First gameplay footage of new Wii FPS watch!
joystiq.com — There's at least one original FPS Wii owners can look forward to, The Conduit looks amazing!
- 1801 diggs
- digg it
- PeteBeast, on 05/18/2008, -11/+102Looks very nice, graphics look well with the Quantum3 engine. The only thing I would criticize would be that the game looks a bit too dark. Other than that, it looks good for a FPS on the Wii. Hope it works!
- ElAssoWipo, on 05/18/2008, -1/+14Anyone out there know why they make the games so dark now?
GTA4 has the same problem, I need to put contrast almost maxed out to see anything during daytime. And COD4 does the same thing, almost all of them actually.
Is there a supposed purpose or do they actually think it looks nice? Maybe to hide the lack of good anti-aliasing?- Supernova36, on 05/18/2008, -1/+5I heard that dark textures actually take up less space than light ones. I did hear this in relation to very early FPS games like Doom though..
- jgtg32a, on 05/18/2008, -0/+10Its not that they take up less space, its that they are less detailed because its dark and you can't see the details anyway.
- IndigoMoss, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1That seems like the most likely reason. It takes more work to detail every texture instead of just dimming things down a bit. They're also trying to make it feel gritty, but I think that's just more of an excuse than anything. Still great games though.
- sanman, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1They should've made Resident Evil with this engine
- Elliuotatar, on 05/18/2008, -1/+2Dark textures do not take up less space than light ones, but it does allow you to use fewer textures, and add less detail. If you have lots of shadows for example, you can have a a big wall with the same texture all across it and get away with it.
But for a game like GTA4 or COD4, the game is probably just dark because the developers work in a dark office, often at night, and/or they don't want to sacrifice the look of the game just so you can play in the middle of the day with your shades wide open.
- KingBabi, on 05/18/2008, -0/+4I've realized the same thing, but I always figured it was because I wasn't playing on an HDTV, I have a 10 year old Trinitron. The colors and contrast aren't as pronounced and everything.
- Zap2, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1to be fair, we've only seen a small part of this game, who knows if it will get lighter.
But your point still stands, I was just saying for this game. - themastersb, on 05/18/2008, -0/+18It's to reflect the darkness in the game designer's heart.
- ipodman715, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1EMO!
- lasercannon, on 05/18/2008, -4/+2Dark backgrounds + brown scenery = realism
At least, that's what they say in Zero Punctuation. - 808ethan, on 05/18/2008, -0/+4Its a 'director' type thing. General belief is 'dark' = 'serious'. Go to google images and compare any image from a crime/law show to an image from a comedy.
House - dark, Grey's Anatomy - Light, Scrubs - Super Nova!
I think PS3 and 360 associate light with ignorant and are trying to difference themselves from Wii as much as possible. - Enisity, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1I believe its becaues its ment for a hi def tv which allows you to see dark areas better then just a standard tv.
- troub, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1It may have something to do with High Dynamic Range effects that everyone's using now, to make really bright stuff (like the sun) seem truly blinding.
- Supernova36, on 05/18/2008, -1/+5I heard that dark textures actually take up less space than light ones. I did hear this in relation to very early FPS games like Doom though..
- MattS, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1I'm glad you asked. I have the same question, but just thought it was my equipment, or my age. :(
- fuzzynyanko, on 05/18/2008, -7/+1Just wait until Killzone 2. However, I also bet it's used to exaggerate lighting effects. At least this game has color
- mikephimikephi, on 05/18/2008, -8/+1Firstly, dark textures take up the same amount of space as light textures. Filesize is far more dependent on resolution and contrast.
Secondly, the darkness tendency you mention is probably due to the way you connect to your display. I used component cables at 1080i on a 1080p capable display for my ps3 for a few months. My brother picked up a HDMI cable recently and the difference is amazing. I had to restore the contrast and brightness settings to default as I had maxed them out whilst using component cables. I recommend you give it a go. Plus you get the benefit of being able to upscale DVD's through the ps3 (something you can't do through component).- ElAssoWipo, on 05/18/2008, -0/+6I have two HD bravias all hooked up by HDMI. It's not the equipment. Games like TigerWoods '08 look great, others like GTA4 are just dark.
- jgtg32a, on 05/18/2008, -1/+4Everything you said is just wrong
- grumbel, on 05/18/2008, -15/+2"Very nice"? More like crap. The graphics are nothing special by last-gens standard, gameplay didn't seem to have any special use of Wiimote and the dialog was utter rubbish, so there is little hope for a decent story. I really can't see anything good about this shooter other then that it is on the Wii.
- Syphon8, on 05/18/2008, -0/+9They look decent by this gen standards.
- jgtg32a, on 05/18/2008, -4/+1Thats because they've been lazy and have been putting out games that look like *****. Halo 3
- grumbel, on 05/18/2008, -3/+1Maybe if you are blind...
- 77boy84, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1So...
Why didn't you watch the trailer? - murphygr, on 05/18/2008, -0/+2no special use of the wiimote? you can't even see how the controls are used, its a trailer. and anyway, there's the section where it seems the cursor of the wiimote is used to redirect some sort of rocket-like projectile
- nard3456, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1Is it just me or do I smell a fanboy?
- Syphon8, on 05/18/2008, -0/+9They look decent by this gen standards.
- JettaMan, on 05/18/2008, -4/+11I'm in love with my Xbox 360 but I have to admit that looks pretty good. I didn't know the Wii had that capability. If the Conduit gets good reviews this might just push me into getting a Wii.
- Disease, on 05/18/2008, -1/+19It has the capability, the problem is developers don't takes it seriously enough.
- JettaMan, on 05/18/2008, -20/+1Uh, yeah, and you dug me down because... ?
- dbsmoker, on 05/21/2008, -0/+2It may look decent in a streaming web video, but I doubt it will look anywhere near as good as a 360 game on an HDTV. Also, the Wii controls take a LOT of getting used to. I gave up on Metroid for Wii because I couldn't get used to the controls... and the graphics hurt my eyes on my HDTV.
- Disease, on 05/18/2008, -1/+19It has the capability, the problem is developers don't takes it seriously enough.
- scotticus, on 05/18/2008, -0/+4Looks very half-life 1 to me. Granted, HL1 with the wii thing might be fun.
- ElAssoWipo, on 05/18/2008, -1/+14Anyone out there know why they make the games so dark now?
