- qupman, on 10/05/2008, -0/+7So, on his world tour this guy only plays in truly sunny countries, being solar powered, right?
- hnazareth16, on 10/05/2008, -1/+6Whoa -- I wonder how long it takes to charge the batteries for the nighttime hours, because if it's a cloudy/rainy day, he's pretty much screwed.
- TurtugaBlanku, on 10/05/2008, -0/+4Hi! Turtuga Blanku here.
Thanks for all your DIGGs, your comments and thanks insaincain02 for putting up the article for DIGGs! Appreciated!
In answer to some questions: On a good and sunny day, the batteries can be used while loading during the day, because they are usually fully charged before 10:30 AM. And then there's more coming in then there's going out, so the batteries are able to power up the Green Machine during the evening hours as well.
On a cloudy day it will take a couple of hours more so that on a really dark day, they'll be full by 4:00 PM. That does not happen a lot here.
In less sunny countries, it's a bit more costly, because more solar plates should be installed. But you'll still be able to do the same! :^)
Thanks again for digging this story!
