- espire, on 10/10/2007, -9/+103Now tell me this, sir. Who is "get," and why does he own the number 9.0?
- Shuk, on 10/10/2007, -8/+80And Gamespot gives it a underwhelming 8.5. Apparently, this, as well as LoZ:TP is not worth "Editors Choice". I'm starting to think they have an Anti-Wii bias.
- xerus, on 10/10/2007, -5/+69I think the Gamespot editors are just really bad at Wii games.

Most reviewers seem to be saying it's the best Wii game currently out, by far. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+48DIGG REVIEWS GRAMMAR, GET'S 0.0.
- RyanHCO, on 10/10/2007, -5/+51Bioshock had its plethora of 10.0 moments on the front page, let Metroid Prime: Corruption have its fair share.
- Renton, on 10/10/2007, -3/+38No, they just like giving bad scores to cause controversy and gain traffic to the site.
- otatop, on 10/10/2007, -7/+40Doesn't 1up usually give the ratings, not get them?
- Okitaz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19What's up with that apostrophe in the title?
- khellendros1984, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19And why is 1up reviewing get's 9.0?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15Metroid is for hardcore gamers. There are plenty of Wii titles for non hardcore games.
- AwesomeMonster, on 10/10/2007, -3/+17they don't stand in their video review for wii sports.

Metacritic currently at 9.1 - http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/wii/metroidprime3corruption - Mrstupid7, on 10/10/2007, -4/+15And they're notorious Nintendo haters. I'll let you piece together the puzzle.
- Shuk, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12I thought that two weeks ago, but Nintendo has done probably the most effective form of advertising in the form of that Wii preview as well as releasing Metroid and Super Metroid on VC. This way Wii owners are pumped, not necessarily other random people, which is what really matters.
- Mrstupid7, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Can't wait for the Halo 3 review. They won't be able to hide their bias then.
- Kurisuku, on 10/10/2007, -5/+13Super Paper Mario, Warioware, Trauma Center... Just to name the first 3 'must haves' off the top of my head.
- AeroZeppelin, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11Are you kidding me? MP: 3 is much different from the previous installments. The cinematic/story, voice-acting, controls, reduced backtracking, ship-control, jumping planet-to-planet, hyper-mode, not losing your powers in the beginning, etc. etc.
- sgtpppr, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8That's why EA puts out 3,459 Madden games. Wii's problem has never been the lack of casual play games. Metroid Prime 3 is ONE game that is not suited for you as opposed to...pretty much all the rest that have been released.
- jlgosse, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Isn't this why people complain about the Wii? "I like games where I can sit down for hours on end, not ones where I sit down for a few hours then quit".
Or was it just me who caught that drift? - brufleth, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7I know people love their first person shooters these days but I really miss real Metroid games. Super Metroid ranks very high on my list of all time greatest games.
- b3owulf, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8You obviously didn't read past the opening line.
- aliengoods, on 10/10/2007, -8/+15My only problem with games like that are I don't have a week to play them. I prefer Tiger Woods Golf, or other games of that nature. I can play for a couple of hours, save, and come back a week later without having to remember where I was.
Of course, in college, these were the games I played. - Shanobi, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9I was expecting this from them.
Honestly, part of me thinks that they just want to keep the score lower on Metacritic and Gamerankings, so that their favorite 360 games can bask in the same light that Ocarina of Time was able to.
Either way, the disparity between their reviews and those of other sources is astounding. Especially given the glaring contradictions that the "reviewer" makes throughout his review. I love that he simultaneously is able to slam the old Primes, and yet when convenient uses them to slam Prime 3. And especially fun is how he tries to make the Gamecube Prime games sound as though they were below industry standards, when Prime 1 was in fact GS's Game of the Year when it was released.
After their subtastic reviewing of other Wii games, most noteably Twilight Princess, I'm officially done going to their site. I need to find out how to unregister, because I don't want to contribute to their user base numbers when advertisers look for sites to contribute to.
All anybody has to do to see their anti-Wii bias, is look up "Gamespot Bowling Jeff" on Youtube, and enjoy the hilarity that ensues. - seneyr, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7They also cited "Streamlined controls make things a little too easy" on the bad list. WTF? Isn't that supposed to be a good thing?
- DotKenneth, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8carpespasm: I'm sick of this "No marketing" comment coming from people. Penny Arcade made a great point, people seem to know about it enough to complain about it. You're just spewing up IGN's opinion, which was released before the MP3:C preview channel was released which every single person who owns a Wii and has it connected to the internet was notified about, before Super Metroid was released, which was arguably the most anticipated Virtual Console game to date, and before commercials started airing on TV. On top of that, the hardcore gamer who owns a Wii knows this game is out there. If they were over marketing it, you'd probably be the same person who'd be complaining that you were annoyed with all the ads. (If IGN had previously written an article about that.)
- R3Dirkulous, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I'm playing right now..and I can say with much confidence that you re flat ass wrong..dual analog cant touch the precision or effacing..a mouse yes..but dual analog, hell no
- mrkmrk, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Fact is, this is Metroid. We want something more than worth our time. We're going to get it, too, regardless of what Gamespot says. Picking it up tomorrow after school. Mmm.
- jonnyeh, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Wow, gamespot's been lowballing it recently. They gave the lowest score to bioshock too.
- robotsongs, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6And as such didn't stand in said review.

