- Shaggy3, on 12/16/2008, -4/+134Someone get this man a Dr. Pepper.
- kiubo, on 12/16/2008, -25/+80Woah. Talk about the word "genius" being thrown around lightly. Axl Rosa is NOT a genius. Chinese Democracy is god awful by the way.
- cerealjynx, on 12/16/2008, -3/+49Galaxy News Radio?
- moriarty23, on 12/16/2008, -4/+46I thought that was a picture of Ray Charles.
- CraveEscobar, on 12/16/2008, -6/+36i miss the "old guns"
- acehorne, on 12/16/2008, -0/+28What a minute. When did MTV get into the music business?
- jsdratm, on 12/16/2008, -1/+25Hello Chillllldren, this is Three Dog *YAOWWWW*
- chadwalters23, on 12/16/2008, -4/+23Axl Rosa. Good stripper name.
- SpectralSounds, on 12/16/2008, -6/+24"After being pulled out of the audience by members of the crew, Rose said: "Well, thanks to the lame-ass security, I'm going home!", slammed his microphone on the ground and left the stage."
I'll admit that he is a big *****, combined with a large amount of whiny little bitch. It's Axls fault Guns and Roses went to *****. People can only put up with narcissistic doucehbags for so long.
Appetite for Destruction is still a great album though. - lpferris, on 12/16/2008, -4/+22How about a direct link to the post instead of MTV blogspam?
http://www.mygnrforum.com/index.php?showtopic=1333 ... - franklymister, on 12/16/2008, -1/+15Best review of Chinese Democracy I've read: http://www.avclub.com/content/feature/chuck_kloste ...
- starslinger72, on 12/16/2008, -1/+13dugg for poopyhead
- dudefaceguyman, on 12/16/2008, -1/+12The Album is only god awful if you go into listening it expecting an Appetite sound.
Once I started looking at this as some new band I realized it's really an incredible Album. Imagine if some new band did this as their debut? People would go ape *****. - flashboy131, on 12/16/2008, -3/+12Am I the only one who thinks Chinese Democracy isn't that bad? Sure it's not the old GNR, but I admire the fact Axl stuck with it and produced his vision. (maybe admire is too strong)
- cawpin, on 12/16/2008, -5/+13It is not a terrible album at all. It is a very good album.
- cawpin, on 12/16/2008, -2/+10Agreed, and Chinese Democracy is good as well if you haven't heard it. I'm still listening to it.
- bearcat8543, on 12/16/2008, -2/+10snakes n barrels
- inactive, on 12/16/2008, -2/+9Unfortunately, so is GNR.
- inactive, on 12/16/2008, -0/+7I liked it, a lot.
I dont really care what the groupthink opinion is on it, I enjoyed most of the songs. I am glad GnR is back, and hope they make more albums. - bladebronson, on 12/16/2008, -1/+8I'm a non-alcoholic Internet engineer from the bay area. HUGE Axl fan. :)
- EddyRX10, on 12/16/2008, -0/+6Well said, as a huge guns fan I'm really dissapointed with all the digg hate on this one.
I usually agree with fellow diggers.
Death Magnetic is ***** (as are Metallica in general now), I hate Kanye West, Soulja Boy is a bellend etc
But Chinese Democracy is a brilliant album.
Call me biased because I'm a Guns fan
but I also used to fap to Metallica...up until the black album anyway.
/rant - harajukukei, on 12/16/2008, -0/+6Anyone who thinks the new album is bad is not a real guns n' roses fan. You are Appetite fans. If you thought Appetite was better than UYI, you probably don't/won't like Chinese Democracy. If, however, you do prefer UYI, you will love Chinese Democracy, especially the songs "Sorry" and "This I Love" (which i believe is the best song written since coma and if you don't know what coma is, you have no business commenting on this subject).
- warriorscot, on 12/17/2008, -0/+6I liked it. I wasn't a huge guns and roses fan before I listened to it. Just like every other guns and roses album I've listened to some of it was good some of it wasn't as good. I still enjoyed it and if you don't like it go listen to the old albums.
- enantiodromia, on 12/16/2008, -0/+5I just killed Maddog. And everyone else in the GNR building. It was easy, and fun.
/me makes the rail way sound - inactive, on 12/16/2008, -2/+7We sure have lowered the bar for the word "genius" in this age.
- BedPost, on 12/16/2008, -0/+5Goddamn you 101
- santiago1, on 12/16/2008, -7/+11 The dude is NOT a genius! An eccentric, egotistical *****, but not a genius by far.
Think: a male version of Paris Hilton! - cdominus, on 12/16/2008, -15/+19Axl Rose has fans?
- jcroweall7, on 12/17/2008, -0/+4Actually, I prefer Chinese Democracy to either UYI (and Appetite best)... It's more focused and consistent than the UYI albums, which is why I prefer it.
- ifruit, on 12/16/2008, -0/+4Slash? ....is that you?
- douglasr007, on 12/16/2008, -0/+4That's Jimmy Buffet
- douglasr007, on 12/16/2008, -0/+4I don't want to set the world on fiiiirrrrreeeeeee
- FXNGLAS, on 12/16/2008, -4/+8They aren't what they used to be. Let them die.
- Gizmort, on 12/16/2008, -1/+5zzzzzzzz
- Nick217, on 12/16/2008, -5/+9i really want to see the video for "Better," which the article states is coming out "any day now." get ready diggers!
- inactive, on 12/16/2008, -6/+10He is no genius. Just an Heroin Addict
- inactive, on 12/16/2008, -0/+4Agreed. This I Love is my favorite song on the album.
The ending of Coma is some of the best singing Axl has ever done. - ASfinkterSezWut, on 12/16/2008, -1/+5If ever there were a single comment that deserved to stand alone in the midst of a bury-brigade; this sir, would be it.
- MHall, on 12/16/2008, -5/+9Open letters are so yesterday
- RodgerE1, on 12/16/2008, -0/+3Yeah they might want to change their name to NMTV.

- mattyboy555, on 12/16/2008, -1/+4My ears hurt.
- shiftkgb, on 12/16/2008, -0/+3Keep fighting the good fight children.
- skoles, on 12/16/2008, -7/+10The album really is terrible as a GnR album.
***** processing on his voice is obvious. Pick a melody to the song, some have 3 different ones at random. 14 years and you couldn't find a live orchestra and had to rely on a synth for your "November Rain" ballads?
Sometimes you only need guitars, bass and drums for a good album. You don't need to throw every instrument in the studio in there. - frankenlinks, on 12/16/2008, -2/+5It really is hard to trust the word of Axl. The one that would hit Kurt Cobain for merely giggling.
- creoderiot, on 12/16/2008, -3/+6good interview with EODM front man about opening for GNR
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7PE5wIE4GM - enantiodromia, on 12/16/2008, -1/+4that's what artists who used to be big 20 years go do these days when their pitiful albums fail to sell like they used to; blame piracy.
- jjshabadoo, on 12/16/2008, -8/+11Get off the hate wagon you little punks.
It's not 1987 anymore, Appetite has been done already. Slash is where he should be; in Axl's ass, making VR albums. Oh snap!, not anymore cuz their label dropped them for sucking so bad.
CD is a pretty good album, listen to it instead of passing on other whiny opinions of those who were probably 2 years old when AfD came out. - gregdigg, on 12/16/2008, -2/+5So that means it's not good if you have heard it?
