- quaunaut, on 04/24/2008, -6/+28Finally! Nearly 8 hours, and finally having the real, high quality download shows the craftsmanship here.
Question is now...is the graphic contained in the file anything anyone recognizes, to point towards an album title?- elishagrey, on 04/24/2008, -2/+96No album title but in the ID3 tag of the MP3 the Comments field says, "Go to www.nin.com May 5". Yeah!
- yoshman, on 04/24/2008, -0/+15Maybe he just likes Tetris?
- AzureRise, on 04/24/2008, -0/+4Who doesn't?
- Fratz, on 04/24/2008, -0/+165 blocks = 5/5 or May 5th

EP?- dvslamont, on 04/24/2008, -1/+2*****!!!
- WazzaInc, on 04/24/2008, -2/+25 tracks
- Nero9171, on 04/24/2008, -2/+3I thought the same thing
- Soup4Brains, on 04/24/2008, -0/+7What's really odd is that in the black boxes in that graphic you can see a faint outline of one of the pictures Trent posted from China, which was captioned "from the future."
Hmm... - postalblowfish7, on 04/24/2008, -0/+25 blocks, one circled. one track out of a 5 track EP maybe?
it reminded me of the sign right inside the giant golden dome in RIVEN - the one with the block representations of the islands.
- petetheterrible, on 04/24/2008, -14/+8Sexy.
- DJafrodijiak, on 04/24/2008, -4/+5i love it.. feels like with teeth, feels like a transition. i just hope his viciousness ISN'T losing ground.. but that's too ridiculous to even think. i have a feeling he has yet to fully melt our faces off, once again.
- edmundson, on 04/24/2008, -9/+24Its quite good! Gonna DL and remix it at work tomorrow... Woo hoo!
- undershirt, on 04/24/2008, -19/+3Don't you dare!
- ndonohue, on 04/24/2008, -11/+6Either you're a sound engineer or bored as hell... MIDI keyboards in the office FTW
- WazzaInc, on 04/24/2008, -2/+4Im gonna tell your boss!
:P
- WazzaInc, on 04/24/2008, -2/+4Im gonna tell your boss!
- davewashere, on 04/24/2008, -3/+6I wish they'd let me have speakers or headphones at work. I have to do all my remixing without actually hearing any sound. In case you haven't guessed who I am yet, I was the audio engineer on Bruce Springsteen's last album. I just turned everything up to 11 and hoped for the best.
- verthex, on 04/24/2008, -5/+18this song gonna sound great live
- doozer420, on 04/24/2008, -5/+79Trent is the Man.... Nice to hear his voice again too.... not that there is anything wrong with Ghosts
- i4mt3hwin, on 04/24/2008, -1/+4I guess we'll hear more May 5th - http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/7353/moretocome ...
- itsfullofstars, on 04/24/2008, -1/+2I fully agree. Reznor just "gets it". Now I'm going to blab to all of my friends of his brilliance at interactive internet networking.

- Gravey9, on 04/24/2008, -2/+4Ghosts isn't that good, and don't go calling blasphemy because it's the nails, not everything Trent does is from the heavens
- dick-richardson, on 04/25/2008, -0/+1Actually, Ghosts is probably one of the few really good pieces NIN has done. Tool and Korn have been significantly more intellectual with their past work. Reznor's starting to show some brilliance unfettered that I honestly didn't believe was there.
- NinjaBear, on 05/03/2008, -0/+1Korn intellectual...?