- E7ernal, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Only losers torrent. Winners DL
- vulapine, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4"And then another $50 on VC games, which they wont let me redownload." Um, yea. Now we know you don't have a Wii. The games actually tell you that you can re-download as many times as you need. Either you don't have a Wii, or you can't read.
- Quix, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Hmm, all I'm seeing with Xbox 360 is the same games as Xbox with shinier graphics. Hell, even the controls are the same. All I'm seeing with PS3 is the same games as PS2 with shinier graphics. Hell, even the controls are the same.
Need I go on? - noumuon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4some people just like to hear other people's opinions about games. haven't you ever asked someone who has played a game before whether they liked it or not?
- HeartlessNobody, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5I was able to pick this game up yesterday at Walmart (even though its supposed to be released today). Got to play it for two or three hours last night and I agree with what I've been reading, it's an incredible game. The FPS controls are very natural and easy to pick up and the art design is excellent. We need more games like this on the Wii!
- Elric77, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4You actually ENJOYED Wii Play!? Are you 5 or 55? You certainly cannot be in between!
- directive0, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4you just made me die a little inside.
- reed311, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6Someday you'll get a job and realize what the value of a dollar is worth and that people should be compensated for their time.
- monkeyrun, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5"load a fresh pair of batteries into the controller, dust off the Wii"
Kinda lame that they feel the need to give a cheap shot at Wii..
Didn't they get the memo ? - timmyn128, on 10/10/2007, -0/+31up has weird reviews sometimes. They'll praise a game up and down and give it a 9, and in another review they'll give a game a 10 that they admit has flaws. (Gears of War) Isn't a game that is a 10 supposed to be perfect?
Remember 1up giving Perfect Dark Zero a 9? lol wtf was that - Yarnage, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4If you would have actually read the article, you would have known that the reviewer stated that in 2002 referring to the first Metroid Prime game on the Gamecube.
- R3Dirkulous, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3and improved graphics, prime 3 looks much better than one and two, you should give it a try and not judge from screenshots. Looks much better in 480p widescreen upclose and personal.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Nah man... Last time I didn't pay any attention to reviews, I ended up purchasing Spider-Man 3... Oh, if only I could turn back time...
Reviews shouldn't be meant to determine whether a game is good or not, in my opinion, but whether or not it's technically sound. Just my thought on the matter - sure, let people make up their own minds after that, but at least let people know whether the game is a glitchy piece of crap, or whatever. - jonnyeh, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Let's hope Metroid: Dread comes out for the DS eventually!
Metroid: Zero Mission for the GBA was awesome, if you liked Super Metroid, check it out. - Heiliger, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Note to self: Pick up thesaurus. Find alternatives for word "although."
- R3Dirkulous, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5oh man i never suspected that type of comment coming from you white noise...surprised it took you so long to join the party? and i guess prime 3 sucks too huh? and deserved the score cuz you have palyed it and beat it already..oh wait, you dont have a Wii
- Heiliger, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3After playing it for a while yesterday (thank you, Target), I can see what the fuss is about. I don't have a lot of experience with FPS titles, so I might be easily wooed. Lots of drama occurs around you as you explore... events that really draw you in. So far, the game feels pretty linear, although I expect that to change later on, as I gain more areas to explore.
The graphics still very much suffer from the jaggy, under-textured handicap of the Wii... Although the level designs, so far, are really well designed. I haven't played anything resembling a FPS since Jedi Knight 3 or Castle Wolfenstein... So I'm not that deflated that MP3 seems graphically on par with these older titles.
The music is strong and moody, but not intrusive. The voice acting is welcomed, although there sure are a lot of space Marines "honored to meet" Aran.
Hands down, THE best control system conceived for a shooter (if an inexperienced player can make such a statement). I was completely expecting the sluggish, flaky control of Link's bow in Twilight Princess, but I was blown away by the ease of moving and aiming.... the free-target-locking system is VERY handy. All the grapple beaming and handle twisting really aids in player immersion. It's odd how satisfying something as gimmicky as handle-pulling-turning-pushing is when I actually do it.
The thing that was odd, was that the Wii needed a specific system update in order to read the disc... An update that is only available when the disc is inserted. The drive also sounds like it's working so hard through the game to load... I've never heard the Wii consistently chug like that before. Anyone else having this happen? - vulapine, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3...and looks very surprised.
