Identity of New Transformers Robot in Transformers 2?
latinoreview.com — Yesterday the Hasbro website gave an update about the sequel to Transformers. It Mentions that the title for part 2 is Revenge of the Fallen …which can only mean one thing. All signs seem to indicate that Jazz may return in part 2... Could it have to do with the title of the sequel and the name of a Transformer robot we haven’t seen?

- Zeag, on 06/06/2008, -3/+31It's gonna be Starscream; haven't you guys seen him jet off into space at the end of the first movie? I'm pretty certain Jazz is dead for good.
Personally I'm much more interested by this part of the text:
"Meanwhile, TFW2005 got a hold of a leaked call sheet from the set in Bethlehem PA. In it they have tons of new information regarding cast and crew, scenes, storyline, and vehicles. A lot of it is speculative, however TFW2005 can verify that the mentioned "Arcee Motorcycles" are on set."
Female bike robot FTW!- drmangrum, on 06/06/2008, -0/+9Starscream was never much in the way of initiative. I think it more likely that he finds a way to reactivate the other Decepticons.
- slsashrk, on 06/06/2008, -1/+0Buell Firebolt?
FTL! - ZenMojo, on 06/06/2008, -0/+3Horrible character design. It's like she's only half-transformed, so how lazy do you have to be to not connect those little spindly parts so she looks less like a splintered skeleton?
Also, Michael Bay gets the finger for turning Jazz into a reimagined ridiculous stereotype and immediately killing him. - diceau, on 06/07/2008, -0/+2Female transformers? That's ridiculous ... it's ridiculous to even have 'male' transformers. What are they going to do, lube up the pistons and get mech-pregnant? Male and female only exist for procreation, robots don't need genders beyond our desire to recreate what we are used to.
- nutniqs, on 06/06/2008, -26/+13Transformers was the worst movie ever. I still count the Transformers animated movie as the only one that ever mattered. I need not see another version ever again.
- TruckStuff, on 06/06/2008, -5/+6AMEN!
I shall be proudly buried with you sir. - popltree2, on 06/06/2008, -0/+10Apparently you have never seen a movie made by Uwe Boll.
- directrix13, on 06/06/2008, -1/+7While I wouldn't call it the worst movie ever, it sure was a major let down for me. Screen after screen of product placement, shaky camera work, and a stupid ass love story that sounds like it was written by a 6th grader (I guess the target audience). I was going into this hoping Transformers grew up with me, but I guess at some point I outgrew it. I still watch it though, if only for the sake of nostalgia. I hope the second one revives my hopes.

"Screen after screen of product placement"
You're aware the cartoon was made SOLELY to sell toys, right?
Let's face it people, the source material wasn't particularly brilliant either.- directrix13, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1True. But the product they were hawking was the one I was interested in seeing. Not a million other random products. But good point none the less.

- 5lack3r, on 06/06/2008, -0/+4I don't know why you're getting dugg down for this!!! The animated Transformer's movie puts the new one to shame on every single level! I must have watched that movie - literally - a hundred times...
- TruckStuff, on 06/06/2008, -5/+6AMEN!
- Sairynn, on 06/06/2008, -1/+57More screen time for Starscream in the next one, please. The part where he flies around half-transformed, taking out all the fighter planes was easily the coolest part of the movie.
- LP88, on 06/06/2008, -11/+3He had the gayest voice ever in the original cartoons though.

- kingcorran, on 06/06/2008, -0/+39This article is a bit naive. It could be Jazz... but why not Starscream, or even Megatron? Not just the good guys come back for revenge... and in fact, 'revenge' suggests a returning bad guy more than a good one.
- sparql, on 06/06/2008, -0/+9Yeah, I don't know why they assume Jazz. From the title I'm assuming either Megatron, or a new character that wasn't in the first movie.
- sethworld, on 06/06/2008, -0/+4I would imagine it will be Megatron... but not as Megatron. Does anyone remember Galvatron?
- ZenMojo, on 06/06/2008, -0/+1True, Megatron does have a huge hunk of the allspark shoved into his chest.

