- evil-doer, on 03/28/2009, -9/+59amazing? really? looked pretty cliche and bad acting to me.
- RoroCo, on 03/27/2009, -5/+41Ron Perlman and Jon Malcovich in the same movie? Can the screen handle this much awesomeness in one two hour span?
P.S. Is that the Highlander using swords again? - amadeus1114, on 03/28/2009, -5/+41I think it looks cheesy
::ducks for cover:: - Jukko, on 03/28/2009, -9/+39Mutant Chronicles is a bag of *****. Don't believe the hype. Nothing redeeming about it. Saw it a few months ago.
- iDoraemon, on 03/28/2009, -4/+32I really, really wanted to enjoy Mutant Chroncles. It had so much potential, and the idea of a ragtag team comprised of soldiers from four futuristic corporation "factions" fighting a zombie-like mutant infestation really seemed like cheesy fun. And even though the visuals were cool like Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow in a darker tint, the execution was sadly sloppy. The second half was just retardedly corny, and not in a good way.
The movie's pretty bad. I don't recommend seeing this. - Oatmeal, on 03/27/2009, -6/+34Dugg for ron pearlman
- Bukowsky, on 03/27/2009, -6/+29Anticipation fueled.
- Daxx22, on 03/27/2009, -5/+27The movie is indeed awesome:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0490181/
However fair warning: It has a high amount of cheese content. Don't go into this expecting high-cinema, and you will be entertained. It's shot entirely on a green screen, almost all the sets and scenery are CGI. It makes for some odd perspectives at times, but is overall well done. - bixby1, on 03/27/2009, -7/+23That was a lot cooler than I expected.
- Faberski, on 03/28/2009, -5/+19"Lord Of The Rings... In the future... With less walking. And story." - collin-mcarthur(IMDb)
- darthjure, on 03/28/2009, -0/+14Why was that Red Band?
- cl2yp71c, on 03/28/2009, -1/+15No need, it's out.
- inactive, on 03/27/2009, -5/+18Waiting for the movie
- beelz, on 03/28/2009, -3/+15http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4470289/The_Mutant ...
- tmyprod, on 03/28/2009, -2/+13This movie should have been awesome, but it was really, really terrible. It wasn't even bad enough to be amusing.
- magic6435, on 03/28/2009, -0/+10This movie is ***** 2 years old. I'm so confused, it was a ***** straight to dvd type of film.
- Torx, on 03/28/2009, -3/+12meh.
- amadeus1114, on 03/28/2009, -0/+7I'm pretty sure that was a joke :D
- NinjaJoshy, on 03/27/2009, -4/+10Great concept for a movie, perhaps this is going to be the next Hollywood theme (moving on from zombies, and comic books)?
- ronintetsuro, on 03/28/2009, -1/+7Uh, I saw this a while ago? It's a great movie... but I'm confused as to why it's front page right now?
- nibster, on 03/28/2009, -1/+6Dude Where's My Car was good!
ZOLTAN! - lonedust, on 03/28/2009, -1/+6It wasn't a very good movie.
I watched it last year, felt that it was one of those with ok story but badly executed and poorly edited. - tolstoi78, on 03/28/2009, -0/+5I watched this almost a year ago. It's almost bad enough to be good, but it's just not bad enough.
It would have been cool about 20 years ago. - Jukko, on 03/28/2009, -1/+6To hide all of the ***** ***** CG.
- amadeus1114, on 03/28/2009, -1/+6I liked Dude, Where's My Car...
<:'c - Wakkyweed, on 03/28/2009, -1/+5Jon Malcovich sounded like he was reading his lines while sleepwalking.
- zdiddy85, on 03/28/2009, -1/+5I dont know why two people dugg you down, I came in here to make the exact same comment.
This movie IS awesome, feels like it's set in the Warhammer 40K universe in a way, TONS of steampunk.
But yes, it is a greenscreen fest but what isn't nowadays?
I personally recommend this movie though, it was entertaining to say the least. - CanadianSixPack, on 03/28/2009, -0/+4...but what about the mutants?
- squishiful, on 03/28/2009, -1/+5I think it seemed like it would be filled with bad acting and bad special effects, more like a bargain tv show's version of bad-a.
- Dinner, on 03/28/2009, -1/+5There certainly wasn't much cause for optimism about the writing...
- Sacrifice, on 03/28/2009, -0/+4I would wait actually, that is from an unfinished edit of the film. The new edit should be better.
- kelstock, on 03/28/2009, -0/+4There was only one point of awesome in the entire movie - when responding to Brother Samuel (Perlman), Maj Hunter (Thomas Jane) says: "I'm not paid to believe, I'm paid to ***** ***** up".
It felt like and Asylum film would - if they were actually taking themselves seriously. - danharlow, on 03/28/2009, -0/+3They were both in 'The Name of the Rose', don't forget.
- BigMiller, on 03/28/2009, -2/+5It got a 20 on rotten tomatoes.
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/mutant_chronicles/
But they also gave watchmen a 60 and that movie was awesome. - Wakkyweed, on 03/28/2009, -0/+3No sharks with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads?
- polygons, on 03/28/2009, -0/+3Saw this movie a while ago. Have to say it was better than I thought it would be. Really high on the cheese factor and B-movie acting, even Malkovich. Fun watch but nothing special.
- VinnieDaMac, on 03/28/2009, -0/+3Never heard of this movie until now, I'm interested in seeing it.
- theword12, on 03/28/2009, -3/+6It looks like a bad Serenity
- numbnick, on 03/28/2009, -6/+9I'd say a 60 for Watchmen is just about right.
- tweaq, on 03/28/2009, -1/+4I'm genuinely confused. IMDB says it comes out today for a tv premier, yet I've never heard of it before now. So why/how has this been out for months yet its coming out?
- Yage2006, on 03/28/2009, -0/+2Strange this came out on bluray quite some time ago. It was enjoyable.
- ryanspeck, on 03/28/2009, -0/+2To his credit, that was part of his character. Unfortunately, since you get no sense of background in the movie, "unemotional and detached bureaucrat" comes across as "phoned it in".
The piss-poor writing of this thing does it no service. - ShoggothDreams, on 03/28/2009, -0/+2That has been the name of the game for 16 years, would seem foolish to drop it now....
- rezivor, on 03/28/2009, -0/+2Not saying I think it looks bad or anything,
but is it just me, or does this movie have a really 90's sort of feel to it? - TwwIX, on 03/28/2009, -0/+2John Malkovich needs to get himself a new agent.
- Tyrghast, on 03/28/2009, -2/+4I've never heard of Mutant Chronicles before so all I took away from this trailer was "Wow, that looks like a crap." This is coming from someone who loved Hellboy and other cheesy flicks.
As for zdiddy85, nothing is comparable to the WH40k universe, and the day they pick a story from WH40k to make in to a movie the world will not be able to handle such badassery. - gr33nie, on 03/28/2009, -1/+3I still wouldn't recommend anybody downloading it. This movie is nothing but fail for 100 minutes. Don't be drawn in by the fact it has Ron Perlman and John Malkovich in it.
- jordanau, on 03/28/2009, -2/+4zombies + ron perlman+ john malchovich + swords + spaceships + boobies = win
sorry no caps, beer in other hand - DrCyclops, on 03/28/2009, -0/+2John Malkovich is the ham's ham. You'd think he'd really cut loose and devour scenery for this kind of movie, but I guess all the green screen work took the fight out of him.
Looks like a retread of his narcotic performance from Eragon (but how could anybody have been excited by that movie?). - funkyloki, on 03/28/2009, -1/+3Yeah, I agree. I couldn't even get through the first fifteen minutes.
