IGN: Exclusive Reveal: Guitar Hero DS

ds.ign.com — More than a year ago, Activision revealed that the company was interested in branching its Guitar Hero franchise onto platforms such as the Nintendo DS. It's been a long wait, but the company has finally revealed exclusively to IGN and Yahoo the Guitar Hero game that will soon hit the dual-screen handheld later this year.

    I was really skeptical at the idea of Guitar Hero on the DS, but I'm really excited to see where this goes now.

    • univerio, on 03/20/2008, -0/+1Um, I don't think it will be, because the game Taiko no Tatsujin (or Taiko Drum Master, which is an arcade drumming game very popular in Japan and previously released on PS2) works very well on the PSP. The only thing that's bad about it is that you don't actually use sticks, but for the console to be portable you wouldn't really want to carry a mat and two sticks around. So the same will probably go for Guitar Hero on DS: buttons only, no guitar. It's not a real guitar anyways. :)

    I am kind of iffy on the whole thing...Its cool for people who play GH by themselves, but I see it as more of a party game.

        Time you could spend doing real stuff? I have rock band. But it's not something I prefer over playing a real instrument and making real music.

My goal isn't too play a real instrument, I have no desire to. Some people just like playing the game, which last time I checked, GH and rock band are GAMES.