- richman241, on 05/18/2008, -8/+74It looks like a Metroid/James Bond mix. Looks very promising, but do you use the Wii Zapper?
- Borgcube, on 05/18/2008, -3/+42Wii Zapper is basically just a piece of plastic so.. Yea, I guess you could use it
- crossmr, on 05/18/2008, -0/+11Not if there were any gameplay elements that involved you moving the nunchuk independent of the wiimote.
- Lunarbunny, on 05/18/2008, -0/+5"Why are you shaking the butt of your gun?"
- bro2baseball, on 05/18/2008, -0/+0you can't use the wii zapper for everything depending on which buttons you need, for example resident evil 4
- crossmr, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1While that might work dependent on what the movement does (for example, reload) if the action it performed was something dependent on where the cross-hairs were sitting (say some kind of rapid fire, etc) it might become an issue when you can't target and shake while you have the controls locked in to the zapper..
the wii-zapper is a good idea. More shooters should make use of it, but they have to be deisgned for it, and you can't really make any kind of guess that the wii-zapper is appropriate without seeing the control scheme.
- crossmr, on 05/18/2008, -0/+11Not if there were any gameplay elements that involved you moving the nunchuk independent of the wiimote.
- JoeCool1986, on 05/19/2008, -0/+2Or perhaps half-life 2 mixed with perfect dark (and graphics from the latter)
- cawpin, on 05/19/2008, -1/+1I was thinking it looked like Quake mixed with the original Doom. It looks like it will be a fun one.
- Borgcube, on 05/18/2008, -3/+42Wii Zapper is basically just a piece of plastic so.. Yea, I guess you could use it
- Grimace421, on 05/18/2008, -9/+151IT'S DUKE NUKEM 3D!!!
- norbiu, on 05/18/2008, -0/+12SHAKE IT BABY!
- Kingmichael, on 05/18/2008, -2/+21I'm gonna rip your head off and ***** down your neeeeeck.
- RumaruDrathas, on 05/18/2008, -3/+12Kicking ass and chewing bubblegum, but I'm all out of gum.
- Jesusridesabike, on 05/18/2008, -3/+20I've got BALLS of STEEL.
- Andyschism, on 05/18/2008, -0/+8BALL BALL BALLS OF STEEL.
- tommy0486, on 05/18/2008, -0/+2Hail to the king, baby
- Jesusridesabike, on 05/18/2008, -0/+3BLOW IT OUT YOUR ASS.
- aenima987, on 05/18/2008, -1/+7dude, that's nothing next to Duke Nukem
Duke Nukem is way more badass - Coolmatt49, on 05/18/2008, -1/+6I'm looking for some alien toilet to park my bricks. Who's first?
- nizzy1115, on 05/18/2008, -8/+91It doesnt look half bad graphically for the wii. I was expecting much worse but it proved me wrong. That little box isnt that bad after all!
- StandardsDT, on 05/18/2008, -1/+5Indeed you are correct on what you said. The Wii has more power in it then everyone thinks. Check out another video on the Quantum3 Technology that they are using for The Conduit below to see what I'm talking about.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=8aW9BpamQSA- opnickc, on 05/19/2008, -0/+2Actually, I thought the game trailer looked better than the tech demo, but still cool.
Honestly, when I saw the trailer for the first time, I thought it was a PS3 game. No joke. Had to do a double take when the article said it was for wii.
Now, my question is, why can this little no-name outfit pull this off while the big names are still releasing such garbage? Lazy bastards.- soupdawg30, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1If they would have had more games like this back in October I may not have sold my Wii for a PS3.
- opnickc, on 05/19/2008, -0/+2Actually, I thought the game trailer looked better than the tech demo, but still cool.
- dbsmoker, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1Until you see it running on an HDTV... =P
- StandardsDT, on 05/18/2008, -1/+5Indeed you are correct on what you said. The Wii has more power in it then everyone thinks. Check out another video on the Quantum3 Technology that they are using for The Conduit below to see what I'm talking about.
- ursername180, on 05/18/2008, -15/+88THAT'S for the Wii?
- carpespasm, on 05/18/2008, -0/+53Yep. Once developers realize that with several million consoles out there there must be more than a few people who don't want another brain age, wii sports, nintendogs, or quiz show game with worse graphics than a flash game maybe they'll realize the wii isn't devoid of graphical power, it just doesn't render in HD.
- H1tchh1k3r, on 05/18/2008, -1/+5Don't forget Hamsterz.
- Sanctums, on 05/18/2008, -7/+2The biggest problem with the Wii, is that its selling consols, but not third party games.
- opnickc, on 05/19/2008, -0/+5It's not selling 3rd party games because most of them suck.
You average consumer ('hardcore' gamer or otherwise) doesn't know or care who makes a game, they just want to know a) is it good? and b) does it work on the system I own?
- opnickc, on 05/19/2008, -0/+5It's not selling 3rd party games because most of them suck.
- fuzzynyanko, on 05/18/2008, -0/+3Plus the other type of game that's good on the Wii usually involves extreme gore. Thank goodness that there's something good that's inbetween Mario Galaxy and No More Heroes .
- ChristianMagic, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "good on the Wii". All I know is that No More Heroes didn't do well enough w/ sales of the Wii.
- dhVyse, on 05/18/2008, -13/+8Yeah, if the graphics look slightly better then a PS2 game it must be the Wii.
- ritzcracker, on 05/18/2008, -10/+5I thought they stopped developing for game cube last year.
- AshamedAmerican, on 05/18/2008, -2/+35Is that Hellboy in the thumbnail?
- xxNIRVANAxx, on 05/18/2008, -1/+4yes: http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.joystiq.com/medi ...
- cw1242, on 05/18/2008, -19/+2Looks like the guns only hold 3 bullets; so much reloading.
- JoeB4ever, on 05/18/2008, -7/+271They should just bring back goldeneye
- rmzy717, on 05/18/2008, -9/+1Pretty sure Rare had plans to make Goldeneye available through both Virtual Console and XBox Live Arcade. But Nintendo stepped in and asked them not to let Microsoft have "their' game, and now no one gets it.
At least, that's what I've heard at least twice.- tange1, on 05/18/2008, -0/+3Rare is owned by microsoft now. Nintendo has no control over the game that they dont own anymore. Microsoft would never let Rare release the game on both systems. Dugg down.
- Jesusridesabike, on 05/18/2008, -4/+1Dugg for great justice.
