- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Fifty million dollars!? Who do you think you kidnapped, Kelsey Grammer!?
- DisposableRob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"What happened to Batman being a detective and out-thinking his foes. Batman BEgins was all adrenaline no intellect behind that Bruce Wayne."
Watch it again. BB was the first one to actually show a very proactive Batman as a detective, gathering evidence to work against his foes. All the other Batman movies had him waiting for the criminals to show up and cause trouble so he could come in a save the day. - etruscan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've been reading the X-Men comic since issue #200... and then went back with some of the Classic X-Men issues to fill in the gaps before that. Beast looks great here, Kelsey Grammer is an odd choice, but he'll do a great Hank Pym. As for Gambit... he's too much of a major character in the LATER years for him to step onto the set now during one of the EARLY storylines (Pheonix). They'll get to him though - and you know who would be good...? Vincent Cassel - the french guy from Oceans Twelve.
Angels looks pretty sweet. I just hope they move from this storyline to the Fall Of The Mutants, so we get some Apocalypse.
My only worry - Brett Ratner. - SpacemanSpiff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1From the fourth picture caption: "We want this to look and feel different from the first two".
Does that line scare the hell out of anyone else? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. - Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No Gambit = no Digg
- Oxygen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think Kelsey Grammer will suit Beast quite well actually; Marvel movies for the most part seem to be on the ball with casting calls. Can't wait to see it on the big screen.
- dierien2001, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1X1 = Rogue
X2 = Logan/Wolverine/Weapon X
X3 = Phoenix/Jean Grey
Hmmmm.. would X4 be Genosha that would be bad-ass - muikano, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Batman Begins was only good because of Nolan. Just cuz it's got a great beginning doesn't mean it's a good movie. A bomb on a train that heats up the water in Gotham causing an aerosol scare contaminant...Come on. It's a comic but it should follow SOME physics. Don't settle. That's a huge flaw.
X-men doesn't have tie to be good movie. How much time was spend on pre and post production on this movie? Instead of hiring another director and giving the movie time to mature, Petty Arad decides to pit it against Superman Returns. Petty. - Moose_Head, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That camera shutter sound they have on there freeked the crap out of me!
- tastypastry, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I cant really picture Kelsey Grammer playing Beast but he does have that sophisticated/smart sounding voice that beast had in the cartoon.
- staticten, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Kelsey Grammer?
WTF? - PorkchopExpress, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Was that Colossus in the first group shot? Good God, I hope so.
- Carbito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/fox/x3/
- MarkXL, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sweet!
Thanks for the post!
The majority of this movie was filmed in my home town, Im psyched. - angelschambers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Alright, the good news is that the Juggernaut's in it. And there's nothing you can do to screw up a fight scene between X-men and the Juggernaut! So that takes care of one scene. The rest of the premise sux! There's no Gambit, there's no (Arch)Angel... just his candyassed counterpart, there's an unproven director, and who the hell decided to put Kelsey Grammar in it?!? Why not go with Doctor Phil, he has a similar humor and voice for Beast? I guarantee Kelsey's gonna stand out for having no chemistry with this movie whatsoever. But I'm a diehard fan, so it doesn't matter, I've gotta see it anyways!
- bloodrain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wow you guys are worried about grammer play the beast. come on its fricken brett ratner dir the movie. this will kill most comic movies if he does it like the rush hour series. unless he does one hell of a hail mary.
- AttroPheed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So there was an x-men 2? Yikes.
- felchdonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Whether the photos are good or not, it's just another viral marketing ploy from the studios.
No digg. Quit helping people run ad campaigns for free. - selwyn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0god, i can't believe that Gambit didn't make it AGAIN.
- YanSan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this ruins this in a way for me, with no gambit, as a kid he was my favorite, and i had high hopes of him making it on the 3rd one...they've been crushed
- rookieone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0BEAST!!! YEA!!!
- rhthekida, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Boo X-Men 3, why do they need to have Ratner direct it when they are just ripping the story from Joss Whedon's first arc in Astonshing X-Men. Joss should have helmed this movie. Stupid Fox running Singer off the franchise. X2 is one of the best comic book movies ever.
- galfridus73, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well, hopefully Ratner won't kill it. Hopefully he will imitate Singer's style enough to pull X3 out.
As for Grammer as Beast: It makes perfect sense to me. They clearly aren't going with the huge Beast of the past, but someone with Grammer's delivery and acting ability makes sense. I think he'll do fine and any stunts he can't handle I'm sure the computer will handle with ease.
