DC showed early market penetration, as championed by Thomas Edison, but AC (the method of distributing electrical power to this day), developed by Nikola Tesla, and backed by George Westinghouse, quickly grew in prominence, and soon outstripped DC as the favored means of transmitting electrical power. - inactive, on 10/01/2008, -4/+38Dugg for AVGN

- inactive, on 10/01/2008, -0/+10This is a Cinemassacre production, not an AVGN one.
- sens, on 10/01/2008, -1/+10Right. Of course he has. Now go ***** yourself.
I was at the Toronto Sars concert a couple of years ago, where people booed and threw water bottles and muffins at Justin Timberlake.
A few acts later, just before the headlining Rolling Stones came out, AC/DC marched out and kicked the ass of 500,000 people who were in attendance. Half a million people. Little kids were banging their heads. Grandmothers were chanting along to Dirty Deeds.
People still talk about that show years later, and how they completely stole it from the Stones. By the time the Stones came out, the crowd had nothing left -- AC/DC had taken it all from them.
Best pure rock'n'roll band ever. - ATLien74, on 10/01/2008, -0/+8Obviously, you've never seen them live! AC/DC is one of the best Live bands ever! They only sound unoriginal to you because everybody copied them!
- ATLien74, on 10/01/2008, -1/+7AC/DC put the balls in Rock 'n' Roll.... BIG BALLS!
- FreeTalkLIve, on 10/01/2008, -0/+6AC/DC just ***** ROCKS!
When one of their songs is on the radio, someone always says "Turn it up!" - Vodd9, on 10/01/2008, -3/+8I now have a gigantic urge do listen to some AC/DC.
- ATLien74, on 10/01/2008, -0/+5Maybe it's because they are about to drop their first new album in nearly a decade?
- TotalHalibut, on 10/01/2008, -1/+6Because it's not actually broken for everyone? Loaded just fine for me.
- renegadeafk, on 10/01/2008, -7/+12can't wait for black ice

- snobrder218, on 10/01/2008, -6/+8I think the title of this shouldn't be Angry Video Game Nerd...because that's his alter-ego for video games, not movies, we don't call him the AVGN when he does his other things. He's James Rolfe. it should be "James Rolfe (AKA: AVGN) Chronoligically Confused about AC/DC"
- DarthShaun, on 10/02/2008, -0/+2What is with the mass amount of ***** comments to this story? I think this is a simple case of real-life angry video game nerds upset about their image being smeared, much like the barbecue sauce on their faces.
- tokyomonster, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2ENGLISH MOTHER *****, DO YOU SPEAK IT?!
- beautifulbeast, on 10/01/2008, -1/+3He's the Angry Nintendo Nerd.

- Narrwald, on 10/01/2008, -0/+1Server's back up, then. A submission definitely shouldn't be getting dozens Diggs when the web page is down and no mirror has been posted.
- ATLien74, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1"but its going to be, for all intents and purposes, the same album they've been making for 30 some-odd years. "
...and that's perfectly alright with me. If AC/DC started sounding like Fall Out Boy I'd be PISSED OFF!!! - ATLien74, on 10/07/2008, -0/+1I've seen Tool and Dream Theater and you're really comparing two completely different things. Apparently shifting time signatures, more complex rhythms, and tempo changes is what you equate with being "better". Well that is not what AC/DC is about. They are about kicking ass and taking names in the most simplest way possible. They are about drinking, *****, and rocking. I like Tool a lot, don't get me wrong, they are an awesome band... but it would be a lot more fun to party with ACDC than sitting around pondering existence with Maynard.
- Frixionburne, on 10/03/2008, -0/+1Tool, Dream Theater, Sigur Ros, Muse.... have you ever seen these guys in concert? Not only do they play their instruments with more prowess, but they have MUCH better live shows. These band also carry VERY little in commonalities with AC/DC. I think I used the word "change" incorrectly originally, the word i was looking for was "evolve". Great bands get better, thus evolving their sound into a usually more complex and unified being. AC/DC has so much success because of the oddball headbangers who never matured past highschool.
- mllawso, on 10/01/2008, -1/+2Everyone should post every how many diggs the article is at, and whether they can get to the page or not; just to be sure.

- inactive, on 10/01/2008, -2/+1Well I saw it about 17 hours ago from an RSS feed. I can't help it if I just saw it on the FP and decided to digg it. Your conspiracy is whack.
- frostbyt, on 10/01/2008, -3/+1Toronto...
That explains everything. - york2600, on 10/01/2008, -3/+1I'm still trying to figure out how not changing your music style in 30 years is a positive thing. You can only do so many variations of your first album before you bore everyone to death. Progressing your music is natural and occurs with all real musicians. Making the same album over and over again is what you do when you realize your formula works and you're milking it for money. Notice that 98 degrees and Backstreet boys don't change much between albums.
- geneusutwerk, on 10/01/2008, -3/+1Thats the Magic of Digg