- moush, on 04/24/2008, -2/+3It's easy to give something away for free when it's complete *****.
- Dhalamar, on 04/24/2008, -5/+28The multitracks of the song are on http://remix.nin.com for those of you who want to take a stab at it as well.
- coopernickel09, on 04/24/2008, -12/+10The info on the track in iTunes say go to nin.com on may 5, a new album perhaps? This is looking awesome!
- BradGroux, on 04/24/2008, -7/+154Am I still tough enough?
Feels like I'm wearing down (down down down down)
Is my viciousness
losing ground (ground ground ground ground)
Am I taking too much?
Did I cross the line, line, line?
I need my role in this
very clearly defined
I need your discipline
I need your help
I need your discipline
You know once I start I cannot help myself
Now it's starting up
feels like I'm losing touch
Oh nothing matters to me
nothing matters as much
I see you left a mark
up and down the skin (skin skin)
I don't know where I end
or where you begin
I need your discipline
I need your help
I need your discipline
You know once I start I cannot help myself
I cannot stop myself
Once I start I cannot stop myself
(And you know)
Once I start I cannot stop myself
(And you know)
Once I start I cannot stop myself
I need your discipline
(And you know)
I need your help
(Once I stop I cannot stop myself)
I need your discipline
(And you know)
Because once I start I cannot stop myself.- zephc, on 04/24/2008, -16/+5A song about chronic masturbation?
- keviniskool, on 04/24/2008, -1/+56I believe this may be the first time on digg that music lyrics were dugg up.
- Tishiablo, on 04/24/2008, -3/+15We're no strangers to love.
- Tishiablo, on 04/24/2008, -1/+2Aw, man. :(
- elpohl, on 04/24/2008, -1/+1Yeah sure, like the memories of all the Rick Rolling lyrics can fade away quickly.
- Tishiablo, on 04/24/2008, -3/+15We're no strangers to love.
- RafiParrr, on 04/24/2008, -0/+11I wonder if it's supposed to be a part of the Year Zero storyline. The lyrics are very reminiscent of "Me, I'm not" and "The Great Destroyer" so hopefully he's gonna build that storyline further in the next album, which I'm personally looking forward to.
- CancerBomb, on 04/24/2008, -0/+6That would make sense, assuming Trent ever decides to finish what he started with Year Zero (he seemed less interested in the concept in recent interviews I've read, but who knows). It also sounds like it could be a somewhat sarcastic song about Trent leaving the RIAA and calling his own shots.
- iEnigma, on 04/24/2008, -1/+17The lyrics are embedded in the MP3, you know.
- zlatinb, on 04/24/2008, -0/+2Darn. Now I have to recreate the meaning of the song from scratch - I thought instead of "up and down the skin" he was singing "burn up on the skin".
- aplardi, on 04/24/2008, -10/+4Sounds like a guy who would never want to give me up... let me down... or maybe even desert me for that matter...
mmmmm desert.- powatom, on 04/24/2008, -1/+1Sandy!
- jrm5100, on 04/24/2008, -0/+4Maybe he can't stop himself from making new music. That is an addiction that I would support (as long as the music stays good).
- dhl07, on 04/24/2008, -0/+3If so that's awesome. Most great musicians find it hard not to create, it just happens.
- jaydoj, on 04/24/2008, -0/+2and we all know what happens when that starts going downhill (not a rickroll) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKAIlrkSZOg
- uhhNo, on 04/24/2008, -9/+38Were no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do i
A full commitments what Im thinking of
You wouldnt get this from any other guy
I just wanna tell you how Im feeling
Gotta make you understand
* never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
Weve know each other for so long
Your hearts been aching
But youre too shy to say it
Inside we both know whats been going on
We know the game and were gonna play it
And if you ask me how Im feeling
Dont tell me youre too blind to see
(* repeat)
Give you up. give you up
Give you up, give you up
Never gonna give
Never gonna give, give you up
Never gonna give
Never gonna give, five you up
I just wanna tell you how Im feeling
Gotta make you understand
(* repeat 3 times)

