- nitroburn, on 04/17/2008, -10/+375Does he not own any shirts?
- svtspeed, on 04/17/2008, -31/+203A cool drum beat to ***** music is still ***** music. But seriously the guy has skills.
- ParticleMan420, on 04/17/2008, -1/+123they catch on fire when he drums, so he just doesnt bother anymore
- acevoncash, on 04/17/2008, -13/+99alright now enough of the band wagon trash talk. The rap songs he helps produce and remix are not a true show of talent. He is much more than that. Is he the most creative drummer ever? no. But he is a a very talented one. He hails from punk originally playing with such bands as the transplants, the aquabats, the suicide machines, and blink.. but the things you notice is that he is an INCREDIBLY tight drummer, almost machine like. He also does entertaining and complex fills, however for the most part stays out of the way of the song. Which is perfect not only for punk but for a lot of other types of music too. He has the understanding unlike many many drummers that he keeps the time primarily and plays like a bad ass second. He adds to the music and doesn't cover it up. Of this era, he is not only an icon but ONE of the best drummers, especially for his genre/style.
- rancidalgerian, on 04/17/2008, -46/+127That was fun... But any drummer can tell you that this is simple stuff. For much higher technical skill look elsewhere.
And he's still not forgiven for Blink 182 if you ask me. - dunderballer, on 04/17/2008, -1/+80His shirt is inked on
- Anthem26, on 04/17/2008, -2/+72He should also do a remix for Never Gonna Give You Up
- MistaMatt90, on 04/17/2008, -23/+88I miss blink :(
- StevieJanowski, on 04/02/2009, -11/+64Travis barker is surprisingly heavily involved in the Rap game he produces some siuck songs
- Amadeus2490, on 04/17/2008, -2/+53I had a lot of trouble hearing the drums over the sound of his bare chest.
- Cloud7654, on 04/17/2008, -20/+70He's alright, but he's highly overrated in my opinion. There are much, much, MUCH better drummers out there.
- zanderw00t, on 04/17/2008, -3/+39I agree with you. However, the energy that he brings while drumming is inspiring.
- senorcool, on 04/17/2008, -4/+40Agreed, but he makes great beats for the music he is playing to. You don't have to be a great technical drummer to be a great drummer.
- TBADrift, on 04/17/2008, -1/+37I think he sufferer's from the Matthew McConaughey disease
- IpwnZnoobs, on 04/17/2008, -1/+32Because the beat of the song is a loop
- robopuppy, on 04/17/2008, -3/+34I have no idea who Travis Barker or what Flo Rida - Low is. I also enjoy riding my gigantic high wheel bicycle and the occasional ride in a horseless carriage.
- FaaipDeOiad, on 04/17/2008, -10/+38ok someone has to say it. Travis Barker is a good drummer but one of the best? Definitely not. There are probably countless drummers who haven't gotten the mainstream attention he has who are better than him. As far as the songs go, I think they still suck (granted I'm not into rap music). Also, why does he play with his cymbals so high up?
- matthewdestroys, on 04/17/2008, -17/+39travis is a machine behind the kit.
- stopbrorape, on 04/17/2008, -4/+26souljaboy has no talent.
- 01GoldDigger, on 04/17/2008, -11/+31this remix makes the song a bit more bearable.
- snareguy17, on 04/17/2008, -1/+19Welcome to rap.
- HypocriteDigg, on 04/17/2008, -3/+20If I had tattoos like that I wouldn't wear a shirt either.
- staffell, on 04/17/2008, -18/+35This is pretty boring actually. He looks like he's on a loop.
- VanD, on 04/17/2008, -1/+17You ruined your own comment by reasserting talent penis at the end.
- wellyuk, on 04/17/2008, -3/+18Higher technical skill does not equal better.
Not that I'm into this song, Travis Barker or Blink 182 but some of the greatest songs ever have had very little in the way of technical skill or production. Take "Imagine" by John Lennon, for instance. John Lennon was a good singer, not great. He was a good pianist, not great. "Imagine" consisted of his vocals and a piano with very little production, yet it's possibly the best pop song ever written.
Who cares about "technical skill" when you can write an amazing song. - willdelaney, on 04/17/2008, -5/+18Souja boy is awful and he needs to be killed
bury - Vindicoth, on 04/17/2008, -1/+14Did you just check how long ago someone joined and then make an insult out of it?