- ahoyhoy, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1Wanna know what really happened? Activision was going to help port Goldeneye over to Xbox Live with enhanced visuals (as they own the Bond license now). Nintendo stepped up and told Activision, "If you release Goldeneye on Live, we aren't going to let you publish any more Wii games." This was enough of a threat to cause Activision to back down.
- XBSHX, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1lol All you crazy people and your made up rumors. For them to get it on any console it needs to be ok'd by Rare/Microsoft, whoever owns the license, and Nintendo. Which is never going to happen because of both Microsoft and Nintendo.
- tange1, on 05/18/2008, -0/+3Rare is owned by microsoft now. Nintendo has no control over the game that they dont own anymore. Microsoft would never let Rare release the game on both systems. Dugg down.
- drewsheldon01, on 05/18/2008, -1/+6Or barby horse adventures
- iSamurai, on 05/18/2008, -4/+9http://www.goldeneyesource.com/ (HL2 Mod)
http://goldeneye00heaven.com/ (Crysis Mod) - counterplex, on 05/18/2008, -4/+1I was never really a goldeneye fan but that's possibly because the first time I saw it was after I'd already played my fair share of FPS on the PC. I ended up playing a little with family but never really thought much of it even after that.
- Chupacabra82, on 05/18/2008, -4/+7Have you replayed Goldeneye? That game did not age well IMO.
- br0wnstar, on 05/18/2008, -1/+2I disagree.
- nitesoulja, on 05/18/2008, -4/+5sigh just buy an n64 it will be cheaper and same as the wii... if not better
- Varz, on 05/18/2008, -2/+1Tell Iwata (Nintendo President of Japan) that......
Since it's his fault it was canceled, there would have been a XBL and Wii version otherwise.- zeebo, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1Its easy to understand why he made them stop it, they were going to release an improved version of the game optimized for xbox live for microsoft, and all Nintendo was going to get was the rom for the vc store, and because of the pricing structure nintendo has imposed the rom was going to cost more than what microsoft was going to let the improved version be sold for. It sucks, but if Nintendo hadn't stopped it they probably would have had more shareholders pissed off.
- rmzy717, on 05/18/2008, -9/+1Pretty sure Rare had plans to make Goldeneye available through both Virtual Console and XBox Live Arcade. But Nintendo stepped in and asked them not to let Microsoft have "their' game, and now no one gets it.
- an0nim0us, on 05/18/2008, -18/+4As a shooter, it really doesn't look that fun. It might have a good story line, but it the gameplay seems rather dull. It reminds me of Goldeneye: Rogue Agent for the gamecube, and that game was really, really boring.
- dillibob, on 05/18/2008, -0/+5id say just the opposite. the story looks kinda boring but the gameplay looks like duke nukem forever from the 2001 trailer
- Spartanious, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1I totally agree. It looks like another cookiecutter fps, nothing new. The only interesting thing about it is the Wii control aspect.
- ndnspongebob, on 05/18/2008, -6/+29The game looks promising but any talk of gameplay footage on the wii without showing exactly how the character is controled is futile.
From the footage shown here, the gameplay could be awesome or the most annoying thing in the world.- Borgcube, on 05/18/2008, -2/+11While that is true, the whole point of the trailer was to show that the graphics on the Wii can be very good, of course not as good as PS3/360, but better than most of the crap on it.
- Jibberwalk, on 05/18/2008, -0/+6To me, it looks like it behaves control-wise much like Metroid did... and that wasn't all that shabby.
- soulpiercer7, on 05/18/2008, -2/+3the FPS control scheme for the Wii is perfect. it worked in Red Steel and it worked in Metroid Prime
- dbsmoker, on 05/21/2008, -0/+1It seems like when the guy's about to turn a corner they cut to a different clip. Makes me wonder if turning corners is annoying.
- mikk1est, on 05/18/2008, -34/+4Little relief for little boys who didn't get the XBOX360/PS3, because family-friendly Santa brought Wii instead.
- nard3456, on 05/18/2008, -2/+1fanboy
- Dumbledorito, on 05/18/2008, -22/+4So far, any attempt to use the Wiimote as a control device for stuff like this has barely been adequate. In other words, they had better either have some kind of auto-lock or a darn innovative take on player input for this to work well.
- NinjaNato, on 05/18/2008, -8/+35The wiimote+nunchuk combo beats the pants of a couple of analog sticks any day. Still, keyboard+mouse is always going to take the cake.
- Dumbledorito, on 05/18/2008, -4/+1I disagree about the wiimote/nunchuck. I find that the aiming of the wiimote to be very innacurate and prone to behave as if I'd swung it wildly (yes, I've calibrated it several times). Perhaps the biggest problem is a lack of a "zero" position, as if, on a joystick, you had let go and allowed it to re-center.
- badassninja, on 05/18/2008, -1/+17I agree with NinjaNato. I have played a few games with pin point control. And seeing that I am just point at the screen it feels pretty darn rewarding. analog sticks suck my balls, always have. But mouse and key board will always pwn all.
- Borgcube, on 05/18/2008, -0/+11Err.. Corruption? Controls are past Red Steel at this point.
- KingBabi, on 05/18/2008, -0/+2*****, I accidentally reported you. I apologize. (Not sarcasm, I'm just not used to the new comments yet).
- Dumbledorito, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1That would explain the two Asian gentlemen with the Mario tattoos that just cut the thumb-stick off of my nunchuck.
- NinjaNato, on 05/18/2008, -8/+35The wiimote+nunchuk combo beats the pants of a couple of analog sticks any day. Still, keyboard+mouse is always going to take the cake.
- Crimsonsoul343, on 05/18/2008, -34/+218Looks like a really bad Half-life
- Mikhail101, on 05/18/2008, -8/+14meh the graphics look better than HL 1 though
- Ganja420, on 05/18/2008, -1/+6Yea if you run HL 1 640x480 in software mode
- saleem, on 05/18/2008, -4/+3HL 1 was released 10 years ago... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half-Life_(video_game ...
- spect3r, on 05/18/2008, -0/+4Actually, I thought it kind of looked a little like Poke646.... one of the best half-life mods out there...
http://www.poke646.com/ - moush, on 05/18/2008, -0/+2Except Half-Life is old as hell and this looks more like Perfect Dark than Half-Life.
