- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -3/+82I'm not really a huge NIN fan, I've got a couple of albums; but I really admire the way he's making the most of the internet as a channel to share his work with his listeners. Distribution is one thing, but its really cool to see him thinking outside the box and doing something that doesn't even have to fall in line with the traditional route of producing and packaging works together into a collection. Its just like, "Bang, here's my new song, what do you think?"
I'd like to see more of the artists I listen to do that kind of thing, even if its with B-Sides, demo recordings, whatever. The comparison Trent to 50 Cent is hilarious in its ridiculousness. I'm not asking you to like NIN, many people I know don't, after all. Nevertheless, he has a sincere desire to change how things are done in the music industry and has influenced many other musicians, and that would be enough to garner my respect, even if I didn't enjoy his music.

It also sounds like it could be a somewhat sarcastic song about Trent leaving the RIAA and calling his own shots.
