I got the classic controller for the Wii and it's nice for the SNES games but the NES games just don't play right with it. You can't remap the buttons and the 'A' and 'B' buttons are just far enough away to make it really difficult to hit both by rolling the thumb to the side like you did on the original controller.

  • matt.rubin, on 06/16/2008, -0/+2it was designed that way because Nintendo did not know if 2D games would catch on. So they developed the controller so It would be able to play 2D and 3D games easily. The L button is just a replacement for the Z button.
