- BlueRogueVyse, on 08/26/2008, -6/+220Led 'Zepplin' -Come on, really?
- kinseyincanada, on 08/27/2008, -7/+113Led Zeppelin
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -5/+55I saw Plant in concert last year, his voice is a bit shot (at this point Jack White sounds more like 70s-Plant than 2008-Plant does) but regardless, this announcement got me really excited. In my eyes Zeppelin will always be the one and only Kings of Rock no matter who comes along.
- TheMachine1, on 08/27/2008, -1/+44"there was "lots of politics" to sort out first."
$$$ - TheR3dMenace, on 08/27/2008, -0/+33you mean the roling stones and airosmith?
- ishotthedoor, on 08/27/2008, -0/+31Jason Bonham is John Bonham's son. They had him replace John at the reunion tour and apparently would use him as their drummer on this new album. And for *****'s sake, its Led Zeppelin
- alabare, on 08/27/2008, -4/+34 If Plants not in the studio along with Page, Jones and Bonham, then how is Led Zepplin back in the studio? I really wish this were more of a true statement. Dying for the new tour.
- Jonmad17, on 08/27/2008, -0/+28Oh *****.
I don't care if Plant's voice isn't what it used to be. Dylan proves Writing > Vocals. - thetanman, on 08/27/2008, -0/+23I hear Bonham's son is a pretty damn good fill-in.
- tmackb1991, on 08/27/2008, -0/+22Beats today's music
- petebot, on 08/27/2008, -0/+21Yes, apparently this guy did not write "Led Zeppelin" all over his spiral notebooks during History class.
- Narcism, on 08/27/2008, -12/+32Led Zepplin? That's the band with John Ru Paul Jones, Robert Plante, John Bonam and Jimmy Paige, right?
- ksgant, on 08/27/2008, -0/+17Why does it always have to be "they need the money"? No, they don't need the money...at all. They and their children's children could live comfortably for the rest of their lives on just the royalties of their albums alone.
You see, musicians like playing music. The poor ones to the rich ones. - doctordbx, on 08/27/2008, -2/+17Hey... it's possible to like more than one band... some of us moved on from being 13.
Angus Young is an amazing guitarist. So is Jimmy Page. I enjoy listening to both. - Oztog, on 08/27/2008, -2/+16As long as there's back masking I'll be happy
- thegools, on 08/27/2008, -11/+25I say this is all gonna go down like a lead zeppelin.
- transmothra, on 08/27/2008, -2/+15will comment later... have to rub one out now k bye.
- orlyfactor, on 08/27/2008, -1/+13More like Elevator to Heaven at their age
- doctechnical, on 08/27/2008, -1/+13They generally tape the music tracks and then have the singer sing over what's already been laid down. In other words, Plant can phone it in, more or less.
- mixxo, on 08/27/2008, -3/+14please please do NOT do this.....
- Scrappy1850, on 08/27/2008, -0/+11songs dont get sequels... just ask the unforgiven
- inactive, on 08/27/2008, -3/+14It's been a long time since I Rock n Rolled........
- doctechnical, on 08/27/2008, -0/+10Because The Who died with Keith Moon, right?
Too bad Bonham died choking on vomit. I hope they find out who's vomit that was and lock that bastard up forever. - Narcism, on 08/27/2008, -2/+11PS, I'm not trashing Led Zeppelin (favorite band), just the 12 people above me who can't seem to spell everything correctly. Don't bury, I take Digg seriously :(
- thetanman, on 08/27/2008, -1/+9I could listen to Since I've Been Loving You (from How the West was Won) on repeat indefinitely. I would LOVE another live album from these guys.
- diggopolous, on 08/27/2008, -5/+13My Sweet Satan is returning for backing vocals.
- doctechnical, on 08/27/2008, -0/+8And the apple didn't fall far from the tree, Jason sounds enough like his dad to pull it off.
- TheR3dMenace, on 08/27/2008, -1/+9Nobody gets your on-point comment, shame...
- Smokeydabear, on 08/27/2008, -0/+7(Hands you a piece of Kit Kat bar.)
- doctordbx, on 08/27/2008, -2/+9Even the Foo Fighters had the audacity to bill themselves as "the worlds greatest rock and roll band" - it's marketing, it sells concert tickets... deal with it.
- jackhowitzer, on 08/27/2008, -0/+7Dugg, because I actually get it
- TVega, on 08/27/2008, -0/+6They should go back to their roots and do a cover record of blues songs from the 40 and 50s.
- koenigje, on 08/27/2008, -0/+6Except they are missing Robert Plant. I don't know but I think he is a kind of important of the band.
And they are just jamming...... - inactive, on 08/27/2008, -0/+6Not sure why this is being dugg down. I got it. Too many youngin's here I guess.
- skillet, on 08/27/2008, -0/+6They were offered $100M -each- to do a tour, and they turned it down. It isn't about the money. Plant decided to continue exploring a new direction with Alison Krauss and the other guys apparently just want to make some music together. It's not about greed, it's about putting your talents to use and there's no reason these guys, some of the greatest musicians of all time, should be sitting around watching the grass grow. I wish them the best and can't wait to hear what they record next -- if Plant won't sing with them and now that Page is sober, they should get Paul Rodgers together with Page again (a la The Firm) and do it right this time.
- mrmopwater, on 08/27/2008, -2/+8Oh joy. Maybe they'll release their next album as a Wal-Mart exclusive like AC/DC. KNOW YOUR KEY DEMOGRAPHIC.
- dafragsta, on 08/27/2008, -9/+15What was this about the "World's Biggest Rock Band, AC/DC" again? Angus Young isn't worthy of being Jimmy Page's roadie.
- sgtpppr, on 08/27/2008, -0/+5I was with you until you decided to rip on Gilmour. If Roger Waters could stop being a ***** for more than two seconds, maybe there'd be a real reunion tour.
- replikhant, on 08/27/2008, -0/+5Whatever, but he is the closest thing to John this humanity will ever get.
- jaihu, on 08/27/2008, -1/+6you tool, he was commenting on the spelling of "zeppelin"
- susn, on 08/27/2008, -1/+6he's referring to the spelling...
- Narcism, on 08/27/2008, -0/+5I actually prefer the studio version, maybe I'm weird. It's like that for me for Love Reign O'er Me as well (tangent), I just feel it more in the original recording.
- 4321234, on 08/27/2008, -0/+5I know. A couple of my friends choked on vomit. If you ever find vomit, don't eat it! Even if there's chicken in it.
- DoctorGrondo, on 08/27/2008, -0/+5Yeah, but I think this is about the closest we'll ever get.
- ChstrCopperpot, on 08/27/2008, -0/+4The individual band members never stopped rockin. They've all had solo projects for years.
And I don't care if Bonham is dead, he still rocks to this day. - bieber, on 08/27/2008, -0/+4Have a copy of the BCC Sessions? I've always liked that version a little more than HtWwW...
- snyluc13, on 08/27/2008, -0/+4john was an amazing drummer, i hope his son will be just as good
- dafragsta, on 08/27/2008, -2/+6I was addressing the "World's Biggest Rock Band, AC/DC" billing. I will say that Angus CAN play good guitar, but AC/DC can't hold a candle to the songwriting abilities of Zeppelin. Just don't bring up Zeppelin's last two albums.
- hashputin, on 08/27/2008, -0/+4They don't need the money, selling the rights to Stairway is worth tens of millions of dollars.
- inactive, on 08/27/2008, -1/+5And she's buuyiing a stairwayyy, to heavennnnnn, again.