- WazzaInc, on 04/24/2008, -3/+52Trent is just a music pumping machine!
- 5159, on 04/24/2008, -1/+24This was not always so.
- WazzaInc, on 04/24/2008, -0/+10Thats why Im so happy about all of this ^_^.
- catch-22, on 04/24/2008, -0/+3He's always created tons of music. The difference is, now he releases a hell of a lot more of it.
- MaTT2011, on 04/24/2008, -10/+2Nay, he is a music making GOD!
Bow before him!- 5159, on 04/24/2008, -2/+0Uhh....no thanks.
- NinjaBear, on 05/03/2008, -0/+1I remember the wait from Downward Spiral to The Fragile... It was over 5 years!
- 5159, on 04/24/2008, -1/+24This was not always so.
- XmenArt, on 04/24/2008, -27/+3Sweet, seems like everyones giving music out. Trent, Radiohead, Amazon, Cnet, even http://www.volumevote.com
I'm loving this trend. When will the RIAA learn that giving out music actually sells more music, concert tickets, and merchandise.- zlatinb, on 04/24/2008, -3/+2And lets not forget Charles Manson! :)
- kakwakas, on 04/24/2008, -2/+2Did he finally release a cover of Helter Skelter?
- zlatinb, on 04/24/2008, -3/+2And lets not forget Charles Manson! :)
- Nero9171, on 04/24/2008, -39/+13Obama/Reznor 08
Believe- userperson, on 04/24/2008, -0/+3That's insulting! Trent Reznor never stole ***** from me; quite the opposite -- case in point.
- Raphyy, on 04/24/2008, -81/+5A band by the name of Nine Inch Nails just doesn't sound too good.
- Grimee, on 04/24/2008, -5/+22Are you that moronic? A user with the name of Raphyy just doesn't seem to be very good at life. You fail.
- Nyuura, on 04/24/2008, -1/+16dude , nine inch nails has been around since 1988 . the name was made to be catchy and easy to abriviate . if you don't find the NIN logo to be one of the most recognizable images in music and art , you obviously are a noob .
just listen to the music alright . judge it by that . you've got almost 20 years of music to work with .- gnslngr1919, on 04/24/2008, -5/+2What if I don't like any of it? Am I still a noob?
- radoo, on 04/24/2008, -2/+6yes.
- SquigglyP, on 04/24/2008, -1/+4music is subjective. You can't help it if you don't like good music.
- jaydoj, on 04/24/2008, -0/+320 years, wow, think about that for a minute, now thats good to know that Trent has been at it that long and still has the effect he does....wow
- Verdanic, on 04/24/2008, -0/+3Personal preference, taste. I love NIN, but I know others do not. I make it through the day without bashing those people for having musical taste contrasting my own.
- Nyuura, on 04/24/2008, -1/+16dude , nine inch nails has been around since 1988 . the name was made to be catchy and easy to abriviate . if you don't find the NIN logo to be one of the most recognizable images in music and art , you obviously are a noob .
- jaydoj, on 04/24/2008, -1/+3get out. now.
- coyote1284, on 04/24/2008, -1/+2I really hope that's some sort of obscure reference I'm not getting.
- Grimee, on 04/24/2008, -5/+22Are you that moronic? A user with the name of Raphyy just doesn't seem to be very good at life. You fail.
- WhiteMike87, on 04/24/2008, -101/+7NIN sucks. Buried.
- fluoxetine, on 04/24/2008, -41/+2AGREEEED
- tofur, on 04/24/2008, -5/+21...and so are you.
- ChooChoo3000, on 04/24/2008, -13/+1I completely agree NIN sucks balls, but for whatever reasons, these sheeple on Digg can't get enough of him. They need to step into 2008 and get out of 1996. He completely fell off after Downward Spiral.
- coyote1284, on 04/24/2008, -2/+4I can see how Fragile and With Teeth would turn off some NIN fans, but if you liked NIN at all, I urge you to give Year Zero a chance. (Baa!)
- tommyjwall, on 04/24/2008, -51/+6You mean I have to give my email address to get a song now? Don't do it, its probably spam... or worse, the RIAA in disguise!
P.S. Trent, more songs in Rock Band, PLEASE!!!!!- mercy666, on 04/24/2008, -2/+10start a spam email account. Done.
- DrSpud, on 04/24/2008, -0/+2Mailinator. It's your friend.
- shinyhappydan, on 04/24/2008, -1/+1What is with the email address requirement? Seems unnecessary. I mean I don't think he'll spam it.. but why the requirement, Trent?
- mac734, on 04/24/2008, -0/+1"Trent, more songs in Rock Band, PLEASE!!!!!"
cough cough tool cough...
- OfNumbers, on 04/24/2008, -64/+4I love opening Digg and knowing I will see all of the below:
NIN posts,
Mac posts,
GTA posts,
Huffingtonpost posts,
APOD posts,
"Six/Seven/Five ways to.." posts,
and to top it off,
the ever exciting google or ubuntu tradeoff for the win post.
Okay, so a lot of people here seem to be insane about NIN. This only shows me one thing by denomination of the demographics: Digg users are almost entirely under 21 years old. What about the rest of us who are old enough to know that Trent Reznor is about as real of an artist as 50 cent? ***** us, that's what...- svensko, on 04/24/2008, -11/+3Sorry but I can't picture why anyone over 21 would have a Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas avatar so I'm going to assume you are also under 21.
- svensko, on 04/24/2008, -6/+8There is nothing wrong with liking NIN and being >=21. People on Digg suddenly like NIN for the wrong reasons though.
