- Eslamicolt3, on 02/03/2008, -0/+11This has the best chance of spawning a rebirth of the show. I'd say the biggest factor in the decision to make this into a movie, besides the fan base, would be the box office profitability and position in the public eye that Michael Cerra is in right now. Juno and Superbad were both big hits at the box office, and the strong material laying untapped in this show probably made a lot of sense for a new Michael Cerra project.

Lucille: Michael and women? A-coodle-doodle-do, a-coodle-doodle-do.
Lindsay: That's what I was just telling him. Chaw-chi-chaw.
Michael: Look, I haven't found the right girl, when I do I will ask her out. Has anyone in this family even seen a chicken?
- zachdybs, on 02/03/2008, -4/+84I don't see it as a series. Maybe a movie.
- po43292, on 02/03/2008, -0/+13Maeby.
- Animelee, on 02/03/2008, -3/+55Come on guys, if any of you have never seen the show, go ahead and do so! PLEASE! It's a great three seasons worth of comedy that was taken off the air before it even got the chance to hit its peak.
You like [my fellow Bramptonian] Michael Cera in Juno or Superbad? He's at his best in Arrested Development.
It's just... one of the smartest comedies on TV. On par with 30 Rock, Scrubs, Extras and The Office (US and UK).
Give it a chance if you haven't, so you can get hooked like us. Let's pull a Family Guy and Futurama here.- whodat807, on 02/03/2008, -0/+42As much as I love 30 Rock, Extras, and both versions of the office, Arrested Development is far and away the smartest show of the bunch. I love rewatching the episodes just to appreciate how finely crafted they are.
- Roger, on 02/03/2008, -10/+1^
(not sure if I agree 100%) - stvspl, on 02/03/2008, -0/+2It absolutely is far and away the best.
Although 30 Rock has been coming in a close second lately. And Extras.
- Roger, on 02/03/2008, -10/+1^
- azbmr, on 02/03/2008, -1/+35That show was BEYOND "on par" with the shows you listed there. I was impressed with how often the plot lines and jokes would interrelate from previous episodes. It made for infinite "rewatchablity." Re-watch them all, and you will find subtle jokes you didn't catch the first or second time around.
- insllvn, on 02/03/2008, -0/+15I still catch new stuff all the time. Probably the best written show ever crushed by the soulless monkeys at the Box Network.
- KillPenguin, on 02/03/2008, -0/+7I know we all really want the show to come back, but it doesn't seem like that will happen. Showtime offered to take the show, but Mitchell Hurwitz said that he didn't want to continue it because he didn't think they could continue the show the same level of quality. And that really sucks :(
- whodat807, on 02/03/2008, -0/+42As much as I love 30 Rock, Extras, and both versions of the office, Arrested Development is far and away the smartest show of the bunch. I love rewatching the episodes just to appreciate how finely crafted they are.
- phyx726, on 02/03/2008, -6/+15Best show that no one watched and possibly my second favorite show behind Seinfeld.
- stolenisotope1, on 02/03/2008, -3/+2Should be called XenuFeld... You'd know why.
- insllvn, on 02/03/2008, -0/+1Is Seinfeld in the cult? Wikipedia says he was involved but left.

- insllvn, on 02/03/2008, -0/+13It isn't really the pronunciation that concerned me.
- therightclique, on 02/03/2008, -0/+2does anyone else find it amusing that buster pronounces "pronunciation" incorrectly? i wonder if that was intentional. it bugs me every time.
- insllvn, on 02/03/2008, -0/+13It isn't really the pronunciation that concerned me.

- stolenisotope1, on 02/03/2008, -1/+17You should buy yourself a voice record, set it to record for the whole day and try to *listen* to what you are saying.
- Mike89, on 02/03/2008, -0/+11*listens* "Oh Tobias, you blowhard!"
- Chiliap2, on 02/03/2008, -0/+30I hope they add Gobias industries, I always wanted to see what happened to that
- mltvcocktail, on 02/03/2008, -0/+22As in "Gobias some coffee"
- mode7even, on 02/03/2008, -0/+20Ah, television networks being proven wrong by their own stupid mistakes yet again. The show was smart, but FOX thought it was too smart. You know how FOX doesn't like that...
- Nocturnus, on 02/03/2008, -0/+6You know its funny, its almost always FOX who gets it wrong and cancels the wrong shows, I wonder why?
- mode7even, on 02/03/2008, -0/+7Because they underestimate their audience. They expect more people would want to see two rich ***** complaining about working.
- Roger, on 02/03/2008, -0/+7I'm thankful FOX gave it a chance in the first place.
I do attribute its demise to them however. - therightclique, on 02/03/2008, -0/+7Have you MET normal americans? the average television watching crowd is made up of morons. These people could NEVER understand this show. It makes perfect sense that fox would cancel it and if i ran a network, I'd cancel it too, as it would be my job to make money by presenting shows that the most people want to watch, even if it makes me want to cry. face it, america WANTS to watch the two rich ***** complain about working. I've worked in a Best Buy. This is where these people live and work. They're unthinkably stupid. Idiocracy stupid.
- mercurio, on 02/03/2008, -0/+2I'm glad FOX allowed this great show to be created for 3 seasons--despite their ludicrous mismanagement of it all. I hope they don't see a penny from the earnings of the movie. Fox SUX.
- Nocturnus, on 02/03/2008, -0/+6You know its funny, its almost always FOX who gets it wrong and cancels the wrong shows, I wonder why?
- jbrown101st, on 02/03/2008, -0/+23Hopefully this doesn't ruin a good thing.
- Hellbayg, on 02/03/2008, -1/+7 Well, let's hope it doesn't come to that.

- limpl0uie, on 02/03/2008, -0/+24Over the past year Arrested has become my life blood. There isn't a week that goes by that I don't pop in a DVD and laugh at a new joke I never caught the first 15 times I've seen that episode.
If this news comes to pass I may just have to start thanking this "God" person everyone is talking about.- Rockmaninoff, on 02/03/2008, -0/+5Him?

- belkin54g, on 02/03/2008, -77/+2overrated show, wasnt that funny ..mostly childish humour. the show was a total bomb in the ratings for a reason . .and now they want to make a movie out of this? LOL! I would rather watch a Familly Matters movie with Steve Urkel than AD which was a joke and poorly written.
- Mikesnav, on 02/03/2008, -0/+38AD was regarded as a "smart" show. Maybe you don't meet the basic requirement..

- bingobongony, on 02/03/2008, -18/+2Love the show (well, the first two seasons anyway), but this would be a disaster. It would have been a disaster two years ago. But having it come out 3+years afterthe show went off the air, more if the writers strike continues for much longer can't possibly be a good idea.
- therightclique, on 02/03/2008, -0/+4you didn't like the third season. that sorta counts you out of any conversation involving us rational thinkers.
- johnboycanada, on 02/03/2008, -0/+50Arrested Development was one of the most brilliantly written sitcoms of all time. The jokes were sophisticated and not overreaching. AD never inserted a punchline that wasn't funny instead the lack of laugh tracks and characters obliviousness to the joke at hand kept my attention and pulled me in every episode. I can't wait for a movie. Horray for AD!!!
- jdevilz, on 02/03/2008, -0/+45Baby...we got a stew goin!