I've always wanted to see the guy on the bus out of speed get his own transformer character. - RudeTurnip, on 06/06/2008, -2/+16It most likely has to do with Jazz...the mythology that the article talks about is wayyyyyyyyy to deep for the mentality of the likes of a Michael Bay film.
- xXMetalJesusXx, on 06/06/2008, -5/+12If Bay continues with his typical Hollywood crap fest, I'll be asleep before the newer transformers even make their way onto the screen. Is it to much to ask for some originality these days?
oh...and ***** BAY!- Blitzwing84, on 06/06/2008, -2/+2But Michael Bay has demanded that it be "Awesome"!
- Kannebas, on 06/06/2008, -4/+0When almost everything is either a sequel (The Mummy: Curse of the Dragon Emperor), a remake of foreign movies that aren't even 5 years old (One Missed Call, The Departed, The Eye), or just plain piles of ***** by themselves (The Strangers, Untraceable), then originality is a bit too much to ask for. While Bay's lack of character and plot development irritate me, I understand that as long as his movies keep making hundreds of millions of dollars, he's not gonna be out of work any time soon...
And there's only one word for that: AWESOME! *explosion*- xXMetalJesusXx, on 06/06/2008, -0/+1K...say what you want about The Mummy 3, One Missed Call...etc. But leave The Strangers out of this. Compared to Saw, Hostel, and every other horror film to come out in the past 5 years, this movie was a gift from the horror gods.
Sure, it did complete ripoff Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and a number of other "home-invasion" horror films from the past few years...but what it lacked in Originality in plot, it made up for in Directing. For as much as I rag on the Strangers myself, I have to give the Newbie Writer/Director a lot of respect for the detail of this film.- Kannebas, on 06/08/2008, -0/+0I understand what you mean, but since the question was about originality, I still think my point about The Strangers is still valid. And even though The Departed was a remake, I still liked it and unlike The Grudge or The Ring, they're probably not gonna do any of the sequels either, which is good. Actually, not just good. AWESOME! *explosion*

- gradivus, on 06/06/2008, -4/+13 Micheal Bay sucks and demands sucky things.
- imnojezus, on 06/06/2008, -2/+13Surprising, since they focused so much on Jazz's death in the first movie. Prime's "Aw, Jazz." was so heartfelt.
- BCRazgriz, on 06/06/2008, -0/+2Thank you! It was so hilarious he just acted like it was no big deal that Jazz died.
- Culyt, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1The fact that the robot managed to be so annoying with so little time on screen that its no wonder Optimus Prime just didn't give a *****.
With directing like that in the first place it wouldn't surprise me if the 2nd movie Bay did decide to bring back the annoying raciest stereo type black robot that had 2 lines then died without me even noticing he was in the battle.

Also I'm pretty sure that Starscream is gonna come back with Unicron or something and Megatron is gonna come back as Galvatron. At least, that's what I hope happens. The original movie's plot elements would be fun.- sethworld, on 06/06/2008, -0/+2I imagine you are correct about Galvatron.

- rryanhayes, on 06/06/2008, -2/+11yes, they are going to base the entire sequel to Transformers on the supporting character Jazz. They are also going to make a Star Wars sequel based solely on the death and return of Luke Skywalkers parents.
- vintagegeek, on 06/06/2008, -0/+5I'd watch that.

- urothane, on 06/06/2008, -1/+2Didn't they do this already, in fact 4 movies, three dedicated to the relationship and death of his parents and then the return of his father in Jedi?
- rryanhayes, on 06/06/2008, -0/+2those would be prequels....not sequels
- HanSolo69, on 06/06/2008, -1/+1They kind of already did that Star Wars thing you mentioned...It was called..Star Wars...it lasted for 6 movies....made pretty good money. I think they called his dad something like...Anakin Skylwalker before he "died" and maybe..what was it.... Darth Vader? Yea, that sounds right, he went by Darth Vader when he was "reborn". I hear people enjoyed the series pretty all right. I've never seen it though.
- rryanhayes, on 06/06/2008, -0/+0@HanSolo69...um, i mentioned this all ready, but maybe you missed it so ill drop it again just for the heck of it.... those Star Wars movies as you call them... yeah, the new ones that were made, those were called "prequels". Its all right though, easy mistake to make when we are all sitting here talking about sequels to movies.
- urothane, on 06/09/2008, -0/+1Still doesn't change the fact that Jedi was a sequel and they brought his father back from the dead so to speak. Remember both Obi Wan and Vader said that Anakin Skywalker was killed by Vader.
- rryanhayes, on 06/10/2008, -0/+0youre right, a metaphor for death is exactly the same as bringing back a character that was torn in half.
- urothane, on 06/09/2008, -0/+1Still doesn't change the fact that Jedi was a sequel and they brought his father back from the dead so to speak. Remember both Obi Wan and Vader said that Anakin Skywalker was killed by Vader.

- HolmWrecker, on 06/06/2008, -0/+6WooHoo, transformers rock! These movies also increase the re-sell of the transformers in my collection.
the first one was about the best movie I've seen in years. I just hope T2 isn't like most sequels, lame. - drmangrum, on 06/06/2008, -1/+12It would seem logical that with a title "Revenge of the Fallen" that it would Megatron all over again. Revenge is typically associated as a negative/evil emotion. Being "killed" by the all spark in the first movie would certain put him in the fallen category; actually come to think of it, all the Decepticons were defeated and thrown in the bottom of the ocean, so technically they're all Fallen.

Megatron bites it at the end of the last movie, the next movie he comes back for revenge - it's not ***** rocket science people. The speculation about Jazz is retarded.
- vagrantwade, on 06/06/2008, -1/+1The title is obviously referring to Megatron returning probably after Starscream returns to take charge. I would assume people think Jazz has something to do with it because the other day a report came out about how the pontiac solstice was going to be back in the sequel. I think comingsoon.net has an article on it but I am too lazy and don't like any of you enough to get the link.
