- Altair27, on 11/25/2008, -0/+28A song with lyrics so vague and impersonal that almost anyone can relate to them?
OMG he, like, wrote it about me!
=why people like artists like James Blunt. - pinkukeftw, on 11/25/2008, -0/+17No he wrote about Kevin Bacon
- JeffLongoria, on 11/25/2008, -1/+17yes but he born in Febuary 1974, so he was a living fetus during 1973 and if his mom was ever in a club, then technically he was in a club in 1973....and he was in a club with her.
- coyote1284, on 11/24/2008, -1/+16Another obvious comment:
The Onion is satire. - floridiot2, on 11/25/2008, -0/+13Another obvious comment:
Chicks digg dudes with money. - evan3168, on 11/25/2008, -0/+11i wonder if she put the lyrics up as her away message
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 11/25/2008, -0/+11"Loogadis fota-graff! Evreetyme eyedoo eht makesmee laff!"
- Kosh, on 11/25/2008, -0/+10I put alot of hard work into this comment.
- JamesLee007, on 11/25/2008, -2/+12It's the only factual article the onion has ever done. I hope they don't make a habit of it.
- okyourturn, on 11/25/2008, -0/+8how much time did you put into yours?
- gaqua, on 11/25/2008, -0/+8I don't mind as long as they don't put it in the real news sections.
- MaskedSlacker, on 11/25/2008, -0/+8Get me my shovel!
What, we don't have a shovel?
Then get me my spatula! - PIPBoy2000, on 11/25/2008, -0/+8no he didn't, he wrote it about ME!
- okyourturn, on 11/25/2008, -0/+7"plus, it always initially tricks me when I see them on here"

- SpeedSteamBoat, on 11/25/2008, -0/+7Linking to an article ruins it for you? I'm sorry.
- LucasG2, on 11/25/2008, -1/+8I read the title and would have bet a lot of money the article was about nickelback.

- nyeus, on 11/25/2008, -0/+5but...but I thought putting lyrics up as my away message was a great way to let people know how deep I'm feeling

- slvrbullet87, on 11/25/2008, -0/+3Is it sad that was easier to understand than when he sings it?
- okyourturn, on 11/25/2008, -0/+3worst band, ever.
- howufinna, on 11/25/2008, -0/+3Another way into a girl's heart; the autotune. I ***** hate those things.
- Demener, on 11/25/2008, -0/+3Contemporary satire is always nice to see. Not every Onion article makes it here so it's not that bad.
- dandonia, on 11/25/2008, -0/+2The dude is a quality singer and song writter. Anyone who can put pinicity (can't even spell it) in a song and pull it off, deserves his money.
His first album was fantastic. - doublefelix, on 11/25/2008, -1/+3I know kosh, I digg your stuff.
- DrLeePhD, on 11/30/2008, -0/+2***** james blunt. .. and kanye.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXw2JYgABuk - TheSnuffster, on 11/25/2008, -0/+2There's a good way?
- FishHammer, on 11/25/2008, -0/+2I've never heard of anything you've ever written so as such I do not care and intend to bury you.
- vizeroth, on 11/25/2008, -1/+3Dug for Carcass...
In any case, I guess I'm lucky that my wife's CD collection was nearly non-existent. I have a duplicate Tool album, which in any case I had given her as a gift when we were dating. There's probably a country CD in there somewhere that never gets listened to as well, but then it's probably so damaged from the way she treats CDs that you wouldn't be able to listen to it anyway. - TheReport, on 11/25/2008, -1/+3"I like to suck balls, lots and lots of man balls"
chorus
"Oh balls in my mouth, suck it hard, suck it soft!!!!" - inactive, on 11/30/2008, -0/+1My housemate calls it whinny rock. Sadly too much "indie" rock fall in this category, I blame "emos" brought up by "conservative" parents who were too busy to give their kids the attention they needed. There are your conservative "family values" in action right there turn key kids and nannies while daddy is off getting a BJ in France. The kind of thing that makes me glad to be from a poor family.
- gavroche, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1Ummm... Bacon
- ATLien74, on 11/25/2008, -1/+2Anybody else have to read that headline more than once before it made sense?
- inactive, on 11/30/2008, -0/+1You didn't get the memo, mainstream major label music has sucked since about 1976 the start of the punk era.
- inactive, on 11/30/2008, -0/+1Separate itunes libraries but networked FTW! What are this shiny silver disks you speak of? Physical media is soooo 20th century.
- DrLeePhD, on 11/30/2008, -0/+1it might as well be.
- inactive, on 11/30/2008, -0/+1Nor true the Onion predicted the Bush years with startling accuracy:
http://www.theonion.com/content/node/28784 - Claverhouse, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1As opposed to 'woman balls' ?
- brundlefly76, on 11/25/2008, -0/+1James Blunt blows, but the time put into a song has nothing to do with its appeal.
The best example is Led Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven" - Robert Plant and crew spent a couple hours on it and they were baffled by its success. Meanwhile they worked their asses off on "Kashmir" and were similarly confused as to why that wasn't a hit. -