- Mikhail101, on 05/18/2008, -8/+14meh the graphics look better than HL 1 though
- BabyHulk, on 05/18/2008, -43/+214am i alone in thinking this looks like another lame shooter with 1990's graphics? i doubt i am.
- spammishking, on 05/18/2008, -17/+4Yea, this looks lame even for the PS2. And due to no mention of the story, there really isn't any reason to be excited about it.
- ZimFreak, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1I agree completely. I don't understand the huge hype with this game...
- RumaruDrathas, on 05/18/2008, -7/+25What's wrong with a 90's shooter? Blood, Duke Nukem, Redneck Rampage, Hexen & Heretic, Quake, and Doom 1&2 were kick ass games.
- Mikhail101, on 05/18/2008, -4/+21"were" is the key word there
- xNIBx, on 05/18/2008, -4/+3Gameplay has greatly evolved since then. Today's fps need to have more depth.
- YellowSnowDemon, on 05/18/2008, -2/+20No they don't. Look at Halo 3. FPS have de-evolved since the Quake and Unreal Tournament days.
- brettmurf, on 05/18/2008, -0/+2You Included Doom 1&2, but Quake 2 and 3 were also in the 90's for their releases. The FPS games of the 90's were and still are amazing. They had fun game play, and quake 3 still doesn't look too bad.
- xNIBx, on 05/18/2008, -3/+5Halo 3 is for consoles and consoles by definition have inferior fps. But even halo 3 is better than 90s fps. It has a story, it has vehicles, it has better maps, it has better more varied missions, open terrain, etc.
- mrgreen4242, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1Seems to me that FPS have gotten slower since the 90's. It's like they've improved the graphics and then slowed the gameplay way down so you can "enjoy" all the new detail. To me, Q2 and 3, UT, and the other older faster playing games are way more fun than the new games where it feels like you are crawling everywhere.
- Quicksilver4648, on 05/18/2008, -2/+3What's wrong is that those games release in the N64 era. Two console generations later and the graphics looks slightly more polished?
- Lunarbunny, on 05/18/2008, -1/+3More like 1.5 generations later, the Wii hardware is pretty much a souped up Gamecube. Not that I mind though, I have one.
- ChristianMagic, on 05/18/2008, -0/+3Seriously though, do you honestly see that small of a difference between pre-N64 era graphics and the graphics of this video?
- OUChevelleSS, on 05/18/2008, -5/+17Actually, the graphics remind me a little of HL2. And we all know the game isn't polished yet.
- phyx726, on 05/18/2008, -6/+29Shooters from the 90's are better than the ones now.
- sleeknerve, on 05/18/2008, -2/+4Call of Duty, Gears of War, Half Life 2, the only reason that these shooters get a bad reputation is that they are under more scrutiny than the shooters 15 years ago
- moush, on 05/18/2008, -1/+2And the fact that they're all worse than the games they copied. Usually developers should make improvements instead of just upping the graphics.
- sleeknerve, on 05/18/2008, -2/+4Call of Duty, Gears of War, Half Life 2, the only reason that these shooters get a bad reputation is that they are under more scrutiny than the shooters 15 years ago
- chillypacman, on 05/19/2008, -0/+4The golden age of shooters... would be utterly fantastic.
The graphics don't look bad, fairly solid for the wii in fact and it certainly isn't 1990s, GoldenEye was 1990s. - jimmick, on 05/19/2008, -0/+2That's why I want it
- spammishking, on 05/18/2008, -17/+4Yea, this looks lame even for the PS2. And due to no mention of the story, there really isn't any reason to be excited about it.
- DaDrake, on 05/18/2008, -36/+29I have a wii and a 360 (plus my roomate has a PS3)..... honestly... I really wish I didn't buy the wii. Overall, only 2-3 games I really care to buy and the lack of online content really sucks in my view.
- crossmr, on 05/18/2008, -4/+8Lately I've found a lot to buy:
SSMB, Mario Kart, Deca Sports, We Ski, My life as a king. I'll pick up Wii fit next week.It all depends on what you're in to. - mortey, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1In this reply I will publicize useless information about my purchasing habits. Also, I will interject my personal thoughts about lack of content for the aforementioned purchases.
- crossmr, on 05/18/2008, -4/+8Lately I've found a lot to buy:
- Darren07, on 05/18/2008, -8/+115The Wii disparately needs a decent FPS
- austin006, on 05/18/2008, -27/+21the wii desperately needs a decent game in EVERY genre.
- trunk8, on 05/18/2008, -5/+45It has one, it's called Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and it's excellent. Another wouldn't hurt, though.
- DarkLaughingMan, on 05/18/2008, -0/+4I guess. I'd say MP3 is more of a FPA then FPS. It did have really good FPS controls utilizing the Wiimote Now Call of Duty 2: Heroes (or whatever it's called again). That's a good FPS game that builds upon what MP3 did with the controls.
- diggn_it, on 05/18/2008, -7/+2Actually, M3 is total crap, but thanks for trying. Apart from the sub-par graphics and non existent physics, the wii is too weak to render large environments. That means that when you try to open a door in the middle of a fight to bottleneck your enemies, the door won't open until they next room loads, and this can take up to 4 seconds. Yeah, that's a long time when your getting shot to pieces. People who say it should be about gameplay not graphics need to shut up when a lack of power can effect both.
- Varz, on 05/18/2008, -0/+2Yeah that problem was incredibly annoying.
- chillypacman, on 05/19/2008, -0/+3Kinda reminds of the elevators in Mass Effect.
- dallen, on 05/18/2008, -0/+17Metroid Prime is decent. What the Wii needs desperately, imo, is RPGs.
- Darren07, on 05/18/2008, -3/+3Agree, MP3 is decent, pretty good in fact. But that's about it.
- MetaMars, on 05/18/2008, -1/+3Tales of Symphonia sequel?
- cm32438, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1I haven't played it yet, but, does anyone know if the Final Fantasy CC Wii Ware game is any good?
- mrgreen4242, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1Haven't played it, but it's not an RPG. It's a Sim/strategy game.
- chaosblade77, on 05/23/2008, -0/+0I completely agree, primarily because RPGs are better than shooters any day
/opinion
- g00dbye, on 05/18/2008, -3/+8Medal of Honor: Heroes 2.
- FighterX, on 05/31/2008, -0/+1You mean the Wii desperately needs a decent FPS with stable online play. This is a very important aspect for the replay value of the console. For example, I've stopped playing brawl for a while because it lacks online play. I can only gather friends maybe once a week due to excessive school work.
