Abstract refers to conceptual art and that can refer to a broad range of styles. It'd definitely not Cubist. Cubism refers to multiple angles of view being combined into a single representation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cubism
This is pure postmodernism (an ironic term in itself). They're taking multiple stylistic influences, mostly dating from the Renaissance and juxtaposing them with the blocky visuals of the 8-bit era.
