lyrics to the song. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Back in 2000, I got a phone call (at work!) from a lawyer from Universal Records and the RIAA, because someone on my auction site was selling a bootleg Godsmack album (it was someone that used to date the band and had it around to sell, I guess).
In my conversation, I said very snydley, "Oh, I completely agree with you and would like to work with you to resolve your concerns. There is nothing worse than someone taking advantage of an artist's talent and creativity and product and exploiting them for their own gain!".
I then told them that I would contact the seller about closing the auction down and remove it if I did not receive a response within one week. The lawyers said that sounded just fine. The auction was scheduled to end five days later (two days before the deadline I suggested). Hah. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What if everyone on digg called RIAA and played this...?
- dongiaconia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well i'm pretty sure its not a real prank phone call, but its funny.

- rewritable, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A telemarketer called me a while back and started wight away jibbering his head off about some septic tank cleaner that just had to have or I might die or something. I ran over to my computer and fired up Promised Land by Elvis. I let it play for about 20 seconds before I turned on my speakers full blast into the phone. I showed his a**. I even did a little dance until the song was over but too bad I couldn't force him to watch that.
