Honestly, I do have an idea for this technology. When people are loosing weight, it's hard to actually see results happening. You can work out and weigh yourself, but weight is inconstant.
How about creating bands that can measure waste or belly size? Maybe something that can count calories also and relate effective exercise?
This brings to mind "the Mark of the Beast." Whether or not you believe the Bible is based on myths, people use Biblical prophecy as a framework to actively bring prophecies into fruition, and it is a provocative subject matter. An example was the use of Biblical prophecy as the basis for relocating Jews and forming Israel in 1948, which has had an impact on people whether they are theists or non-theists. http://israelsmessiah.com/prophecy/israel/past_present_future.htm
To better understand the nature of those who believe in the Bible, and/or use it as a format to manipulate people, I found this interesting 9,000 word article on the Mark of the Beast (I used bing and it was the 3rd link down, I couldn't even find it with google using the same search terms) http://www.biblestudy.org/prophecy/what-is-the-mark-of-the-beast.htmlComment is buried, click here to see the rest.
