- TetrisKid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I only paid $6.00. Most modern theaters have ATM-like self service ticket machines where you can just purchase a child's price ticket. Also these records mean nothing because of inflation.

Lucasfilm rep: "The tremendous effects of piracy have once again destroyed our ability to reap the full benefits of a world class movie production. We are therefore forced to fire the dude appearing in the anti-piracy public service announcement and his buddies. It is a sad day for everyone involved, especially our investment bankers." - afslip, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i got in for free, i know the manager at my local movie theater, its great to know people.
- jaredworm, on 10/31/2008, -0/+0Friggin Silver City, I contributed $9.95 :P (CDN)
- rookieone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Lol...and i contributed $6.50 to those $50 mil...im so proud!! :)
- kirk06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Get in free due to working at a theatre.
To the dishonest poster who buys a children's ticket: I know at my theatre, we watch for that sort of thing and kick the people out that do that. They are not welcome back into our theatre. If you want to get technical, you're actually stealing from the theatre and movie companies, just like how the MPAA is whining about piracy. Why don't you act your age next time you're at a theatre and buy an adult ticket. If you're too cheap to purchase it for the extra three or so dollars, by all means...leave. - jeff94, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Why's the mpaa whining?
whitesanjuro beat me to it ;). - rookieone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Lol fire the dude...but when you think about it...thos dudes are sopposed to be payed like while fliming the movie...not after it comes out...kinda ironic showing the "little people" rather than those big movie stars asking for the money.
- rookieone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"filming"
- Massif, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0There is also a Silver City in Ancaster Ontario. Could be anywhere!
- jefferson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Im going to see it twice more lets crush the record and show the mpaa that filesharing doesn't hurt movies that people want to see just the grabage that companies put out, im not downloading "A lot like love" nor am i going to see it. How many of you guys downloaded it and went and saw it?
- adml_shake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Someone made a good point on Slashdot about bittorrent, what the MPAA is afraid of is us not seeing these movies before they come out, because hell lets face it nothing is gonna replace seeing it on the big screen, but they are afraid that people will find out that the movie SUCKS and warn all their friends who haven't seen it yet. So hollywood might actually have to step up and worry about putting quality movies out *gasp* and not just slap a title on something and piss off the public because we all go see it thinking it will be great only to find out it's another Hulk or something.
- andrew_m, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i was just hopeing there was another person in this damn town who knew how to run a computer...
