- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -41/+380edit: White Stries play one note conert. The Fans who love it are retarded.
- floppyparty, on 10/11/2007, -17/+325I'm just happy to know that success has not gone to their heads.
- BlackStar77, on 10/11/2007, -3/+287Just in case you didn't know, the audience were warned beforehand that they were only going to play a single note.
- DjOverEZ, on 10/11/2007, -1/+235Sucks to be the guys who set up their equipment.
- Mosatii, on 10/11/2007, -41/+236Seems more like an ***** thing to me, but whatever floats your boat.
- RealmDown, on 10/11/2007, -12/+203Dugg for being note worthy.
- iMaciMan1, on 10/11/2007, -3/+171it would be even better if the person recording knew how to hold a camera
- jodofashodo, on 10/11/2007, -12/+151Better than this is why i'm hot...
- fugularity, on 10/11/2007, -10/+90Since when were the White Stripes not mainstream?
- Phyltre, on 10/11/2007, -12/+88This is what music sounds like without the filler they throw on CDs nowadays.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -40/+107I suppose they are total douche-bags for playing a private concert for sick kids at Bronson Place (A community center) in Ottawa prior to their Bluesfest appearance too. Jack White has more soul in his pinky finger than all of you faceless digg-flamers combined- and I say that not even being a particularly big fan of the Stripes.
- youdlike2know, on 10/11/2007, -40/+106Jack White has officially reached the pinnacle of douchedom
- profOblivion, on 10/11/2007, -6/+69I'm bringing back comment/reply abuse to say the following because it's not nearly high enough on this page:
(1) It was free and those in attendance knew what was happening before the two of them came out.
(2) They had these weird pre-show gigs all across Canada, and they were always several hours before a real, honest-to-goodness, pay-to-get-in, big stage show. I was at their performance at Bluesfest in Ottawa, as were about 40,000 others, and I assure you we were witness to a show that lasted well over an hour and contained several thousand notes. - moofer, on 10/11/2007, -8/+70Their sound engineers will clean up the recording in the studio later on... add some cool effects, and maybe some backup singers. It'll sell.
- lazyrussian, on 10/11/2007, -19/+80that was absolutely retarded.
- mrhaines, on 10/11/2007, -7/+67I think its funny how people take videos with digital cameras with the camera on it's side because they are used to taking pictures like that and then they get home and they realize that their video is on its side...
- frigginchris, on 10/11/2007, -62/+114one note too many.
- aahpandasrun, on 10/11/2007, -20/+63How pompous
- andrewonfire, on 10/11/2007, -4/+46Just to let you know this wasn't the real show. This was in St. John's, Newfoundland. They played a real concert that night at the Stadium.
- ender1984, on 10/11/2007, -27/+68Wow. What a huge ***** tease!
- djempirical, on 10/11/2007, -8/+47"digg me down" is the new "digg me up"
- iceblademan, on 10/11/2007, -2/+38Seriously. Roadies never get any credit
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -83/+118Digg me down. The is just one more reason why the White Stripes suck. Their fans would love this kinda crap.
- sp1keNARF, on 10/11/2007, -2/+36i think everyone at the one note concert knew what it was going to be, since they started chanting "one more note" not "what the *****"
- kaplanfx, on 10/11/2007, -8/+42Most of their songs or only one or two notes anyway, so it's likely no one noticed the difference.
- sp1keNARF, on 10/11/2007, -8/+39i don't like anything anyone else likes.
- brundlefly76, on 10/11/2007, -5/+33Wow White Stripes fans are VERY easily entertained.
- getjustin, on 10/11/2007, -9/+36Very Dadaist.
- Buddhaismybuddy, on 10/11/2007, -3/+30how did it feel to be a concert?
- conman16x, on 10/11/2007, -3/+27Well, they played a real full-length concert later on in the night. So I don't think anyone was complaining the next day.
- shucklak, on 10/11/2007, -94/+116Actually they suck, so it was probably there best performance ever.
- introitus, on 10/11/2007, -9/+31Heh that was such a funny PR stunt. Jack White tore it up later at the show at Mile One Stadium here in St. John's Newfoundland, Canada, the last stop on the Canadian tour. I wasn't a fan but he really did tear it up and I gotta say, he impressed the ***** outta me. I had a great time.
- dBLiSS, on 10/11/2007, -7/+27I was the one note concert, it was a thrill to see them so up close, but we all knew that it was just going to be one note. Nobody was shocked. It was hilarious.
- mojoel, on 10/11/2007, -9/+29Not really a concert. It was a preshow. No one had paid to hear the one note.
- tsaylor, on 10/11/2007, -6/+25Artistic? No more artistic than my alarm clock, which also plays one note, though it holds it longer.
- moofer, on 10/11/2007, -5/+24Have you ever read a joke?
- kcpwnsgman, on 10/11/2007, -3/+22they did have a proper concert later, that and this was free
- Matteos, on 10/11/2007, -5/+23Your mom is boring and overrated.
- Bloc, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19It was a free show. They've now officially played in every province and territory in Canada.
There was a proper gig later that day. - Morphinity, on 10/11/2007, -4/+20Do you just hate mainstream music just for the sake of feeling rebellious?
- Urusai, on 10/11/2007, -14/+30Your favorite band is boring and overrated.
- moofer, on 10/11/2007, -4/+18You're so emo.
- greatpaimei, on 10/11/2007, -1/+15I like turtles!
- conman16x, on 10/11/2007, -4/+17I am very surprised you aren't being buried (perhaps I'm speaking too soon), but well said.
- VaporBro, on 10/26/2007, -24/+37They sure show their fans how grateful they are. The fans made them who they are today. One note? Give me a break.
- kjm16, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14Really? Show me one so I could smack you with it.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+16Umm yeah, sorry I think John Cage has you beat!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4%E2%80%B233%E2%80%B3 - profOblivion, on 10/11/2007, -5/+16The key word is "hilarious". Only a handful here seem to get that part.
- dBLiSS, on 10/11/2007, -4/+15I'll second that. I don't understand how playing for a few old ladies at a bingo hall in St.John's the night before is "selling out". Jack White is an amazing guitarist and they put off an extremely entertaining show. Name another band that has played in every TERRITORY and PROVINCE in Canada. (Especially another American Band).
- sardiax, on 10/11/2007, -3/+14Is listening to Dream Theater supposed to cause musical epiphanies? I mean they're decent, but I suspect you may want to search your mouth for a ***** you might have forgotten you were sucking on.
