Right. Just have his manager call the three people that were actually watching and tell them to keep it on the low-down. - SleepingOrange, on 10/11/2007, -7/+185What's the point of lip syncing when even the recording sounds terrible.
- SocialPoison, on 10/11/2007, -8/+132on the "down-low"
cracker. - Zapple, on 10/11/2007, -5/+127Guys guys, he was just trying to figure out where everyone was.
- gmprunner, on 10/11/2007, -6/+109""G-Unit member Tony Yayo decided the best way to help the sinking song was to scream expletives into the microphone."
So, in other words, he kept singing the song? - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -7/+97Because we all know that 50 Cent was full of talent anyways. He sounds like a mentally retarded version of that T-Rex from Meet the Robinsons.
Youtube version: http://youtube.com/watch?v=rIulzpN1G34 - dmightx, on 09/21/2008, -3/+61I hate 50 Cent, its actually amusing seeing this.
- DteK, on 10/11/2007, -4/+62haha
Would have been great if he busted into a ho-down ala Ashley Simpson - mtwoar, on 10/11/2007, -8/+55He is a few cents short of a dollar.
*slaps knee* - tastypastry, on 10/11/2007, -35/+82I'm sure there are a lot of diggers out there that care so much about 50 cent.
Buried as lame. - SigmaDraconis, on 10/11/2007, -4/+46G-G-G-G-G-G-Girl you know it's- Girl you know it's- Girl you know it's- Girl you know it's- Girl you know it's...

- vlaz0r, on 10/11/2007, -6/+39what a douche
- drmobutu, on 10/11/2007, -12/+44That's cuz lyp-syncin' is dope...50 cent STILL gets paid, and he don't even have to strain his voice...how badass is that? Actually rapping your song is a sign that you ain't really a player...REAL rappers get paid to NOT rap.
Now ALL the young rappers are gonna be doin' it. - trer, on 10/11/2007, -4/+34What's funnier is that his manly gangster voice is actually a product of turning up the "Thug" setting on the Studio Magic machine. His real voice is a high pitch squeak a la Mike Tyson.
- GTPilot, on 10/11/2007, -2/+32like you can't tell most pop artists lip sync on live shows anyway when the audio sounds studio quality.
- acdcfanbill, on 10/11/2007, -3/+28Maybe I'm in the minority, but who ever though all these pop artists can run around the stage, or do dance moves or other crazy stuff (lowered from a platform was it) all while singing perfectly and never being out of breath.
- TheTaoOfBill, on 10/11/2007, -6/+30HOW EMBARRASSING!!!!
- SenorCardgage74, on 10/11/2007, -5/+25"Keep it on the lowdown"
"Downlow"
"No doubt" - alexforcefive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20He wasn't exactly screaming expletives. He said "what the *****? 50, what's up man?"
Which is pretty much the exact same reaction I'd have in that situation. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+20http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIulzpN1G34
- chicagodj, on 10/11/2007, -0/+19He would have to be an artist first.

Win. - Wolfie351, on 10/11/2007, -3/+21Is this news? If a performer is dancing around on stage, 99.9% of the time they are lip syncing or singing along to a background track. During a live concert, the typical pop performer only sings 3 or 4 songs, the rest is pre-recorded. None of them have the vocal chops to sing for 2 hours every night for days on end.
- cryptoki, on 02/01/2008, -4/+21lolz... 99% of rappers sound lousy live anyways compared to their recorded voices (which are all synthed out half the time)...
- Jagershot, on 10/11/2007, -2/+18No popular music requires talent these days, it's all about image and production. There are talented rappers out there, however, regardless of whether or not you like the genre.
- blowjustinup, on 10/11/2007, -1/+17How about the part in the beginning where he's taking off his jacket and the lyrics keep going and he's got his arms down at his side - Mic nowhere near his mouth? Explain that one?
GG. - MarkOfTheDead, on 10/11/2007, -1/+16what else to you expect from a guy who's surname is slang for the stuff snorted off of toilet seats and hooker's asses?
- GliTCH82, on 10/11/2007, -0/+15*smacks forehead*
- EvilJohn, on 10/11/2007, -6/+21"Bizarrely, 50 finished the shortened set with the words, "Vitamin Water." An apparent reference to a new business venture worth about $US100M."
Hey wait a minute.... didn't someone do this first?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wesley_Willis - akuseru, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14It kind of ruins the whole point of seeing the performer live. Would you spend anything on a ticket to a concert if you knew the artist wouldn't be singing his or her own songs? I definitely wouldn't!
- MackPrime, on 10/11/2007, -2/+16that is OUR WORD
- catalysis, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14Getting caught lip-synching used to be the end of people's careers. Now it's just expected in pop music.
- Yamaste, on 10/11/2007, -3/+17You know it's really not right to assume that just because you (and the majority of the digg community) do not watch BET, no one does. I happen to work at a restaurant with a mostly black staff, and every single one of them saw 50's performance and were talking about it before i had even read about it on digg. To assume that the entire population enjoys the same entertainment that we here in the digg (white, mid to upper class, geek) community do, is nothing short of ignorance. And while we may not appreciate certain types of media, we should still understand that there are a lot of people out there, many of whom we will never meet in our life times, who have much different tastes then us. All we can do is educate ourselves and others and try not to make assumptions.
Sorry about the preaching. - illegalamigo, on 10/11/2007, -5/+17Whether you like him or not, you can't deny that he has sold a lot of records. I don't exactly think he's aiming for the digg/geek demographic.
P.S. I think he sucks too! - ers35, on 10/11/2007, -9/+20Video:

- SnuKs, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12Ghostface would lyically rip him up.
- unusualbob, on 10/11/2007, -26/+37anyone who was watching that was doing so on stolen cable and doesnt have a phone.
- sfacets, on 10/11/2007, -2/+12Heh, Australians hate him too.
- CoCStudent, on 10/11/2007, -5/+15 cent sucks
- walkingdogs, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11Ummm NO. 99% of rappers actually rap at their shows, It's the hype man or DJ that finishes the lines to add the flair. The wrong hype man can ruin a performance but can be done well such as Spliff Star for Busta Rhymes. The hooks of the song is another thing as those are usually part of the record that get lip synched.
- ngmcs8203, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11Not really. More like Ashely Simpson. MV were lip syncing on albums, as well as everywhere else. The thing that gets me is that performers lip sync all the time and no one really cares unless something like this happens.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+14Whats even more sad is that you didn't know at the BET awards they all lip-sync.
- TheAcclaimed, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Best excuse ever.
- harusp3x, on 10/11/2007, -4/+13Damn, I thought he got his lip busted.
- hailxkill, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10This is hilarious. I was reading about the beef between Ghostface Killah and 50 cent recently and just thought, "I wish 50 cent would jsut go away." Well, there's one nail in the coffin.
- mccrusc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9Me too.
- ronaldinho, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9Hey if you are paid to be a singer or a rapper, lip syncing is unacceptable. It's your ***** job to sing or rap! People want to hear your voice and see how you perform. It's like a chef that doesn't cook.
To be fair I can accept maybe one or two songs lip-syncing during, say, a 3-hour concert since no one is perfect, but during an awards performance that is at best only 15 minutes long? Pathetic *****, he's worth less than his name suggests - pintomp3, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11correct use of terms "give me the lowdown" meaning break it down for me, explain to me. "keep it on the down-low" means keep it a secret. they mean two very different things.
