Hi, I'm Johan Marcus Guy, and i'm an independent sound producer. What many people don't understand is the by copying files and items, you're not stealing music-files once, but a plethora of times simultaneously. Think back to when Jesus made all of those fish to feed the poor of Israel. This deed may have seemed kind, but in reality the fish economy was probably ran astray for months.
Not so cool now, is it?
This is what's happening to music. Music used to be collectible, an expression of the holder's soul. With what, the LPs disappearing off of shelves in favor of digital media and the advent of this "Napster" p2p sharing service, it will only be a matter of months before the record industry, and ultimately the artists that wish only to make you happy, die.
Much like the giving tree, these artists bear fruits of labor, only for you to take them and prosper at their expense.
Now, I may not be a giving tree myself, but i'm certainly a weeping willow, as this issue tugs at my heart strings. Think of all the artists that are dying of diseases and improper nutrition as you listen to their songs, blissfully unaware of your destruction.
Think before you download.
Turn up the radio, blast the stereo, but don't steal from musicians,