Added variety to the deathmatch would also keep gamers busy. For example: 1v1, 2v2, 4v4, co-op, capping flags, and etc.
- austin006, on 05/18/2008, -27/+21the wii desperately needs a decent game in EVERY genre.
- MaxMWood, on 05/18/2008, -11/+4Quite impressive for the Wii I expected a cross between Wii Tennis and Guns..
- fr3ddie, on 05/18/2008, -16/+4looks like halo to me
- austin006, on 05/18/2008, -3/+4looks like [every other sci-fi FPS in the past 5+ years] to me
- FuckThaMeme, on 05/18/2008, -25/+7Looks like a PS2 game.
OH WAIT!!!- Borgcube, on 05/18/2008, -3/+3? The point? This isn't a port, if that's what you're trying to say.
- FuckThaMeme, on 05/18/2008, -10/+4I'm saying that it looks visually crap.
- Borgcube, on 05/18/2008, -3/+3? The point? This isn't a port, if that's what you're trying to say.
- timmyallen, on 05/18/2008, -46/+10looks like call of duty 4 with gears of war or halo3 in some crappy nintendo engine if you ask me, but i don't own a wii.
- wfofbass, on 05/18/2008, -3/+8wow you obviously know NOTHING about FPS because it looks nothing like call of duty or gears(which isn't even a FPS). you can't just name off the only 3 shooters you know.
it does look exactly like perfect dark on the 64, it even had one of the same guns. - TheSlinky, on 05/18/2008, -7/+14Typical console fanboy, only FPS's you know are halo, call of duty 4 and gears of war.
- joshzweig, on 05/19/2008, -1/+4It's funny how you call him a fanboy, you don't even know that Gears of War isn't an FPS.
- TheSlinky, on 05/19/2008, -1/+0Yeah I didn't realise that mistake haha...thanks for pointing it out. But yeah, you guys know what I mean.
- timmyallen, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1i apologies for not copy and pasting all FPS from the list wikipedia has, i was making a example, please, do forgive me for my opinion.
- joshzweig, on 05/19/2008, -1/+4It's funny how you call him a fanboy, you don't even know that Gears of War isn't an FPS.
- pigducksheep, on 05/18/2008, -1/+3if you don't own a wii then you shouldn't be talking.
- timmyallen, on 07/08/2008, -0/+1if you own a wii you should be attending to your children
- wfofbass, on 05/18/2008, -3/+8wow you obviously know NOTHING about FPS because it looks nothing like call of duty or gears(which isn't even a FPS). you can't just name off the only 3 shooters you know.
- Trat, on 05/18/2008, -30/+4Ah, nice game for people who are stil on a SDTV... Next (LMAO)!
- BoonTobias, on 05/18/2008, -0/+6i'm playing cod and gta on a sdtv and it's still great, noob
- Startemus, on 05/18/2008, -19/+10So not impressed. How much longer til the real Zelda Wii?
- Jesusridesabike, on 05/18/2008, -0/+3Eh? Care to elaborate?
- carleethian, on 05/18/2008, -2/+5Twilight Princess was built on Gamecube engine, then ported to Wii with motion controls.
There is yet to be much news concerning the Zelda game made for the Wii.
- had3l, on 05/18/2008, -12/+7Weird that they would go through all the trouble of developing a game without a publisher. If no one picks it up, all the work was for nothing.
- ADHD, on 05/18/2008, -0/+13Someone will pick it up, they would be stupid not to. So far the game has gotten hype (seeing as how there is a very hardcore gamer crowd on dig they really dont represent the majority.) and overall has the best chance to sell the most copies seeing as how ***** one has a wii in japan and america (its the head console in both countries). Its also flashy, for the wii those graphics are great, and I heard its following the control scheme of metriod and medal of honor (if you hav'nt picked up the wii version of that your in for a treat, better control than any console fps)
it will get picked up by either ubisoft or ea

- mmarre, on 05/18/2008, -19/+6I bet It's going to suck a fat D like every other Wii game.
- Borgcube, on 05/18/2008, -3/+1Trolls usually get their own bridges under which they live.
- copypasta, on 05/20/2008, -0/+0Borgcube you're a scilon *****. Go ***** die.
- chaosblade77, on 05/23/2008, -0/+0I agree with the fact it's probably going to suck (there are some good Wii games out there but I'm not going to argue there). The reason I say it's going to suck is it looks fairly generic and the developer is known for let downs, not because of the console it's on.
As long as the controls work well (ala Metroid Prime 3 or Medal of Honor Heroes 2) it would probably be better on the Wii as long as people aren't going to dismiss a game just because it's not 720p.
- Borgcube, on 05/18/2008, -3/+1Trolls usually get their own bridges under which they live.
- Ninjao, on 05/18/2008, -5/+10This is going to be fun. Especially on the Wii. I dont own the console but my brother does and this looks like something ide play with him.
- benjorino, on 05/18/2008, -0/+4ide? :/
- Warhammer, on 05/18/2008, -11/+2I'm extremely impressed. I watched the video and thought that it could not possibly be a Wii game because of all the shovelware kidde-junk that I have been exposed to on this system. Another impression is that the typical Wii owner would never be interested in this, but it will appeal to the small hardcore base it has. And of course the first question I will get from customers is, "Can you use the Wii Fit board to move your guy around?"
- willskillz, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1Don't you use that gun they sell w/ the game, hold on I'll show u... this http://www.amazon.com/Wii-Zapper-Links-Crossbow-Tr ... ?
- RumaruDrathas, on 05/18/2008, -2/+2It's the Wii syndrome; large user base, very small hardcore base.
What's the statistics? Half of the Wii owners would only buy 1.5 games A YEAR?!?! Compare that to the other console, being 4.5 games a year being a conservative average (not counting digital downloads).- EtherGnat, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1The Wii's attach rate is actually only slightly worse than the PS3.
- Danners, on 05/18/2008, -2/+72"Deathmatch has been authorised - It's about time"
Subtle hint that this game will include online deathmatch?- MasterPain, on 05/18/2008, -17/+10From what have seen from Wii's online so far who cares.
- ParaSwarm, on 05/18/2008, -1/+11You must not have seen Mario Kart Wii yet.
- MichaeIScott, on 05/18/2008, -3/+1Well i know that most of time four people in SSBB is so laggy its unplayable.
