- PhantomBantam, on 10/11/2007, -9/+105Very cool. Makes me want to watch Donny Darko.
- Shmoo, on 10/11/2007, -7/+66Even though I knew something was coming at 40 seconds, it still scared the hell out of me. This video is creepy.
- Niten, on 10/11/2007, -1/+45diggslinger: Good eye, but I wouldn't necessarily rule it out as an intentional effect... (disclaimer: IANAMVD either)
- diggslinger, on 10/11/2007, -10/+42I'm not a music video director, but....
bad splicing or panning at the 1:19-1:29 mark. The background has changed. - mrASSMAN, on 10/11/2007, -4/+31Yeah people with rabbit heads are always creepy.
- Krovvy, on 10/11/2007, -6/+31I'm glad that I'm not the only one that thought of Frank.
Very cool video, and a catchy song as well. - DiggzDE, on 10/11/2007, -6/+29I was originally going to bury this topic as a lame form of advertising some band's new music video. However, upon watching it...
Pretty Damn Awesome. - sergiolopes, on 10/11/2007, -2/+22It was obviously intentional.
- Insofar, on 10/11/2007, -2/+22if you'd seen the movie you'd think of it instantly when that ***** up bunny pops out from behind the girl.
- b3mus3d, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20word of mouth is the best form of advertising, and a kind I support.
Digg is just large scale word of mouth really. - DelSolMan, on 10/11/2007, -4/+22they made me do it
- Jimgress, on 10/11/2007, -3/+19What's with everyone immediately thinking that this was a Donnie Darko "inspiration"? Am I missing some article that stated this or does everyone just see guy with a rabbit costume and immediately think donnie darko? Has nobody ever worn a bunny head before?
- Spydarlee, on 10/11/2007, -1/+15"What's with everyone immediately thinking that this was a Donnie Darko "inspiration"?"

Influences: Donnie Darko. - ApolloXLII, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14indeed we are, sir. Digg is serious business.
- Swanston, on 10/11/2007, -5/+18I'm a fairly experienced video editor, but it doesn't even take that to recognize the amazing skill to synchronize, direct and edit that stuff. Very impressive. The editing alone blew me away (with everything synchronized), let alone the feel, mood, and skill of the masked bike riders. Probably the best music videos I've seen on the net (or is this an official music video of the band that made the song?). Either way... God damn.
- Tishiablo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11OBJECTION >:O
- BebopBlues, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12The trick is how to make the bikers disappear behind her. So I think she is shot separately and tracked onto the scene, she seems a bit wobbly at the end when the camera is pulling away, maybe bad tracking. The bikers are just really skilled and can align behind her quickly. Its a cool, simple, yet creative idea for a music video. The music is pretty good also.
- user777, on 10/11/2007, -4/+13intentional. case closed.
- mygrayarea, on 10/11/2007, -4/+13Creepy and hot. Great find.
- abusive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Maybe it was intentional?
- kmcknight, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Did you see that bunny hop?
- godfly, on 10/11/2007, -3/+10@swanston: i have to agree. must have been quite a challenge for the editor to sync everything in that vid - music tempo, bike stunts, lips of the artist, overall mood.. it's MADNESS!
@enclave2: ur funny - SearchX, on 10/11/2007, -4/+10This is creepy as hell, especially when you are drunk.
- Urusai, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6That's all right, you're living on borrowed time anyway.
- ringo380, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Nobody seems to have answered this question yet, so: Yes, it is the official music video for the band Bat for Lashes.
- foxymcfox, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Well, considering it says Copyright 2007 EMI at the end, I am going to hazard a guess and say, "yes."
- nighthawk8713, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Does she know that all those weirdos are following her?
- DrunkenPirate34, on 10/11/2007, -4/+9Yesss. I didn't read the description so I didn't know that something happened at the 00:40 mark. Lets just say I missed the rest of the video because I was cleaning spit up Jack Daniels from my LCD.
- JohnnyRad, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4@ambiguus
"but since when did giving me nightmares count for being creative"
...well if they had the ability to make something they created from scratch invoke emotions in you to the point that your dreams were affected - i'd say that's creativity on their part. - Spoonicus, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5lilly allen and bjork's love child! OMFG!!
- mrASSMAN, on 10/11/2007, -5/+9Donnie Darko is an AWESOME movie.
- LaueOfficer, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6@mrassman
you forgot the !!!!! - Radionesiac, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Can't believe this made the front page...Bat For Lashes is incredible. Bravo Digg.
- ApolloXLII, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4the hoodies and the bikes, too, Jimgress. Not to mention the whole feel of the music video is just pure tragedy, much like Donnie Darko. i dunno, you may be right, but the whole time i was watching this music video i kept thinking "omg donnie darko donnie darko! they made me do it!"
- MrKrinkleDude, on 10/11/2007, -5/+8Cool Donnie Darko inspired vid.
In case anyone's wondering, the artist is Bat for Lashes, CD: Fur and Gold. - LaueOfficer, on 10/11/2007, -4/+7As a self proclaimed Donnie Darko expert (for no other reason than I love the movie, think Jake is a great actor, and was childhood friends with Tiler Peck, aka Beth Farmer, aka the lead Sparkle Motion girl) I hereby say that Donnie Darko, while not the sole influence for this music video, had obvious impact on the outcome. We, Donnie Darko fans, are not trying to put down the music video or say that it is unoriginal, hell, it's a compliment.
- ardalan89, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Love the song. the video is pretty nice as well. the girl is pretty cute too.
- bergur1, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5This reminded me very much of Bjork's videos.
- Urusai, on 11/07/2007, -1/+3You'd rather see black fat-bootied club hoes dancing in front of bored hoodlums with sports jerseys and too much neck bling? Because that never gets old.
- kolywater, on 10/11/2007, -3/+5donnie darko is a great movie from 2001;
this music video probably was inspired by frank the bunny (from donnie darko):

if you watch carefully, it looks like there is some kind of sled behind her, pushing her maybe, but also something for them to grab onto or drive onto. - Heyseuss, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Those of us who are Donnie Darko fans, should see the new directors cut. It's pretty good too, it was re-released a few years ago. Commentary by director Richard Kelly and Kevin Smith is interesting as well as the actual cut. Also by director, Southland Tales.
On a sidenote, I have a friend named Jonnie Darkko, I bet some of you know his work. - qwertydvorak, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2@sixesjones: so you are saying this is art and art makes you think, but don't think about this art ?
- christianw, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2after a little google love this is aparently directed by anton corbijn
http://www.corbijn.co.uk/
take a look at his works page to see the cd cover still work this guys done. ive got a house full of this guys work and i had no idea. - JimDinger, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3@enclave2
Your right, but I think they have battery operated motors on them for some odd ball reason, look at the jump scene and you will see the lead bike speed up after it lands and they don't pedal, just her. I'm thinking it might an added "effect" to the video. - wackie, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1kolywater, thanks for giving me nightmares you prick.
(Just Kidding, but not about the nightmares) - Depthfunction, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Reminded me of some of Feist's videos: seemingly low-budget and simple, but with some special effects scattered throughout. Indeed, I wonder if the director of this video was the same director for Feist's "1 2 3 4".
- Catchpen, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2At first I thought that it was a remake of Jefferson Airplane White Rabbit then the rabbit on the bike came out. weird.
- ionbattle, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Actually it's directed by Dougal Wilson.
- longhairman1337, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1i kind of like it... does that make me gay?