- oblique63, on 04/24/2008, -0/+2RIAA APOLOGIST!!!!
*grabs torch and pitchfork* - Verdanic, on 04/24/2008, -0/+3If anything, they're beginning to like it for what today stands as a very respectable and important reason - the stance on modern technologies and practices of the artist in recording and distribution. I have to say, I probably would not appreciate NIN quite as much as I do if not for their relatively recent shift away from record labels and disgusting organizations such as, well, the RIAA.
- oblique63, on 04/24/2008, -0/+2RIAA APOLOGIST!!!!
- masterofgrond, on 04/24/2008, -0/+37I find your insinuation that that anyone over the age of 21 cannot enjoy NIN both incorrect and also stupid. The comparison Trent to 50 Cent is hilarious in its ridiculousness. I'm not asking you to like NIN, many people I know don't, after all. Nevertheless, he has a sincere desire to change how things are done in the music industry and has influenced many other musicians, and that would be enough to garner my respect, even if I didn't enjoy his music.
- Grimee, on 04/24/2008, -1/+27Uh... are you stupid? I'm 34 and have been a NIN fan since highschool because Trent is one talented mofo. And 50 Cent? These two aren't even in the same league... that's like comparing U2 to the Backstreet Boys. You obviously have no ***** idea what you're talking about. Do your research on Trent. You might actually learn something...
- Pake, on 04/24/2008, -0/+30*****, I'd be surprised if most people under 18 even know who NIN is today with all that crap music you hear on the radio today. So that leaves me to conclude most of NIN's fans are >18.
- danwallace, on 04/24/2008, -0/+9*****, but my license says I'm 25!
- oblique63, on 04/24/2008, -0/+3woah, woah, woah, woah woah.......
did digg stop having xkcd posts???
cause usually, those are kinda hard to miss around here... - SquigglyP, on 04/24/2008, -0/+5I'm 30. I would be interested in hearing what your idea of what 'good' music is. NIN, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Portishead, The Gathering, Foo Fighters, Coheed & Cambria, System of a Down... these bands have pushed music in so many different directions over the last decade or two that they are redefining the rules - what is 'radio friendly', experimenting with sound and taking 'pop' music places it's never been. These are good bands, all, tho everyone will have their preferences. You can't deny their status as paradigm-shifting artists.
- slutjammer, on 04/24/2008, -0/+8I'm pretty sure johnny cash was over 21 when he covered trent, you ***** idiot.
- nova2wl, on 04/24/2008, -0/+5"I'm pretty sure johnny cash was over 21 when he covered trent, you ***** idiot."
Quoted for truth.
As other people have said...NIN's fanbase is mostly people 21+. Do you remember the 90's? Its not like NIN is some new artist. - mac734, on 04/24/2008, -0/+3Can we say Pretty Hate Machine? I had that ***** on cassette!
- ElBeh, on 04/24/2008, -32/+4Someone mirror it quick. I don't entirely trust the NIN servers despite this being smaller than Ghosts I-IV.
- jedinate, on 04/24/2008, -0/+17I don't think it's an issue, my download was literally instantaneous.
- Thefascist, on 04/24/2008, -39/+3yeah, very amazing, I don't want to put my email into anything.
- Nyuura, on 04/24/2008, -1/+11trent isn't gonna do anything to you . he won't bite . hes just gonna keep giving out gifts like these to people who care .
- seventoes, on 04/24/2008, -1/+7Yet you have an account here.. hmm..
- mrshickadance9, on 04/24/2008, -1/+1Your loss.
- soot, on 04/24/2008, -3/+82I'm not really a huge NIN fan, I've got a couple of albums; but I really admire the way he's making the most of the internet as a channel to share his work with his listeners. Distribution is one thing, but its really cool to see him thinking outside the box and doing something that doesn't even have to fall in line with the traditional route of producing and packaging works together into a collection. Its just like, "Bang, here's my new song, what do you think?"
I'd like to see more of the artists I listen to do that kind of thing, even if its with B-Sides, demo recordings, whatever. Just find some efficient way or service to host whatever left-overs or new material they want to put out and let us hear it.- CynicSight, on 04/24/2008, -0/+21Aye, he cuts the ***** and delivers... Thanks, Trent.
- AustinMeoang, on 04/24/2008, -2/+4I'm a HUGE NIN fan, and I enjoy all of the music he's made, but the thing is, while this new music he's making is still very good, it's not as incredible as his earlier music. The Downward Spiral, and The Fragile were incredible works of art with so much meaning in them you could listen to them over and over and it would never get old. With this new stuff, it's still really good music, it's just not as incredible and mind blowing as his older stuff.
- CynicSight, on 04/24/2008, -1/+2No, they aren't as great... But look at it this way, it could be much worse... He could've gone the "Metallica/Linkin Park" route and completely changed his sound to suckage.
- Melophobic, on 04/24/2008, -5/+5Very nice song!

