- rbowes, on 12/25/2007, -7/+51I would have dugg it if the title was"stupidest guitar design ever"
- spudfrog, on 12/25/2007, -1/+41I like the wall of transparent speakers.
- Error601, on 12/25/2007, -1/+39A two string? I don't think I've ever seen one of those either. I've seen a one string.
- DeadRooster, on 12/25/2007, -3/+34The people in the audience doing needle-drugs are totally freaking out right now.
- yfguitarist, on 12/25/2007, -1/+23In your dreams!
- dotlizard, on 12/25/2007, -2/+20no, that's the whole point. the body is a huge guitar headstock shape, and the head is a body shape. it's like, backwards, and backwards things are amusing.
- Error601, on 12/25/2007, -2/+20Here's the one string bass:
http://www.projectsandhobbies.com/Tim-with-Bass.jp ... - KiTchMe, on 12/25/2007, -3/+20he's doing it wrong
- sabach, on 12/25/2007, -0/+15I don't believe you put Queen and Village People in the same sentence.
- zzzpoohzzz, on 12/25/2007, -0/+11you are right... there is no pun there
- shotmenot, on 12/25/2007, -2/+13Or you know your amazing when you can play a two string instrument like its more

- radialturkey, on 12/25/2007, -0/+10Idk, but apparently it can make people around you die.
- RedHerringHack, on 12/25/2007, -1/+11Look at the number of frets, seriously that scale is huge. He only needs 2 strings. That thing ***** rocks. I feel like I am hallucinating just looking at it, having stared at my own strat for decades. It gives me perspective confusion. I love it!!!
- rexblade, on 12/25/2007, -2/+11Check out those speakers those are pretty cool too.
- vault, on 12/25/2007, -13/+21This really isn't hilarious.
- ragnaronni, on 12/25/2007, -1/+8oh my god it's weird seeing d.a.d and stig, and that bass, and that huge wall of speakers on digg!!!
i'm from denmark, and i've set the stage up at one of their concerts, helped set up the speakers, the bass, they are really nice people :D
fyi they use a 15 feet tall solid mirror cow head behind the drum kit too, f'ing heavy!!! - iheartjebus, on 12/25/2007, -0/+6The bassist for the Presidents of the U.S.A. plays a two string.
- aaabatteries, on 12/25/2007, -1/+7WOAH.
how did I not see that? - yfguitarist, on 12/25/2007, -1/+6I think what we all seem to be forgetting is that there is a wall in the background - a wall of transparent speakers.
- sabach, on 12/25/2007, -0/+5Freddie Mercury was bisexual but I don't remember ever hearing anything about the orientation of the other 3. Queen was never about being "gay", they were about being amazing musicians and showmen. Village People was indeed solely about being gay. You can't make this comparison work under any conditions.
- middy, on 12/25/2007, -0/+4Two strings come and go, there's quite a few designs, it's just not as popular as the 4-string.
- evhan, on 12/25/2007, -2/+6You're right, Red Hot Chili Peppers songs are difficult to play on bass.
If you suck dodongos. - Armagetto, on 12/25/2007, -1/+5Anyone remember the 1990's Boston alternative rock band Morphine?
They were a jazz/blues influenced 3 piece with a drummer, a horn player who played 2 saxes at once and a singer, Mark Sandman, who played a 2-string bass. They laid down some chilled out grooves and their bass was as smooth as butter, but they were cut short when the singer died onstage at a concert in Rome. - RubberBinder, on 12/26/2007, -0/+4No, it probably looks perfectly normal to them.
- biggestsonicfan, on 12/25/2007, -4/+7I'm actually more impressed with those impressive speakers back there.
- Kronos6948, on 12/25/2007, -1/+4I guess to accommodate for the smaller neck. Even though it's a bass, the neck looks like it was designed to match the tiny body (headstock).
- bjornski, on 12/25/2007, -1/+4Yup. He reversed the string son it so the lowest note would be on top, as it normally would to a right hander.
I had a buddy who would take a right handed guitar form someone, flip it over, and play it left handed without reversing the strings. He said it made more sense to him, as then the lowest notes would be on the lower strings. He was awesome. He could play almost anything, too.
Good times, good times. - stephant, on 12/25/2007, -1/+4I get your point but it takes a great musician to make it work. Just check out Presidents of the United States of America to see what two strings can do.
- arcangelgabriel, on 12/25/2007, -0/+3Jaco Pastorius is not amused...
- stephant, on 12/25/2007, -1/+4You beat me to it. And, for the record, he plays the crap out of it.
- Oshi, on 12/25/2007, -0/+2Hey, not if he's good with them.
- Kronos6948, on 12/25/2007, -3/+5You obviously don't know much about metal. Punk, maybe. Not most metal. A lot of metal musicians (myself included) take my music very seriously. I don't perform a song live unless I have it down to the point where I don't have to think about playing it. Then, it gives me the freedom to move around and not stand there like a stick.
Look up:
Steve Harriss
Cliff Burton
Steve Digiorgio
Alex Webster
Paul Romanko,
etc. - semeticstallion, on 12/25/2007, -1/+3I thought about digging you up because I liked the fact you were being informative. I then looked at your first sentence, weighed out the comment and dugg you down. Are 9/10ths of the "Ever" stories accurate? No. Do you need to stop caring about the accuracy of these "Ever" stories and just enjoy them for what they are? Yes.
- Typhoon2009, on 12/25/2007, -0/+2That's pretty cool, but I'd say the funniest guitar design is in the movie Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny. During the fantasy sequence Jack has when they play at the bar, Kage suddenly gets this guitar that looks like two women's legs in a V shape to signify cunnilingus.
- ninjakoala, on 12/25/2007, -0/+2Now with working link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D-A-D
- yonas, on 12/25/2007, -0/+2That's not hilarious, that's *****' cool!
- zzzpoohzzz, on 12/25/2007, -0/+2and now... i have guitar envy
- cspivack, on 12/25/2007, -0/+2Washtub bass. I prefer the whamola variation.

You play it by hitting the string with a ***** drumstick. It's kickass. - crazzy88ss, on 12/25/2007, -1/+3at least it was "ever" and not "EVAR"
- RedHerringHack, on 12/25/2007, -3/+5Look at the number of frets, seriously that scale is huge. He only needs 2 strings. That thing ***** rocks. I feel like I am hallucinating just looking at it, having stared at my own strat for decades. It gives me perspective confusion. I love it!!! ( Just needed a huge precision body instead ).
- NotOptium, on 12/25/2007, -0/+1How do you play 2 saxes at once?
- edwartica, on 12/26/2007, -0/+1Umm, I'm sorry, but saying that band's name in the same comment as "great musicians" is just a freaking oxymoron!
- ispeakasian, on 12/25/2007, -0/+1I dont.
- edwartica, on 12/26/2007, -0/+1"Damn, this stuff doesn't seem to be working!"