- chaosblade77, on 05/23/2008, -0/+0Mario Kart Wii is easily the best of Wii online at this point. Connects 12 people far faster than Brawl can connect 4, and it doesn't have the lag issues. There's also a lot more gameplay options online, as well as a leaderboard. Brawl online just sucked.
- ParaSwarm, on 05/18/2008, -1/+11You must not have seen Mario Kart Wii yet.
- RumaruDrathas, on 05/18/2008, -2/+9I'll be more impressed if they get the online thing working...
- YellowSnowDemon, on 05/18/2008, -3/+31God, you fanboys are so ***** annoying. Wii can do online just fine. Just no voice chat. Have you played MoH:H2? No friend codes, 32 player online, and better controles than anything on the Xbox 360.
Buy two consoles, we won't make fun of you, I swear.- joey368, on 05/18/2008, -2/+2Voice chat is a distraction for me. So it won't matter. And Ford says "About damn time.", not "It's about time.".
- suriyou, on 05/18/2008, -2/+3I have all three, and I've had nothing but problems with the Wii online, but I only have Brawl right now.
That's just my experience, though. =| - Armagetto, on 05/18/2008, -1/+3I have an 8 year old who wants to play TF2 on my PC, but I don't feel comfortable with that because there's always some ass with a pottymouth screaming the N-word every 10 seconds on voicechat. For that reason, I can understand why Nintendo crippled their online in order to assure the "playing experience...[does not]...change during online play."
I keep hearing that the MOH multiplayer for the Wii is awesome. I've gotta try it now...- aydoubleyou, on 05/18/2008, -0/+4You can just mute the voicechat, in the options turn the volume all the way down. The kid will have no idea there even is voicechat.
And yes... SSBB online play is laggy, I dont know why. But Mario Kart Wii on-line play is flawless.
- aydoubleyou, on 05/18/2008, -0/+4You can just mute the voicechat, in the options turn the volume all the way down. The kid will have no idea there even is voicechat.
- BedPost, on 05/18/2008, -0/+6You're missing the point. Why the hell would I want to play Medal of Honor?
- YellowSnowDemon, on 05/19/2008, -1/+1Medal of Honor isn't a good game, but it has flawless controls, and lagless 32 online multiplayer with no friend codes. You're saying a good game + 32 player lagless online = *****, just because there's no voice chat?
- BedPost, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1No, I'm saying it's a bad game because it's a bad game. I didn't mention voice chat at all. Even if you made a game with 64 players and little lag, if it's not fun, then why the hell would I play it?
- EvilHeadBoy, on 05/18/2008, -1/+5Nintendo has great online, except it's in segments; you take the great online from mario kart wii, and couple it with adding friends and voice chat from metroid hunters, and voila, no more people complaining about wifi
- diggn_it, on 05/18/2008, -5/+3Yeah. the wii is ***** at online, as proven by the fact that you can only reference one or two games tops that have even half decent multiplayer. Point me to a good online wii-shooter. Oh you can't? Well, I bet smash brothers is fun online. Wait, your telling me you can't edit rules for online games and there is no way of talking to your friends? Weird. Well, i guess that's ok because I'm sure all the great multi-player games like Unreal, Call of Duty, HL, TF, GTA and such will make it to the wii. Wait, they won't? Wow.
wii sucks at multi-player. It's time to just except that.- moush, on 05/18/2008, -1/+3You just said GTA was a great multi-player game, quit while you're ahead.
- mrgreen4242, on 05/19/2008, -1/+3EVERYONE has mentioned MoH 2:Heroes as an example of good Wii online play. 32 players. No friend codes. Works perfectly. There's your shooter. Kart is the best online racing I've tried. Nintendo is very late to the online play world, I'll happily admit, but they're starting to get it and catch up.
- Varz, on 05/18/2008, -1/+2Too bad the online component was removed from the Australian version of the game, thanks EA.
- RumaruDrathas, on 05/18/2008, -1/+1Having tried desperately to play online with Smash Bros. Brawl, I do understand that Nintendo's online offering can still be considered "in it's infancy", but with such a successful track record, such as Metroid Prime Hunters and Mario Kart DS, it still boogles the mind why Brawl's online offering is soo.... "broken".
I haven't tried to play Brawl online in the recent weeks (due to the fortunate facts that I do have real world friends that I play with), but if you're going to bring a product were a huge focus was placed on Online functionality, one would expect something better than what I experience with Brawl. If Nintendo did indeed fix what was essentially a broken online experience, then I'll be more than happy to play Online again, but before that is proven to me, I'll stick to Xbox Live
Long live Nintendo and all that fanboyishness that the term entails, I just hope that if this game would actually ship with online multiplayer, that it would in the very least be playable the MAJORITY of the time, especially during "peak hours" - moush, on 05/18/2008, -1/+1Actually, the Brawl online is horrendous, I can't join a game without lag.
- MasterPain, on 05/19/2008, -0/+0You sound like more of a fan boy than any one else here.
- MasterPain, on 05/18/2008, -17/+10From what have seen from Wii's online so far who cares.
- shdwfthsun, on 05/18/2008, -23/+16I own a Wii but I'm not buying a single game for it the rest of the year. Why should I care about a game that only looks like a passable shooter when I have Ninja Gaiden 2, Soul Calibur IV, Too Human, The Force Unleashed, Fable 2, Gears of War 2, and the new Prince of Persia to play on my Xbox 360 (assuming I could afford them all)?
- Ninjao, on 05/18/2008, -2/+11Testicles. That is all.
- Borgcube, on 05/18/2008, -2/+2This is a great point. The thing is, there are far too many games, good games!, on the market to play them all, even if you own PS3/Wii/360 and a hell of a PC rig so sticking to one console is a reasonable move. With that said, there are also a number of good games for the Wii, but that isn't really important here.
- Jhiaxuz, on 05/18/2008, -4/+12So what gives you the impression that this game is destined to be mediocre? Oh wait, I forgot that the new generation of gamers see graphics over game play. Sorry.
- jgtg32a, on 05/18/2008, -1/+5What impressed you about the game play?
- YellowSnowDemon, on 05/18/2008, -0/+6If you have actually played an FPS with the wii mote, you'd realize that it's unbelievably fun.
And to have one that is actually good is a big plus. - 77boy84, on 05/18/2008, -1/+3What are gameplay are you judging?
For *****'s sake, this three minutes of the game.