I'm most worried about Ratner, not Grammer. - FunHeadlines, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"grammar's hard in the wee hours of the morning, isn't it?"
Quite possibly, so is Grammer. - spectre, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Fraiser as beast? Ugh. I think Angel looks dead-on though, It'll be awesome when Apocalypse gets a hold of him.
- davidkain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Ummm...that sucks, but rocks. It's like having news that the Goonies are never gonna make another movie, but Data is going to have a new show coming out next year."
http://oregon.pacificnorthwestmovies.com/TheGoonies2/
Hilarious. - C_Prime, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0In the trailer the funeral could also be for Jean Grey...Remember, they think she's DEAD.
Also, Kelsey Grammer is PERFECT for Beast. He will give the role the proper intelligence needed to voice everyone's favorite furball, plus I'm sure any growling or more animalistic parts for Beast will involve stock sounds of a tiger or something, plus CGI, since no way anyone's gonna be able to do the more acrobatic stuff Beast is capable of.
Colossus+Wolverine=Fastball Special. 'Nuff said. If you have ANY ounce of Marvel fanboy in you, I'm sure you've creamed yourself. - john21, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0just wait to see this. :)
- theDrizzle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0damn, Carbito beat me too it...why the hell hasnt anyone thought of apple's site for trailers (except Carbito of course), i watched it last night...it looks bad ass.
- merdeisel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0southsloper,
take that back. have you seen the trailer. looks like a good amount of the movie will be in SF. it also looks like professor X dies in this one. - peorth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow, Angel looks SWEET!
- jrclements, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@Prometheus
haha ;) yeah it was 5 am... what can i say? grammar's hard in the wee hours of the morning, isn't it? - DrEbola, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Here are the common characteristics between Hugh Jackman and the comic book Wolverine:
brown hair
END OF STORY. - MilitantRabbit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I am SOOO marking out with this. Beast, man. BEAST! And ANGEL! I'm moderately bummed about Gambit not being in it, but then again, his powers are too Cyclopsish and his attitude is too Loganish, so that's why not.
- Charlotte_Web, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Kelsey Grammar as the Beast
"Hello, X-Men... I'm listening..."
I dunno, Grammer will always be Frasier Crane to me. - samdu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Giant Man is Hank Pym."
And Ant Man and Yellow Jacket. Oh, and he's also a wife beater. :) God, I feel like such a nerd now. - PGvildys, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Beast actually looks good in that photo. Let's see how it transitions to film.
- aliasunknown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If Angel's in, what's the possibility of an Apocolapse stroy? That would be so awesome.
- DrEbola, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I was somewhat more a Spiderman geek when I was younger, but I still read X-Men and I've hated the casting from the beginning. Hugh Jackass as Wolvie? I never liked the X-Men movies, so I hope the quasi-gay Angel and this wimped out version of Beast will change my mind. Not to mention Phoenix.... RIGHT GUYSZZ?/!!
- Philbert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I love Kelsey Grammer and his past work. I can see his voice for Beast, but what about action scenes? Kelsey isn't exactly a kid anymore.
- mister6ix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Is no one else worried about the director? Have you seen the rush hour movies? They are both huge piles of crap, i just hope that he followed the templete singer pretty much had set up and doesnt throw Chris Tucker in anywhere."
***** scares the...***** out of me...
Rush Hour?
Bwahahahahahahaha
I fear this film. - FunHeadlines, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Quit asking about Jean Grey/Phoenix and actually look it up on imdb. Sure enough, Famke Janssen is listed as portraying Jean Grey/Phoenix. Whaddya know? Actual confirmation at your fingertips.
- SkiBumm4Life, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Looks awesome, but BOO to JavaScript for resizing my browser window.
- etruscan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Haha... right. Hank McCoy.
Stupid Giant Man. - jla1987, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Frickin' Sweet. I can't wait to see this!
- ZeonFlash, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"While a fourth 'X-Men' is unlikely, Jackman has signed on for a 'Wolverine' spinoff, due in 2007."
Ummm...that sucks, but rocks. It's like having news that the Goonies are never gonna make another movie, but Data is going to have a new show coming out next year. - Mongoose, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sweet.
- braeburn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Kelsey Grammer is an odd choice, but he'll do a great Hank Pym."
Beast is "Hank McCoy" Giant Man is Hank Pym.
Peace - punch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Kelsey is going to be great.
- etruscan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Now we need an X-FACTOR series!
...I'm sure the cast would be cheaper. -