- mattmy, on 04/24/2008, -6/+1no, that song does not rock i disagree
- fluoxetine, on 04/24/2008, -32/+2How is it that every single geek here on digg loves NIN!? Chuck Norris is one thing but c'mon.
- xenuxenuts, on 04/24/2008, -1/+3Personally, I don't like Chuck Norris. I guess he's like a rick roll. Cheesy as hell. As far as NIN goes, you're right, it's huge among geeks and has been for since at least the mid 90s. I still remember being introduced to PHM shortly after it came out. We were driving to a party about 40 miles away when the driver announced he had just ate 3 hits of acid. Been listening ever since.
- texpundit, on 04/24/2008, -0/+2Mid 90s? I saw NIN on tour in 1989, right after Pretty Hate Machine came out.
- xenuxenuts, on 04/24/2008, -0/+1I didn't know many other geeks until the mid 90s, so I didn't want to assume.

- MrSpontaneous, on 04/24/2008, -0/+2That would be hard for Trent to do given that those are songs "owned" by the labels. If you want a DRM free experience, try Amazon MP3.
- svensko, on 04/24/2008, -2/+3I don't mean THOSE songs, just that style... They seem to actually be experimental, especially for the late 80s and early 90s... The new song just sounds like something he farted out in 30 minutes while he was bored.
- jbarket, on 04/24/2008, -2/+2How about something hard enough that it can't be downgraded into overplayed garbage?
Another Gave Up would be a better choice. - twiztidsinz, on 04/24/2008, -0/+4Do you like anything that's NOT played on the radio? Or are you just a radio groupie?
He's got plenty of works that weren't on the radio- coyote1284, on 04/24/2008, -0/+3Well, how good can it be if Clear Channel doesn't play it? /sarcasm

- shoopdawoop, on 04/24/2008, -5/+3typical diggsheep: ***** you, *****. Trent is showing the RIAA the error of their ways and paving the path for the new distribution model. He shows how much he cares for his music and his fans with yet another precious gift. Oooh I just want to play this mp3, get depressed and nestle his balls in my mouth.
- seventoes, on 04/24/2008, -2/+4The middle of that comment was great. Leave off the ends and you would get dugg up.
- coyote1284, on 04/24/2008, -0/+4Arguing with yourself is one of the signs of dementia. You may want to seek a psychBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
- mac734, on 04/24/2008, -1/+2***** lol. I never look at people's handles. good eye
- coyote1284, on 04/24/2008, -1/+1Oh, shoot, I dugg you up because I read that as the reason is to figuratively flip-off the RIAA. What you meant is that no one is paying for his music. Silly me.
- stonklit, on 04/24/2008, -2/+13What's interesting is the album art embedded in the ID3 tags.
http://i26.tinypic.com/1zx9hzp.gif- bcaylor, on 04/24/2008, -1/+11This may be a stab in the dark...but 5 squares...May 5...5/5....I dunno
- stonklit, on 04/24/2008, -1/+2Dunno!
I stumbled upon it by chance. Loaded it up in winamp, figured it was just a new app icon or something. Then switched skins, saw the same design in an "album art" window.
I don't think there's any meaning behind it - I just enjoy seeing new album art ;)- bcaylor, on 04/24/2008, -1/+0I agree.

