- pussyWagon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Is this really news?
- wvstephens, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well I did not state it clearly enough, I was in the comment section of the digg Saturday. Just scroll down about half way in the comment section and there it is.
http://www.digg.com/movies/Systm_Episode_3_Released_ - exobot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hmm, I think I'll give the thrilling world of A/V cables a miss for now..
- macdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm glad a direct link was provided. Thank you. It won't help me any longer, since I spent most of Saturday night and about 4 hrs on Sunday to get it from bittorrent.
- burtts, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I agree with that d dub, but Kevin didn't post this, he usually doesn't, it's all those hyper-excitable users out there!
- faceness007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Dude! That's the fastest I've ever downloaded anything (5800 KB/s)! The 700MB file took me 2 minutes to download!
- wvstephens, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not sure but was I ever glad they did. I would still be downloading the torrent.
- burtts, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Systm is pretty cool, I love their style.
- Dezrik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Direct Downloads?
Better for Users Yes
Better on Servers/Webhosts Puts alot of Strain on the Servers or Webhosts
This is why Bittorrent Was created.
I'd rather know im helping out Systm.
I LOVE SYSTM - wvstephens, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I would rather have the torrent as well. I am not sure what was going on when the video was released but my download was crap. I guess all the peers slammed the few seeders.
- IraqManiac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yeah, I don't know how the file size got to be 667MB, but it's worth it
- jhawksley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ha ha I found this by accident when it first came out. I was frustrated by the 22 hour estimate for the download, and just removed the .torrent extension and sure enough, it worked.
- psyonide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"holy sh1t...why is all systm announcements front page news. Stop cluttering up the site Kevin Rose!"
Don't yell at Kevin Rose, yell at his mindless fanboys who keep posting every little thing he does and promoting it to the home page.
Next up, "Kevin Rose has a western omelet for breakfast." Oohh, 583 DIGGS!!! - MikeMacMan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I would rather use bittorrent and not waste all of their bandwidth. Bittorrent works very well when people don't set their upload to 3K/sec.
- piptech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've also uploaded to my webspace:
http://dragon-jade.com/systm
It has all 3 episodes! - dr_green, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0systm is the best !!!!!!
- DesertFoxx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very kool!
- vdub12, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well they have officially alienated everyone on Direcway.
File size is WAY TO BIG - kirkio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The direct download isn't hard to find, just remove the .torrent extension
Please though, use BitTorrent, at least give it a try, to download Systm. By now, I'm sure there are enough BitTorrent seeds for a speedy download, and BitTorrent really takes off some of the server demand and costs for Systm. Choosing a direct download over Torrent (unless BitTorrent dosent work for you) is just taking away from the money they can invest in their projects.
One good thing to do with the direct downloads (i'm not sure if it is doable) is to direct download, then seed that file on BitTorrent - JimmyRyan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is awesome! The last episode was hard to download with very few seeders to begin. The direct option will help alot! Thanks, Jinx.com! Jimmy Ryan - TheTechFixx.com
- whiteV6, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Its not letting me download ???
- gookie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the put the direct download AFTER everyone has struggled to download it via bittorrent.
they should really stick to bit torrent and not waste their money for bandwidth, just add those up to their savings (what? recurring donation fee? WTF!). - burtts, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Omlet on e-bay...
current bit $2,340.34
=P - WickedOwl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0good. nothing against bittorrent but other formats should be available anyway.
- wvstephens, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This was posted with the origianl digg when the video was released, I guess no one saw that post. I used the Direct Download Saturday and it worked great.
- AdamCo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Yes
- D_double, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0holy sh1t...why is all systm announcements front page news. Stop cluttering up the site Kevin Rose!
