- bjkrautk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+92In related news, Dolph Lundgren just updated his resume.
- CapnObvious, on 10/11/2007, -4/+31I could see Mike Tyson as Skeletor.
- Araxen, on 10/11/2007, -0/+25Well thankfully they haven't thought about making a Gem movie.....
Now where is that live action GI Joe movie?!?! - AllnightChemist, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16What foxy tough chick will be playing She-ra?
- bwishey, on 10/11/2007, -2/+16Finally! A live action He-Man!... Oh wait...
http://imdb.com/title/tt0093507/ - trilks, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13Good luck topping the first movie!
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12@embrace: whatever that was supposed to be, it sucked.
- n8r0n, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11What next? A M.A.S.K. movie?
- SnuKs, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11@ araxen
Not really lookin forward to the GI JOE movie considering Corba won't be in it at all =P
http://www.filmwad.com/-gi-joe-to-include-villain-named-cool-dude-what--2545-p.html - smokmnky, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9I'd see that movie. I loved M.A.S.K
- laddr, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8I always wanted a sequel so I can find out what happens to Skeletor after he falls into the lava!
(Sounds like its not going to be related to the first film though, probably best hehe) - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8I thought the original He-Man movie in the 80s was pretty good. If they tried a little harder to limit the cheesiness factor, and not try to parody other films (especially with the soundtrack being a rip-off of Star Wars), it would've been fantastic.
I still say it's a highly entertaining movie for kids. Much better than the crap they get from today's Hollywood. Take out the cheese, and it's solid children's fantasy entertainment.
Good journey! - dvddesign, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Sweet. Maybe we'll see the principal from Back to the Future again, dressed in viking garb.
Maybe they'll work Orko in as well.
Who am I kidding. My childhood's been put out to pasture for the lowest bidder to ruin. - CapnObvious, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8No, Probably a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie. I bet they would use someone like David Hasselhof to star in it though.
- mojoel, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7No, that was Joel Schumacher. Joel Silver produced the Matrix movies.
- ochimaru, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6"Masters of the Universe" was a flop? Maybe in the box office, but it was the wet dream of every boy in the late 80's. I still think the ending scene where He-Man and Skeletor do a classic anime-style power up was bad-ass! I'm just as excited about this movie as Transformers, for sure!
- mythandros, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7The gay agenda? Wha-what? Like there's some poofy illuminati with feather boas trying to make everyone gay? What kind of comic-book world do you live in? You're telling me that one day I'm going to wake up, look out my window, and see a Gay Bomb go off, Heroes style complete with a pink blast-overpressure wave that decimates my heterosexuality?
Mythandros: "Oh god! I have teh Ghey!! *swoons, recovers, then buys a polo shirt that's too itght and makes self a martini." - Spuy767, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7I hear they've alreaddy begun filming.

Edit: God damn you Embrace. - nottidredd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6By the power of Greyskull!
- Nerfdude, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5live action he-man? so they're just making conan the barbarian, then.
- Kronos6948, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I guess he thinks it's gay agenda because in the cartoon, Prince Adam's powers are "Fabulous"!
From the intro on the cartoon:
"...Fabulous secret powers were revealed to me.."
I love He-Man, BTW.
In a totally hetero way...I think. - StillGaming, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7You mean, more spamming my personal website here, m i rite
http://www.digg.com/users/dunocom/news/submitted - ijake, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Someone needs to tell Hollywood to stop ruining my childhood.
- honestpen, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Bad Ideas for 300, Alex.
- mojoel, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5@araxen
Exactly!! Where's G.I. Joe? All they have to concentrate on really is Snake Eyes and then add in maybe Scarlet and Storm Shadow. Cobra Commander & Destro as bad guys. It could work! - lithera, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Thank you of reminding me of one of my favo. tv series. I really had totally forgotten about that show.
Man... that was brilliant stuff ;p - FernandoForever, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5Voltron the movie!?!?! kick-ass!!!
- cbrophy78, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4I'm awaiting thundercats live action movie. However, smurfs live action would ***** rock.
- AllnightChemist, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4shhhhh.... don't give hollywood any ideas.
- absinth1977, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3We'd be lucky then. Because 'Batman Begins' redeemed the entire franchise after the utter drek that franchise became after Batman Returns.
- BobMysterioso, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5Joel Silver?
This is going to FABULOUS!!!! Joel Silver loves large men in tights with full nipple-age. This is going to be fairly homoerotic.
"Oh BeastMan, you need a shave!, Yum...." (said in a Charles Nelson Rilery voice...) (and of course being tounge in cheek)
you want homoerotic?
I'd say tongue in cheeks is more like it!
zing! - romeyinfc, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3How about Don Imus? He's looking for work
- V1ncent, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I'd watch it if Evil-Lyn, Sorceress and Teela got it on.
- Kinjiru, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2alright.. everybody now.. 1...2....3.. DISASTER!
Honestly.. could they be any more lame??? - bigtizzle, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Dolph Lundgren is the only thing that gives Chuck Norris nightmares. He is the one true man in a world full of boys. . .
- exscind, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Since there have been a number of people making *****-erotic comments (maybe confusing Joel Silver with a certain Batman director?), I suggest you guys check your facts. Pull your 10 favorite US-produced action movies off the shelf and I guarantee you will find his name. Die Hard, The Matrix, Predator, anyone?
- andreusboy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3This is... No, just no...
- JagoX, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2No...there is already a real Skeletor...Calista Flockhart!
- geronimo, on 10/11/2007, -4/+6The title will be 'Brokeback He-Man'
- Dillenger69, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Live action gundam would be sweet.
They'd have to cut waaaaay back on the dialog to make it work though.
As for BraveStarr ... All they need to do is add a talking anthropomorphic horse to Serenity and you can re-brand it to BraveStarr. - absinth1977, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3By the power of Greyskull I hope this doesn't suck.
At the very least the first one had Courtney Cox in it.. and that dude from Voyager.
To hell with He-Man. Give me Thundercats!!!!
"Sword of Omens, give me a summer movie I actually want to watch!" - john2kx, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3i just threw up a little in my mouth.
- Enfenestrate, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2@joshua5
Yeah. They did one hell of a job reimagining the show when they did masters of the universe, can't wait to see what crap they come up with this time around - kidvicious1973, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I am holding out for Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. Oh yeah wasn't it "By the power of grayskull, I am power"?
- mythandros, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2My bad.
- shifty2, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3I HAVE THE POOOOOOOWWWWWEEEEEEEEEERRR!!!
- jakeamoore, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2This is, quite possibly, the worst idea I've heard in a long time.
And we all know that Dolph Lundgren has already won his long battle with fame. - smek2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Wow. Now they're really scraping the bottom of the barrel. What's next? BraveStarr?
How about inventing something vaguely new, instead of grabbing every Superhero/Comic-series there is and trying to squeeze money out of it? - Araxen, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2The only person that want to see a live action smurf movie are the ones that want it to be a bukkake film.
- mandarin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Thundercats? Isnt he the guy in the furry suit that carries a switch blade?
