- 83457, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4They aren't in the same theater. For example you just exit threater 5 where the first movie just ended, go to the bathroom, and then walk to theater 9 where the second movie starts in five minutes.
- eleven, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Hell, I've found if you just buy soda and pop corn you can get into any movie. In the theater around here you can buy food before paying for the actual tickets - just bulk up on food and make sure you have no hands free. Then you nod at the ticket taker and they pretty much let you get to your movie - since you just paid $20 on a pop and some popcorn they really should not care anyways. It helps that it's a very disorganized system they have, since all the people are leaving and coming in at the same times.
- 83457, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2yeah, just make sure to buy more soda and popcorn to clear your conscience
- joeyjojo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I can't really see how a theater would really care. You already paid to get in, and their cash cow is the refreshments anyways...staying at the theater longer just means more more likely to drop a few more bucks at the candy stand.
- Tweidle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I can see how this would work. Heck there's been several time where I actually bought a ticket and there was no one to take it. Or I'll go put my $50 worth of crap in my seat, hit the bathroom, and make an effort to have the guy tear my ticket.
But honestly who could really sit though both The Chronicles of Narnia and King Kong in the same day? My ass fell asleep in both of them. - acontorer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Don't want security to get suspicious.
Mr. Pibb and Red Vines equals crazy delicious!" - etherdog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I never go to a movie theatre without seeing at least two films. I also load my parka with beer.
- sagedude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I used to do this all the time when I was a 13 or so (24 now) and spend the whole day at the movies.
I used to take a backpack with some snacks and a few different sweaters. I paid for one movie ticket then as soon as it finished I went into the backroom and changed into a different sweater, waited 5 minutes, then went into a different theatre to see another movie.
I used to see 3 or 4 movies a day on the weekends. In the end I figured out a way to get in for free by using a coathanger to open the exit doors from the outside.
I also had friends who used to print their own tickets at home then present the pre-torn stubbs for free entry. I don't think they were ever caught. - au071, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is pretty cool.
- KamikazeH20mln, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Exactly what 83457 said. Just have to make sure to watch out for security.
Again, you are ripping off the local house mostly. The MPAA already got their share out of the movie house for showing rights. - fattyJ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0saves me a lot of time comparing
- zzztimbo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1what a great ***** idea!
- MalDON, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Yea its not really a double feature, its more of ripping the house off. besides, at the places around me, they clean up after every show, so if you try to stay they will kick you out.
- thenativeraver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0~cough , cough~
yeah sneaking into movies is wrong
;-) - blurtheimage, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thanks! I do this all the time! Now I don't have to go to the trouble of figuring all of this out!
+digg! - Pooavenger, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1electro- don't be a dick. who gives two ***** about a movie distributor. we the consumers are getting ripped off everyday.
- Nullifidian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Do not do this around the holiday when most theaters are packed or if it fills up then split. Most theaters don't mind that much as long as you're buying consession food and they're not selling out a movie.
- SpacemanSpiff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This doesn't factor in that at a lot of the newer theaters they have two or more wings of theaters. Even if the movies line up back to back, you need a ticket stub to get into the other wing. I bet that movie theaters use that to their advantage and specifically schedule movies that are back to back in separate wings.
- h4cked, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1At the theater near where I live there is an entrance to the bathrooms on the theater side and another on the lobby side. All you have to do is go in one door and come out the other. (so easy)
- jeranamo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0sweet, makes doing a double header a lot easier.
- iconoclast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If you feel you're getting ripped off as a consumer DON'T BUY THE PRODUCT!
wow...the wonders of capitalism eh?
If you feel you're getting ripped off and you continue to buy...you're an idiot. - kagayaki1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0so much energy put into trying to get something for free, i love it.
great idea for a site, big digg - eelenneirda, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is way cool but i would just pay for the two movies. no sneaky sneaky for me
- Mesach, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I dont get it... do you get a kick out of this koolaidguy?
I guess my life has more meaning. - cronos916, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I love it!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Results weren't clear, because they were too far off to the left of the screen to read.
- bobetr, on 11/27/2008, -0/+0suhweeeet
wow. when i read it i wanted to shoot myself. - steve693, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The layout sucks, but it's still pretty cool.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Coll stuff.
- haloevo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0haha, that's pretty sweet.
- RMuffin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think I shall have to make use of this. The movie theater that's around here once you get back into the movies you can go around anywhere.
- eclectro, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0theatres rarely get any money from the ticket sales - so you are ripping off the movie distributor.
Go on half price day and buy two tickets. - 4815162342, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0this is awesome
- Wogna, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Hey it works....but it's a little hard to actually see if your movies line up. I'll be better off just seeing how long a movie is, and then doing the math.
- Frost35, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0pretty cool. I know I'm always wanting to see a double feature. To bad it doesn't do Canada though :(
- 83457, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0much easier to click on "Click for Double Features!" links instead of pulling up calculator
