- iisbum, on 05/24/2008, -2/+71Please tell me a chick made this list, if a man had to sit through all these movies he must dead by now.
- socialpyramid, on 05/24/2008, -5/+62I wouldn't put crap like Crossroads on the same list as Fried Green Tomatoes and the English Patient. Some of those movies are very well done and I really enjoyed. I appreciate the best of pretty much all genres of movies and art, and the fact that I don't have an aversion to so-called "chick movies" (which is rarely a helpful designation) has scored me points with more than one woman.
- redsfaithful, on 05/24/2008, -3/+48I'm not ashamed to admit it, When Harry Met Sally was pretty funny.
Otherwise I'm struggling to come up with a watchable chick flick. - lunabee, on 05/24/2008, -2/+37Some of those movies are really good. P.S. I love you should be on that list, that movie sucks!
- jonroth, on 05/24/2008, -9/+42Umm. Aren't they all bad? Chick flick = boring movie? Just kidding.
- fearofsociety, on 05/24/2008, -3/+32Wow. What a completely lazy article. No more than two sentences per each item. It's essentially just a list of movie posters stacked on top of each other. Just a cheap grab for hits. Lame.
At least it was all on one page though. Buried anyway. - skored, on 05/24/2008, -3/+32i am convinced that "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood" was created by the devil.....
- MikeonTV, on 05/24/2008, -2/+28I defy you to come up with the 20 best chick flicks of all time!
- CigarJack, on 05/24/2008, -0/+25I remember the final scene in that movie and thinking, "Move your fat ass over and he'd fit!"
- benroy, on 05/24/2008, -1/+19I didn't see Terms Of Endearment on there.
I call shenanigans. - bigbill780, on 05/24/2008, -1/+18I think this list forgot City of Angels. I dont know how the hell I was tricked into watching that.
- magicjohnson, on 05/24/2008, -2/+19The Notebook should definitely be higher up. I have yet to meet a girl who has not cried after watching it.
- inactive, on 05/24/2008, -0/+17Way to cover all your bases there.
- PixelMagic, on 05/24/2008, -1/+17#1 is "Love Actually" Awesome movie.
- inactive, on 05/24/2008, -1/+17I confess, I liked Fried Green Tomatoes.
- MattJF317, on 05/24/2008, -0/+16If this "us" you're referring to is Digg users, then no, the closest "we" have come has been bittorrenting Titanic to have our own little "special" treatment during the sketching scene.
- StevieJanowski, on 04/02/2009, -1/+16Watched 5 of these. What can I say a guys got to do what a guys got to do to get the girl
- edelay, on 05/24/2008, -3/+18Buried, English Patient is a war movie.
- btgoss, on 05/24/2008, -1/+15Ok, but how many of us had gone to see these movies with the hopes that we would receive some "special" treatment....
- mvanhorn, on 05/24/2008, -0/+14I was so proud of the fact that I had seen none of the movies.. but then Titanic had to be #1 and I have seen that.. sigh
- kd36, on 05/24/2008, -1/+15As a chick let me say that we only really liked Dirty Dancing...the rest we made you watch to torture you.
- tumatakuru, on 05/24/2008, -0/+14Don't back down. Say it like you mean it.
- anchora, on 05/24/2008, -2/+17I'm a chick and I don't like any of the movies on that list. Blech. I remember my friends back in the day going to see Titantic x15 times and bragging about it. They're better now.
- juttman, on 05/24/2008, -5/+18Huh, how long do you have to wait after the procedure to start calling your boyfriend your girlfriend? Is testicular removal covered by your HMO?
- yacks, on 05/24/2008, -0/+12or he's just lying to get into your pants.. though I will admit some "chick flicks" aren't that bad.. but I would definately draw the line with Sex and the City..
- xblackxfalconx, on 05/24/2008, -0/+12Where is Sweet Home Alabama?
Just watching 15 min of that movie could bring on a coma. - gr3yn3t, on 05/24/2008, -2/+14Hey, The English Patient was good!