Did Nintendo kill your dog or something? - grumbel, on 05/18/2008, -2/+41) Graphics are horrible
2) Dialog is crap
3) Gameplay looks totally average
What exactly makes you thing this isn't garbage? - culbeda, on 05/18/2008, -1/+2"1) Graphics are horrible
2) Dialog is crap
3) Gameplay looks totally average"
The dialog IS crap and the demo didn't look too inspiring or original. But until you have played an FPS using a wiimote, you simply won't understand the appeal. Once you've tried tried FPSing on the Wii, you'll never want to go back to your pathetic only-analog-sticks controls again. (Imagine be able to shoot things in the air or below you while you're strafing.) - grumbel, on 05/18/2008, -1/+1I have played through all of Metroid Prime 3 and still have exactly zero problem with dual-analog, in fact I still prefer it, since even there the Wiimote doesn't really work all that great and I doubt it ever will.
With the Wiimote you are simply stuck with an impossible to fix issue, either you make the screen area that is used for aiming small, then you have fast movement, but make it near impossible to precisely shoot at anything (this is why Metroid3 has lock-on). Or you make it large, then you have annoyingly slow movement and good aiming. The only way I see how this could be fixed is if they leave turning to the analogstick und use the Wiimote for aiming alone.
- Jhiaxuz, on 05/18/2008, -4/+12So what gives you the impression that this game is destined to be mediocre? Oh wait, I forgot that the new generation of gamers see graphics over game play. Sorry.
- mugicha, on 05/18/2008, -1/+5Because of the wiimote. I just bought a 360 (GTA ***** rules) but trying to play an FPS with a console controller just doesn't compare to mouse and keyboard. If I could play a good FPS with the wiimote (sorry, Metroid didn't really do it for me) I'd buy it in a second.
- moush, on 05/18/2008, -2/+1All those games you listed are horrible.
- mugicha, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1Your comment defies logic.
- shdwfthsun, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1It appears that liking the Xbox 360's future catalog of games has made me a minority... Forgive me for not believing this game has potential based on seeing one very average trailer, Digg. To moush, you have no idea what you're talking about because I've played the originals to all the sequels I've mentioned and they rule.
- Supernova36, on 05/18/2008, -1/+13Please don't turn out to be another stinker!
- carpespasm, on 05/18/2008, -0/+5If the story mode is deep and good, this could be a nice game. Looks like it makes use of some interesting weapons. Wish they'd had more about the general story and what'll be making this different from another aliens invade, shoot-em-all game, but the graphics look pretty nice. Doesn't look good enough to sell on graphics alone, but it's definitely good looking enough to allow a good story to make it a very good game. I'll be keeping an eye out.
- kriminalintent, on 05/18/2008, -1/+10Hellboy 2 image why?
- Linh, on 05/18/2008, -2/+12argh, no publisher yet?!?! We're not going to see this are we
- mrgreen4242, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1Naw, the game is clearly mature enough to attract a publisher. It won't cost them much and it has the potential to have virtual no competition on the Wii so it's a decent investment. If their engine is half as good as they're hyping it up to be, and the demos are looking promising, they could afford to self publish it by just licensing out the engine to studios who want to do a cheap port of an existing FPS to the Wii... they have all the art assets, audio effects, and models, the level design is done, they just need an engine to make it all work on the Wii and this coulb be it.
- 1807, on 05/18/2008, -10/+4If this is the only rebutle that the Wii has to the LIST of amazing games coming out for 360 and PS3....I see them going down the proverbial toilet WITHOUT toilet paper.
- ADHD, on 05/18/2008, -0/+3The Force Unleashed for the wii looks good too but no ones talking about that :(
- MichaeIScott, on 05/18/2008, -0/+0but isnt that multi platform?
- 1807, on 05/18/2008, -0/+2being an owner of both a WII and a 360, I am still only going to get this game on the 360. I was not impressed at all by the preview for force unleashed on the Wii. Everyone who thinks that game is going to be the light saber duel they've been waiting for, is going to be sadly mistaken.
- ADHD, on 05/18/2008, -0/+3The Force Unleashed for the wii looks good too but no ones talking about that :(
- Hydrohs, on 05/18/2008, -7/+7I don't even like FPS games, and it makes me want to play it O_o
- tkhooker, on 05/18/2008, -5/+16A publisher needs to jump on this one NOW!
It's no Halo-killer or anything but it looks damn good.- fuzzynyanko, on 05/18/2008, -0/+5I agree. The graphics are a cut above a lot of other Wii games. Nintendo should publish this game.
- xTheHawkx, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1Oh God, we all know what happened with the other 'halo-killer'...*cough*Killzone*cough*
- TheBlackLotus, on 05/18/2008, -1/+8I love how you can aim, but keep facing the same direction.. You can aim where you can see, and see where you aim.
- noerrorsfound, on 05/18/2008, -0/+2This is in a few PC games already, mostly those focused on realism. It's great to see the feature on Wii first-person shooters.
Some PC games with free aim:
Operation Flashpoint
ARMA: Combat Operations
Red Orchestra
Insurgency HL2 Mod
Infiltration mod for Unreal Tournament 1
- noerrorsfound, on 05/18/2008, -0/+2This is in a few PC games already, mostly those focused on realism. It's great to see the feature on Wii first-person shooters.
- thedrizzle21, on 05/18/2008, -4/+31That first gun was absolutely ripped off from the original Half-Life.
- jgtg32a, on 05/18/2008, -12/+4yeah but Half-Life looked better
- TheSlinky, on 05/18/2008, -9/+3Haha yeah this game has absolutely crap graphics
- jgtg32a, on 05/18/2008, -12/+4yeah but Half-Life looked better
- Cimlite, on 05/18/2008, -8/+2Considering this is supposed to be running on an advanced game engine for the Wii... the results are pretty disappointing.
- mrzack, on 05/18/2008, -21/+3Weak. Last week. Nothing new. More FPS violence to brainwash and desensitize the mindless sheeple.
- CannonGod, on 05/18/2008, -2/+12Reminds me a bit of the original HalfLife.
- JointVenture, on 05/18/2008, -6/+6The crosshair is off the target and the bullets still hit.
- centerblack, on 05/18/2008, -1/+2yea, because they're not playing on a PC with a 3000 dpi optical laser mouse.
- lovecss, on 05/18/2008, -0/+5It's Counter-Strike: Source!
