And an hour later once Digg users start to play with it.. 'some' taste begins to appear - TheWalkingDude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Here are some other MP3 resources (see right hand side bar):
http://digguser.blogspot.com/
It’s a blog, but there are no ads or commentary, just links. - sadcoldday, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9DUGG!
I didn't look at the site but I like the title, and I really like clicking on things, - chosenone-, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Stealing from who exactly? If you duplicate something the other one remains, no? Artists don't lose profits (they get jack ***** from record sales, touring and t-shirts are their moneymakers), and if record companies lose money I think that's GOOD. Why? They're amoral monster consumers who make billions with washed-out new-age crap.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7It's a trap!
- DevilDunkard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7That's a cool site, but it makes me little nervous. Seems like a honey pot.
- PeterBassett, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7"Q: Will my information be kept private?
Yes, no personal information, including email will remain disclosed. You however, may edit your profile any time you wish."
What the hell does that mean? Looks iffy to me. - malachidigg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6@zippy757 we all understand it's illegal, however think of it as a protest against a monopoly unfairly charging extortionate prices for mp3's.
If the record companies charged reasonable prices for the files, we'd [almost] all buy them legally.
Think on this: Here in the UK, most albums can be purchased for around £9.00. An average of 10 tracks per album = £0.90 per track. The record company has to pay production/distribution/marketing costs to get that CD to where I can buy it.
Online I pay iTunes £0.99 per track, yet there is no production/distribution costs for the CD. In addition, the track is lower than CD quality and is DRM.
So, I pay more money for a worse track that I can do less with if I pay legally for a digital track online - that only encourages me to seek an alternative. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Holy *****...that is creepy. I think if I read that correctly it said that your information is not safe am I right? This really feels like a site that works with RIAA
- cbeach, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Dammit.. blocked by the corporate proxy!
- palagrim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"Mp3 files may be present in our database, which cannot legally be downloaded (Copyrighted songs). Due to our technology, we can not determine which files are under Copyright and are not. Mp3Realm.org Does not & never will store any *.mp3 files on our own servers. Visitors and users of this website should acknowledge we are not responsible for what they(you) download. If you believe a file is under copyright, and therefore is illegal, by all means do not download it and infringe upon the copyright of the owner."
-- Bring on the RIAA again then... - dep01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3THIS site is actually pretty great: http://hype.non-standard.net/
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Is mp3realm legal?
- palagrim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Working fine for me...
- a7bat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Promoting a band through it I see.Seems like spam when it's done like that.
- conchur, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Seems like a decent selection...
- mytea, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2It's probably legal, just not if you use it to download copyrighted mp3's.. it follows in the legal footsteps of bit torrent etc.. (i.e. the site/app is legal, just not 95% of the content it allows you to access)..
- keeperofkeys, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2This is better - it has a player built in:
http://www.seeqpod.com/music/ - Jarasmen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2> It stealing...
Uh... yeah, so? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I think torrents just about cover it for most of us.
- NccWarp9, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nice Discalamer.... covers all the basics in few short lines
- GeneralSkaal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's awesome that the digg link goes to the Epoxies.... They rock, I saw them in concert.
- HungryMedia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Since they are just indexing readily available content from other sites, I would imagine that would preclude any lawsuits against them.
- InfamousX241, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://www.music.infamousx.com
Less of a hassle with ads and more straight-forward, plus points for web 2.0. - oblongmouth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Promising, but every result seems to be down :(
- impalaz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't see how you think it's illegal ? Its linking to other sites just like yahoo and singingfish do on their mp3 search ...

- wiijunkys, on 12/28/2008, -0/+0I always just use http://mp3plz.com mainley i just tune into the toplist updated everyday if things are not there i just search for myself hasnt let me down yet.
im sure the website uses 6 sources witch is good too - mitdrissia, on 03/03/2009, -0/+0i always use http://www.batuu.com. It has no pop-ups or ads. It finds a lot of mp3s not only the top 40 music on mtv and other music channels. don't need to download any software, just search, listen and download directly to your computer. Mp3s are not stored on the server so no problem for downloading.
- joefrank, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This site is similar, though you can browse as well:
http://www.sonicx.com - skb1488, on 05/05/2009, -0/+0At .99 cents a download I don't understand why people wouldn't buy their MP3s from legal sites like http://www.imp3.org
- DavisTheDigger, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1who the ***** r the epoxies? probably the submitters band or a band he likes. should hav just linked to the home page
- Jarasmen, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Okay, I take back my previous comment. It seems that afaik in my country it's legal as long as I don't share it myself :)
