People bitched and they had to incorporate it into the next BD spec.
I doubt anyone really ever wanted it, but just held it up as a reason to argue for HD-DVD's superiority.

I can pass on the whole BD-Live thing. It makes no difference at all whether the person watches the film simultaneously with you does it?