- Breticus07, on 05/24/2008, -0/+12I liked Ghost a little because of Whoopi Goldberg but if it were by choice I would have put dirty dancing as the absolute worst
- atdigg, on 05/24/2008, -0/+12or sterilized...
- CrimsonBlur, on 05/24/2008, -2/+13The English Patient, The Notebook, The Prince of Tides, The Bridges of Madison County, Fried Green Tomatoes and Steel Magnolias? I would love to know what "chick flicks" this person thinks are actually good, because they have ruled out some good movies here for no apparent reason. Also, Titanic actually is good, I've never understood why so many people try to insist it sucks.
Yes, I am a man, but I am not in any way ashamed to admit that I like emotional or romantic movies. Why shouldn't men enjoy movies that move you? I've never understood that. - Ladymongoose, on 05/24/2008, -0/+11I guess my screen name is too subtle for you. Did it occur to you there actually are women on DIGG?
- yacks, on 05/24/2008, -0/+10Love Actually... includes some nudity too ;)
- inactive, on 05/24/2008, -0/+10He is gay, which makes sense because there are no girls on digg.
- juttman, on 05/24/2008, -0/+10Damn, I've seen 8 of them. Dirty Dancing is the worst by far. Usually filmmakers will put a hot girl in the starring role so the guys in the audience can at least be mildly entertained. Not sure what happened here. I think she got her nosejob about 10 years too late.
- Monarch818, on 05/24/2008, -0/+9Had to be a guy who made that list. Probably because women he dated made him sit through them all. Why? Because I'm a girl, and myself and most of my friends have seen the majority of those movies and loved close to half of them!
- Breticus07, on 05/24/2008, -1/+10yeah but it said "worst"
- digidelia, on 05/24/2008, -0/+8Because I Said So, a horrible mess of 90 minutes
the sleepless in seattle trailer from that site was great, though - stanleyford, on 05/24/2008, -1/+8Remember the part in Ghost where the guy dies by getting practically cut in half by a jagged piece of glass and then the shadows come to life and drag him screaming down to hell? Don't tell me that doesn't kick ass.
- inactive, on 05/24/2008, -0/+7Ugly/Annoying girls want to watch them and pretend they can get a guy out of their league even though they're ugly and annoying.
- Zapita, on 05/24/2008, -0/+7and me #2
everybody said it was sooooooo romantic and all i found in that movie was cliche after cliche after cliche - Tawney, on 05/24/2008, -0/+6I'm glad to say I've only seen one of those movies: Ghost. And that was actually a decent movie.
- inactive, on 05/24/2008, -0/+6PS - I love you belongs somewhere on this list.
- ClemsonPoker, on 05/24/2008, -0/+6I concur. Not sure if this person has no taste or was just being lazy and listed the first 20 (s)he could think of.
The Notebook, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Titanic were all good to great movies. - MiamiRox, on 05/24/2008, -6/+11The Notebook? WHAT!? Really!?
"This would have been a whole hell of a lot better if Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling had any chemistry."
Never mind that they dated for years off screen. Some of these movies are my favorite of all time. Buried. - truspect0r, on 05/24/2008, -0/+6Let me guess, he doesn't usually ask for sex right? You're the one who keeps bugging him for sex?
- imLissy, on 05/24/2008, -3/+9I would just like to say that I will not be dragging my boyfriend to see Sex and the City next week. I'm going with my girlfriends because I love him.
I like about half the movies on this list, being a girl, that's to be expected. But Dirty Dancing? Really? It's so good! - contradictator, on 05/24/2008, -3/+9Ghost should not be on this list, it's genuinely touching, and it's got enough suspense, violence and slapstick to be labeled as a dark comedy!
- wesleyzero, on 05/24/2008, -1/+6Yes, it's a well-documented fact that men everywhere love "Steel Magnolias."
Wait, no. - zer0hour, on 05/24/2008, -0/+5BLASPHEMY!!
- neocr0n, on 05/24/2008, -0/+5Shameless plug of an article your submitted.