- Culyt, on 04/24/2008, -0/+5Its the super rare L-Shaped-Square piece, Trent Renzor is truly a Tetris god.

- kevintracy, on 04/24/2008, -13/+2Blah, I heard this on the radio earlier today. The quality of the mp3 doesn't compare.
- Fratz, on 04/24/2008, -0/+8Your radio station sounds better than a 257kbps mp3? Maybe you need better headphones/speakers/mp3 player/ears.

- svensko, on 04/24/2008, -13/+4Everyone here please go purchase The Fragile Disc 1 and Disc 2 and Pretty Hate Machine so you can have an actual reason to respect NIN. This is such trash compared to the stuff he was pumping out 20 years ago.
- jbarket, on 04/24/2008, -3/+4Pretty Hate Machine was released on October 20, 1989.
The only work NIN was doing 20 years ago was Purest Feeling, which, if you haven't listened to it, actually contains an upbeat... almost jazzy track. It's garbage I can appreciate it... Twist becoming Ringfinger and such... but it's still garbage.
Artists evolve. NIN went from pop industrial to pure ***** rage between the first actual album and the second EP. Why should you expect it to stay the same?- svensko, on 04/24/2008, -3/+2Sheesh I didn't mean a literal 20 years ago.

- kiesow567, on 04/24/2008, -3/+37revolutionizing the music industry...one song at a time
- jaydoj, on 04/24/2008, -0/+3Thank you for shopping at NIN, where quality and the fans are number one. :)
- thespiff, on 04/24/2008, -0/+2More like bankrupting the music industry 1 song at a time. He's not making money here...
- lolcollege, on 04/24/2008, -4/+1Come on now. I think Radiohead deserves the credit here.
- jaydoj, on 04/25/2008, -0/+2except they went right back to a major label.
- Bacontastic, on 04/24/2008, -14/+2This would excite me if I was at all a NiN fan.
- VinnieDaMac, on 04/24/2008, -3/+6Pretty good song.
- chrisOrbit, on 04/24/2008, -2/+15Comments on the mp3 : Go to www.nin.com May 5
- killerstache, on 04/24/2008, -0/+3new album!
- oblique63, on 04/24/2008, -0/+5Awesome... I didnt know Trent celebrated Cinco De Mayo!
- davidjunit, on 04/24/2008, -1/+76Either Reznor has one helluva server or digg hasn't affected it yet because I swear I just downloaded 8MB in 2 seconds.
- diagonalfish, on 04/24/2008, -0/+14I think he probably learned a lot from the Ghosts mess where his servers got a royal pounding :)
- prometheanspark, on 04/24/2008, -3/+3I noticed that too, at first I thought "Wow, done already, must be low quality..." then saw it was 8 megs. Dang.
Gotta wonder what's going to happen with the list of email addresses this is going to generate though.- jinxplayer, on 04/24/2008, -1/+3I wonder more about ignorant comments such as that, doing no good for anyone.
- shinyhappydan, on 04/24/2008, -1/+2Wondering what someone might do with a huge list of email addresses is ignorant? Are you serious? It's not like he said they were all going to get signed up to animal porn..

- cjnkns, on 04/24/2008, -2/+8NiN is great! Thanks Trent!
- FaithclubDotNet, on 04/24/2008, -2/+8Trent could be a music label if he wanted to help out indie bands.
- stroudj, on 04/24/2008, -0/+4Does Nothing Records ring a bell?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nothing_Records- mardraum, on 04/24/2008, -0/+2yes, for cocking up and not distributing Autechre's Chiastic Slide in the 'States. I'm not bitter...
- AustinMeoang, on 04/24/2008, -1/+1Isn't Nothing Records dead though?
- pirana0, on 04/24/2008, -0/+4...I just went from a quick article about Nothing Records to an hour of reading about the Manson family murders. Gotta love Wikipedia.

