aren't yelling "OBJECTION!!!" into the mic, you aren't playing Phoenix Wright.
- franklymister, on 08/14/2008, -4/+38PSP = Supermodel who keeps spending all your money and is lousy in bed
DS = Cute rock chick who doesn't care what you do on a date, she has fun wherever you go. - postmodernpilot, on 08/14/2008, -0/+33OBJECTION!!!!!!!
- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -2/+33No Brain Age? Dr Kawashima is gonna be pissed.
- SirBryce, on 08/14/2008, -2/+27I think Phoenix Wright has some of the best writing in video games.
- zhaojon, on 08/14/2008, -1/+22Final Fantasy IV is solid.
- jarjarwang, on 08/14/2008, -0/+20Picross should be on that list.
- SaraSu, on 08/14/2008, -1/+21Where the ***** is Phoenix Wright?
Can't digg it for that reason. - kingmanic, on 08/14/2008, -5/+22#31 invalidated the list. Guitar hero DS is a piece of *****. Playing it cripples you.
- TomRemixed, on 08/14/2008, -1/+18I don't see how anyone could not see the sarcasm in that comment...
- ZephyrNinety, on 08/14/2008, -2/+18Did ANYONE read all of this?
- Miche1987, on 08/14/2008, -1/+17"...but frankly, if you aren't yelling "OBJECTION!!!" into the mic, you aren't playing Phoenix Wright."
I see what you did there. - MatCon5, on 08/14/2008, -2/+17Holy *****, what a mess.
- JDL917, on 08/14/2008, -2/+16Why not just make a list of 30? They added that one extra spot to include Carpal Tunnel Hero? Without that it's a decent list.
- WhiteMike87, on 08/14/2008, -2/+15final fantasy tactics a2 is an amazing game. the customization alone deserves credit.
- roxya, on 08/14/2008, -2/+15What the ***** is this?

I demand a recount! - sk11, on 08/14/2008, -2/+13This is poor even by digg's rock bottom standards.
- Antialias, on 08/14/2008, -1/+12PSP tastes great, but it's less filling.
- Coffeedemon, on 08/14/2008, -1/+11Tetris doesn't belong on a best of list? That game will be played while we're all in the cold, cold ground....
- championchap, on 08/13/2008, -2/+12Glad Sonic Rush made the list, Hideki Naganuma is one HELL of a composer, also did a lot of the songs for the Jet Set Radio games.
- zplus, on 08/14/2008, -2/+11Dawn of Sorrow should of been #1
- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -0/+9Because that filet mignon has ***** NETFRONT as a browser.
- Jektal, on 08/14/2008, -0/+9I'm digging you, despite my on-again/off-again hatred for that game.
It's a LOT better than Tactics Advance, but not nearly as good as the original.
Working your way through the class skills can be tedious if you don't have a large pile of inventory around; the "switch class, go to shop, check for items, switch class, go back to shop..." cycle.
The laws are sometimes ridiculously limiting. I recently got a law that required less than 50 damage per attack, which meant I couldn't use any of my "main" characters, and then one of my lower peons got a critical hit, pushing me over the 50 dmg limit. Or the law that states "Nu Mou"s cannot perform actions - not being a big fan of the recent FF "culture" I had no clue what that even was.
There's about 50 classes, but they're race-based, so if you want one of the advanced classes you need to know the full path to it, and what race can get it. And a lot of the class abilities either flat out suck (looking at you, Tinker), or are duplicates from other classes (Air Render?). They should have just focused on a smaller, better class set.
The AI sucks - I'm now at a mission where I need to protect an AI character, who starts on the other side of the map, and has the ability to heal itself. But rather than run to me or heal itself when damaged, it keeps blindly attacking the enemies in it's corner. It keeps dieing within the first 2 turns before I can get anywhere near it! - tapeworm77, on 08/14/2008, -0/+8Legend of Zelda - Phantom Princess
Did that come out sometime between Phantom Hourglass and Twilight Princess? - NidStyles, on 08/14/2008, -0/+8Get a new GF then.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 08/14/2008, -1/+9Elite Beat Agents
- xtmno3, on 08/14/2008, -0/+8How about we save the personal list and go with the generally agreed upon list?
http://www.metacritic.com/games/ds/scores/ - NewClassic, on 08/14/2008, -0/+7Polarium, Meteos, Metroid Prime: Hunters, Trauma Center(s), Professor Layton, Kirby: Canvas Curse, WarioWare: Touched, Feel the Magic XX:XY/The Rub Rabbits...
Just to name a few. - NeMoD, on 08/14/2008, -0/+7no Runefactory? that game is great!
- ELCad, on 08/13/2008, -1/+8Good list. I'd add Worms: Open Warfare 2 and Bomberman Land Touch!
- coyote1284, on 08/14/2008, -0/+7"The World Ends With You" comes to mind.
- JustAn0th3rFace, on 08/14/2008, -0/+6TheDS has a great library of solid games. Gamepro put out a top 31 list (not a top 25, 31..) and we are still saying there were games needed to be added to the list.
- Shadic, on 08/14/2008, -0/+6The beatmaps get better with each game in the franchise. I liked a lot of the songs in Ouendan 1, but the beatmaps were terrible in comparison to the ones in EBA and Ouendan 2.
Say what you think of the songs, though. But in my opinion, most of the covers were pretty decent, and the songs worked pretty well in the game.
And Jumpin' Jack Flash was awesome. - dekuscrub, on 08/14/2008, -0/+6What a *****-load of *****!
- bjarkebech, on 08/14/2008, -3/+8dugg because i just got a ds
- JayKeaton, on 08/14/2008, -0/+5I don't have any shame.
*hides in DS* - trixyfox, on 08/14/2008, -1/+6How about Phantom Hourglass?
- Taedirk, on 08/14/2008, -2/+7#8: Elite Beat Agents: [...] When people say "there's no other game like this", they aren't lying, folks.
Except Ouendan. Which came first. And did it better -- better note patterns, non-***** music. There are maybe two songs in EBA I would willingly listen to outside of gameplay. - ej1oo1, on 08/14/2008, -1/+6because the cat food has a touch screen!
- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -0/+5TRACE MEMORY?
I played that game for like, 20 hours straight. - wakesabre, on 08/14/2008, -0/+5I'd add Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates for its multiplayer, and Clubhouse games for the same reason. Otherwise, good list.
- inactive, on 08/14/2008, -1/+5What the hell?
You can't play WoW and call people 'newbiefags'... - Falldog, on 08/14/2008, -0/+4Lunar Knights is great when it comes to the game play. Unfortunately the story is so flat and boring it's obvious why it's not more popular.
- IHaveIssues, on 08/14/2008, -0/+4Get back on the meds...for our sake.
- arobicha, on 08/14/2008, -1/+5@franklymister
You sleep with your systems? - Synn, on 08/14/2008, -1/+5You don't like it, therefore it isn't one of the best games?
- nicko68, on 08/14/2008, -0/+4I disagree with this. Every game has to support touch? There is more to the DS than the touchscreen. There are the 2 screens (which Mario Kart uses effectively). And there are still 6 buttons on the thing that don't have to be ignored just because there is a touch screen.
