- Refluence, on 06/02/2009, -6/+46I'm so tired of hearing about Green Day, I want to poke my ear drums out with ballpoint pens.
Otherwise, entertaining, if not my favorites. - Coffeedemon, on 06/02/2009, -4/+42I think thats why it said OUR and not YOUR.
- amcnair, on 06/02/2009, -3/+40Speaking of band names, do you know how Nickelback got their name? Their ability to come up with a band name rivaled their ability to write quality music, so they offered a prostitute a nickel if she could come up with a good name. She listened to their music and said, "You suck! Now here's your nickel back."
Sadly, the rest is history. - nwscott7, on 06/02/2009, -20/+53those are not my 15 favorite bands. how dare you speak for me, title.
- mywhitenoise, on 06/02/2009, -3/+27little pig, little pig, let me in!
NOT BY THE HAIR OF MY CHINNY CHIN CHIN! - indubitably, on 06/02/2009, -0/+22I would like to know the origin of the band name "Dave Matthews Band".
- TevinC, on 06/02/2009, -0/+21The Killers wasn't the "brand of bass drum" in the Crystal video. It was the name of the band... Wow, has this guy never seen a band do that before?
- leprix, on 06/02/2009, -14/+32Who the ***** is Green Jellӱ? Why are they on this list? I've at least heard of the other ones.
- bramcantwatch, on 06/02/2009, -5/+22Oh my gosh - my musical tastes were not represented in this article. Should I take time out of my day to try and impress other people on a social media website by insinuating that my tastes are superior to those of the author? Maybe I should write a two to three paragraph comment about how some of these bands are sell-outs. Maybe I will impress someone else if I say that my favorite bands are actually "Godspeed you Black Emperor" or one of Will Oldham's random side projects. I swear guys, I don't need attention, I'm not insecure and I'm not a douche bag. Right?
- Jektal, on 06/02/2009, -1/+16Theirs.
- Llanowar, on 06/02/2009, -0/+14No, they said in some parts of the worlds their following rivals Radiohead.
And, guess what, it does.
I don't believe they're very big in the US, but in Europe they're huge. - thefreehunter, on 06/02/2009, -1/+15If you notice, it says "our favorite bands". Not your favorite bands. Ours, as in theirs. And not their 15 favorite bands, but 15 of their favorite bands.
- cawpin, on 06/02/2009, -1/+14Um, Muse is a good band. They put on a great live show.
- nudedos, on 06/02/2009, -2/+14Who's favorite bands?
- ducttape36, on 06/02/2009, -3/+15once upon a 90s, some ***** hippy named dave wanted to score with girls. he heard that by playing in a band he could achieve this. so he wrote a bunch of ***** music which lacked any imagination and creativity and formed a band. since their music was made with no imagination or creativity, they decided to name their band using the same formula. this also ensured dave would be able to use his band as a pick-up line. (hey baby, its your lucky night cause im dave matthews. you may have heard of my band, dave matthews band. yeah thats me. dave ***** matthews. drop trough and lets do this.)
the end. - tattoojoo, on 06/02/2009, -5/+16Dugg because some of these are my favorite bands (The Shins, Band of Horses, Death Cab For Cutie, MGMT)
- melonhedd, on 06/02/2009, -1/+11Linkin Park isn't anyone's favorite band.
- zzzpoohzzz, on 06/02/2009, -1/+10am i really that old for knowing who they are? 25?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDStTjeBeWk - Coffeedemon, on 06/02/2009, -1/+10Well, Digg didn't write the article... according to the link sloshspot.com did (I don't care for most of the bands and had nothing to do with the article).
Hate to break it to you but not everyone on Digg (or elsewhere) shares your taste in bands.
Now bury me for being both pedantic and daring not to bow to Radiohead and NIN. - nwscott7, on 06/02/2009, -0/+8well done.
- evilregis, on 06/02/2009, -1/+9Hence "our" and not "your"... wow.
- misterrock, on 06/02/2009, -15/+23too bad 311 is ***** lame.
- deadasdisco, on 06/02/2009, -1/+8too bad nickelback is quite possibly the worst part of planet earth.
- otbeverly, on 06/02/2009, -0/+7No, as long as you don't feel the need to build your indie cred by using the word at every opportunity.
Indie "Band X" is so indie they didn't even have to indie the indie. - Tyrghast, on 06/02/2009, -1/+7Yeah Yeah Yeahs ftfw
- inactive, on 06/02/2009, -10/+16And now 311 is code for "***** Alt. Rock-Reggae-Rap-Metal" band.
- h0msar, on 06/02/2009, -0/+6*****. Muse. Do you not know them or not like them? Because I've yet to meet someone who has heard of Muse and not liked them.
- asshopo, on 06/02/2009, -3/+9Maynard James Keenan and Danny Carey from Tool were in that band for a bit. That's who it is.
- diggan8, on 06/02/2009, -0/+5"***** Your Yankee Blue Jeans"
- jrackow, on 06/02/2009, -0/+5Mikey had a facial scar and Bobby was a racist.
- amcnair, on 06/02/2009, -0/+5I think the proper response to that question would be "Their's."
/reverse grammar nazi - CrackyJSquirrel, on 06/02/2009, -1/+5None of those are my favorite bands.....
- zzzpoohzzz, on 06/02/2009, -0/+4glad i continued to read even after green day was the first on the list...
- insertAliasHere, on 06/02/2009, -0/+4I've listened to them. I don't particularly dislike them, but for me it was a total "meh."
- AdmiralAcbar, on 06/02/2009, -0/+4They used to be alright. Then popularity happened.
Boulevard of Broken Dreams gets pretty annoying after the 50 000th play on the radio... - Jektal, on 06/02/2009, -1/+5CHEW-BACCA!
- jrackow, on 06/02/2009, -0/+4I'm thinking they're pretty big in the U.S. I've loved them for years.
- Atario, on 06/02/2009, -0/+4You forgot the part where it totally worked.
- CaptHuggyFace, on 06/02/2009, -0/+4What exactly is wrong with Death Cab or Muse?
- NeonDistraction, on 06/02/2009, -0/+4No, only Danny Carey was in the band. Maynard did do guest vocals on "Three Little Pigs" (he sing's the line "Not by the hair of my chiny-chin-chin") but he wasn't part of the band.
- tadsexington69, on 06/02/2009, -0/+3They were all in love with dying, they were doing it in Texas.
- Bloodwine, on 06/02/2009, -0/+3Amon Amarth is named after the Sindarin name for Mount Doom ("mountain of fate") in J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings.
- danlowlite, on 06/02/2009, -0/+3Hey, I like GY!BE. And I laughed at the joke about it in Pineapple Express.
- tattoojoo, on 06/02/2009, -1/+4you need to get out more...
- deadasdisco, on 06/02/2009, -1/+4there's actually a lot of good bands in this list.