- mahDigga, on 04/17/2008, -14/+27coming from a drummer, travis barker is not that amazing. hes overpopular, and has ability, but there are many other drummers who are much more talented them him.
- benguild, on 04/17/2008, -0/+12My co-worker blasts this ***** all day long. Then I change it to my music. He says "wtf is wrong with you, i wanna hear variety, i dont wanna here the same ***** over and over..." apparantly T-Pain and Usher have distinct styles and they have taken extreme amounts of time to think through and compose their musical masterpieces...Ugh...
- travis1982, on 04/17/2008, -3/+15Why? Because their songs were ***** hilarious...and no one else at the time made fun of the other douchebags so brilliantly. I prefer Transplants more than Blink, but still...both are great.
- civilizedevil, on 04/17/2008, -3/+15I agree, I don't know about you but the lazy simplistic ***** beats topped off with ***** vocals in today's hip hop and R&B seriously depresses me, it literally makes me uncomfortable and a little sad when I'm out and this crap comes on the radio. I can be in a good mood when T-pain comes on the radio and all of a sudden I feel annoyed and sad about life. I miss the days when I could turn on the radio and not feel sick to my stomach.
- RomeyRome, on 04/17/2008, -2/+14Many don't. I still listen to rap from the 90s.
- mrsteveman1, on 04/17/2008, -1/+12the price is wrong BITCH
- atlantocide, on 04/17/2008, -1/+11Me too man, me too
- Marku$, on 04/17/2008, -13/+23better video : http://youtube.com/watch?v=RKQgDY0pZ68
- Sawta, on 04/18/2008, -0/+9Is there a version of that video that has nothing but the drums..you know, the part that wasn't god awful.
- acevoncash, on 04/17/2008, -2/+11He isn't trying to be impressive. its a remix of a song. he is playing for it. its not a drum solo.
- rswelling, on 04/17/2008, -2/+11I'd rather see Larry Wright do it...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cXxQ5kQVO0 - chewbie, on 04/17/2008, -1/+10yupp. You need soul to make good music, not just skillz. Kinda corny but true
- Slacker1031, on 04/17/2008, -6/+15it's called Travis Barker is nothing ***** special, and if you think this video showcases "talent", go to your local music store and listen to all the 12-15 year olds playing the same exact lines. If you want to hear what a drummer sounds like, look up daney carey and mike portnoy.
It's funny, i love all the self proclaimed professional music critics here all of a sudden. What magazine do you write for douchebag? - Bgoui, on 04/17/2008, -2/+10I don't see anything anywhere were Travis Barker himself is bragging about being the best drummer, so I don't see why there's any reason to talk trash on what he does. This in particular is just him remixing a rap song, it's not like it's the best thing he has done with his career. I understand hes not as amazing as people would like him to be, but I don't know why everyone feels like they have to talk him down because hes not the "best".
- inactive, on 04/17/2008, -1/+9He mostly slams on his cymbals...the higher they are the easier angle it is to crash on them.
- zanderw00t, on 04/17/2008, -0/+8*****, you're right, thanks for reminding me. I have to hit the bank on the way home.
- Bgoui, on 04/17/2008, -2/+10He may not own any shirts but he owns his own store and clothing line "Famous Stars and Straps". Thats pretty ironic to me.
- inactive, on 04/17/2008, -2/+9Yes, it is simple, but any real drummer should know that this is creative and Travis is capable of a lot more
- rpong1981, on 04/17/2008, -4/+11Is there a website featuring all of his recordings? It seems that he's producing it but someone unrelatead to Travis is posting them. Where's the source?
- Cink420, on 04/17/2008, -3/+9Dugg for not forgiving him, but it's not simple considering what he was drumming to.
- rpong1981, on 04/17/2008, -1/+7It's weird that he doesn't post it himself, some guy on youtube named havenblvd uploads it and he links it from his myspace. Maybe that's the guy who's recording it. I dunno. I wish he would make more of these cause I don't like rap but I love the drums he adds to the rap songs
- spidoman, on 04/17/2008, -5/+11A crap song turned actually kinda hardcore, one of my favorite youtube videos.
- travis1982, on 04/17/2008, -1/+7word