- nard3456, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1give them time to work out the bugs
- DarkprinceArmon, on 05/19/2008, -0/+1You really need to pay attention to the trailer again. There is one instance where you see him fire the alien gun at one of the bad things (aliens, inter-dimensional beings?) and the user aims the cursor off the screen and then back at the bad thing. His bullet flies towards where he aiming and hits the enemy. Took me a while to get that when I saw the user fire off what seemed to be a charge blast out of the freaky alien gun.
- username484767, on 05/18/2008, -2/+1gj
- bobjewback, on 05/18/2008, -9/+2looks linear
- mikephimikephi, on 05/18/2008, -17/+6It looks like a ps1 game.
I really hope when it comes time for a successor to the Wii, that Nintendo doesn't offer some cope out 720p console. I understand they want to appeal to a different, more broad market, but they cannot allow themselves to slip any further behind the 8ball when it comes to graphics power.- OUChevelleSS, on 05/18/2008, -0/+8You obviously didn't play the PS1.
- YellowSnowDemon, on 05/18/2008, -0/+7Are you blind or just ***** retarded?
- Loonatickle, on 05/18/2008, -0/+5The actual resolution on most 360 games is considerably less than 720 and upscaled... Neither the 360 nor the PS3 have the processing power to render complex full 1080p on the fly.
- RumaruDrathas, on 05/18/2008, -3/+6Perfect Dark for the N64 wasn't a bad game, and having what looks like a "successor" enter the Nintendo Wii does bring a bit of hope up for a Wii owner such as myself. It's not an U3 based game; it doesn't look as good as the other offerings in either the PS3 or the 360, but then again, what the hell do you guys expect? I'll be impressed if the game gives me a decent amount of eye-candy, coming from a machine that rivals my old laptop 4 years ago...
Anyways, I hope it gets picked up by a publisher and we see a polished product before the year's out. I'll try not to compare it graphically to my copy of CoD4, Halo 3 or Resistance, but I'll be playing those until this one comes out.- YellowSnowDemon, on 05/18/2008, -0/+7Wasn't a bad game? Perfect Dark 64 pwned.
And while this game doesn't look as good, it will definitely control better. - Armagetto, on 05/18/2008, -0/+3It took me awhile to come around as I was a huge Goldeneye fan, but eventually I ended up feeling that PD was the better game. It just had so much more depth and the multiplayer was incredible. If anything, you could say it tried to do too much.

- Awla, on 05/18/2008, -3/+7Looks like it could be promising, but it's going to be pretty tough to shake the whole plague that affects almost every third party Wii game made to date. There's no doubt that the Wii is, by far, the best in (console) controls for first person shooters, but I guess we're just going to have to wait and see.
- MichaeIScott, on 05/18/2008, -8/+0The best on controls for FPS? lol that one made me laugh
- MetaMars, on 05/18/2008, -0/+7Have you played Metroid Prime 3? The game is poetry. I hate playing FPS on the Xbox 360. Joysticks are absolutely terrible for them, in comparison to a high dpi mouse or the wiimote.
- MichaeIScott, on 05/20/2008, -1/+0im surrounded by noobs
- Awla, on 05/28/2008, -0/+0Just stop posting, MichaelScott. You're just embarrassing yourself.
- Terasiel, on 05/18/2008, -0/+3Does it ever hurt to look in the mirror, knowing that you base the qualities of a device by whether or not it's socially empowering to hate it automatically?

- JEWestbrookJR, on 05/18/2008, -11/+3Looks like if Half-Life and Goldeneye had an autistic baby with downs syndrome that no one wants to befriend.
- 3141592653589, on 05/18/2008, -12/+6It doesn't look that fun. The aiming looked like a step backwards from MP3 (as expected), and the graphics left much to be desired (for example, in one scene you'll see two black white walls with a picture on one of them -- I'm assuming because the Wii can't handle much more textures). I'll rent it when it comes out, but it doesn't look like this is going to be a shooter of 'Half-Life', 'Halo', or even 'GoW' fame.
- Zap2, on 05/18/2008, -0/+5how the hell can you tell what the control will play like, with a video of in game action?
- Terasiel, on 05/18/2008, -0/+5Gears of War? You mean that game with the beautiful graphics that lasted about five hours and then becomes a dust magnet?
- DarkprinceArmon, on 05/19/2008, -0/+2If you saw the quantum engine they showed off on IGN back when Matt C. first broke the game, they you will know that what they showed now in this new trailer is only half of what the texturing will be like in the final build. They still don't have a publisher and while they are still waiting for one, they will have a lot of time to polish the game up to its maximum level.
I noticed that the level with the cars seemed more polished than the one in what seemed to be the White House. also you notice the creature walking up the broken building had a lot more texture mapping and effect on him than most of the object they showed. I'm sure they are somewhere in the ball park of 30%-50% done with the game. It already looks awesome as far as animation goes at this point.
- schavira, on 05/18/2008, -7/+44Isn't original FPS an oxymoron?
- Kingmichael, on 05/18/2008, -3/+3Play Deus Ex.
- ChristianMagic, on 05/18/2008, -1/+4No. No it's not.
- Varz, on 05/18/2008, -1/+3Um no, the genre may be the same but that doesn't mean it can't have unique content and gameplay.
For example: Portal.- SpeedSteamBoat, on 05/19/2008, -0/+2Well, considering this game looks like a blatant rip-off of the original Half-Life I'd say that the point is rather moot. I'm not disagreeing with you though. Portal was original and awesome.
- jerrycan, on 05/20/2008, -0/+1I see your point, but I'm not going to judge this game based on a video....yet.
- Jumangi, on 05/18/2008, -16/+9The people saying that the graphics arn't half bad need to actually play a current gen game. The architecture is simple, textures are plain, the lighting is about as basic as you can get with minimal shadowing. It compares to a descent PS2 game...big deal.
This type of game isn't what the Wii is about. Go look at something like Boom Blox. Thats a quality game that was designed for the Wii.- TheSlinky, on 05/18/2008, -11/+2For those of you who think this has decent graphics, go play Crysis and have a look at this again
- xxA7XxaDdiCtxx, on 05/18/2008, -2/+14This is the Wii, not some ***** expensive High end computer. When determining the quality of graphics for a system, please look at the specs first
- nard3456, on 05/18/2008, -0/+5hey ***** this is the wii not alienware
- Terasiel, on 05/18/2008, -0/+3I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you over Zelda and Metroid Prime.