too much spam in the "fake" dodgeit.com account - olbap, on 04/24/2008, -19/+3Too bad I'm no longer interested in NIN much anymore. I got tired of Trent's dark lyrics after Downward Spiral debuted at #1. When that happens, the likes of Trent and Billy Corgan's endless whining ranting just gets old. If NIN is doing anything instrumental these days, I Might check it out. At the very least, I got to see NIN when they were quite young as a group...at Los Angeles' once famous goth snob club, Helter Skelter. Trent hung off a fence the entire time singing, Was quite intense!!!
- tmyprod, on 04/24/2008, -1/+6too bad, your missing out. Give Year Zero a spin.
- cybergoon, on 04/24/2008, -0/+3Dude he's like 42.
- sgtpppr, on 04/24/2008, -0/+3To sum your post up: "I don't like anything once it gets popular." Downward Spiral is not nearly as dark as Broken if you consider the movie that was supposed to be released along with it.
- mechnoch, on 04/24/2008, -0/+2FYI, Nine Inch Nails recently released 32 all-instrumental tracks on Ghosts I-IV. ghosts.nin.com
- SquigglyP, on 04/24/2008, -0/+2The Frail album is not at all a "dark whiney rant" of an album. And I don't think I'd lump Reznor in with the same league of musicians as Corgan. The Pumpkins released one truely good album, and then a lot of highschool rock crap.
Check out ghosts. Check out the Frail album, as the singles released from that album didn't even scratch the surface of the themes and depth in that album. Better than Downward Spiral.
- CynicSight, on 04/24/2008, -3/+4It's quite a catchy tune. I like it.
- baltar2008, on 04/24/2008, -2/+2This track is pretty good.
- 4element, on 04/24/2008, -2/+8Ghosts and now this, I have the up most respect for NIN.
Keep up the good work.- ultimathule, on 04/24/2008, -0/+12utmost..

- ultimathule, on 04/24/2008, -0/+12utmost..
- curtis2, on 04/24/2008, -1/+14They need to get this song in rock band. Playing this song on the drums would be so much fun.
- leethemanpowell, on 04/24/2008, -1/+18Halo 27: May 5th.
- roflomg, on 04/24/2008, -13/+2I thought the Halo series was pretty much dead at this point...no?
- MinustheBear, on 04/24/2008, -0/+13The Halo label is the chronology of NIN releases.
- tooloney, on 04/24/2008, -1/+4Nope, Ghosts is labeled as halo 26.
- roflomg, on 04/24/2008, -13/+2I thought the Halo series was pretty much dead at this point...no?
- redsoxmb545, on 04/24/2008, -1/+6Is this a stand-alone single or is it part of a future new album?
If there's a new album in the works already, that's freakin' ridiculous. Ghosts was just released.
I can't wait to see NIN this August. There's been so much new stuff since I saw them on the With Teeth tour in 2006.- jinxplayer, on 04/24/2008, -0/+2Reznor doesnt do standalone singles, his usual record release plan is release, tour/remix, keep working on other stuff.
- Deaconstructed, on 04/24/2008, -0/+2NIN is freaking AWESOME live... I can't wait to see them again.
Check me out...pretty sure that was my scrawny arm in the way: http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/108ffee4e ... - postalblowfish7, on 04/24/2008, -0/+1Doesn't do stand alone singles? Remember The Perfect Drug?
I really really really hope this is the lead off single from another full length - though I'll take an EP too ;P

good to see Trent is moving even closer to straight pop music. - papipablo, on 04/24/2008, -8/+2People still pay for music?
- MinustheBear, on 04/24/2008, -1/+4People still work for free?
- cybergoon, on 04/24/2008, -1/+22How can the music industry keep up. This guy changes the rulebook every couple of weeks. Go Trent, NIN FTW!
- smash20, on 04/24/2008, -8/+3 Mr. Miyagi: NIN-san, you must follow direction! You raku disciprine!
NIN: Nah-uh, we don't raku disciprine! - roflomg, on 04/24/2008, -2/+6Great track, not particularly awesome, but pretty darn good. I think it's a good combo of both old and new sounds.
- swaltuo, on 04/24/2008, -1/+1Trent, you're the man! I never really listened to NIN much before the Ghost I-IV release but with you being on top of the digital thing I have gone and downloaded a few of your albums of iTunes! Keep up the awesome work, and keep throwing free singles at us, much appreciated!
