Na, they should add QA in there.

I have a degree in advanced software engineering, I'm the lead designer on 3 video games and I have planned and managed all of our projects so far - this image fits perfectly.
Of course when I look in the mirror, I see God looking back!

Not much of a "war" when its impossible to even find a meager entry-level Java developer job these days.
rbrodkinAug 2, 2011
Maybe that's because Java is a last-gen development platform?

If you made one of these for the auto industry you could make it a 5x5 matrix with marketers and bean counters added to it (and replace Developers with Engineers).
Except that the marketers and bean counters would simply look like the devil to everyone else, and then the products would burn in hell, kind of like what happened to GM :D

funny.. they should have included a client/customer column.. cuz clients are the ones that view everything f**ked up

These are the kind of charts that non-industry people show before boring seminars. This type of thinking was perhaps true in the early 90's, but the truth is that the roles are slowly starting to blur....hence the term front-end developer.

yea

Too funny ... and true!
mansuetusAug 1, 2011
Cool image... seen (too) many times.
QuinnWolfAug 1, 2011
This is so true. The only thing missing is the sales people who drive developers, designers and project managers to the brink of nervous breakdowns.
klasharAug 1, 2011
Mildly amusing. Just imagine how many feet there would be on the table if you had the other layers of management.
kaiventorAug 1, 2011
Yeah, but it would just end up being the same image of a person peeing on another person times however many layers there were.
