You can't just listen to Dane Cook's stand-up because it is not thought provoking, and is authentically not funny. You find it more enjoyable to watch because he needs to jump about and flail his limbs to make anything about him even reasonably funny. These are not things comedians do, these are things clowns do.

The only reason Hollywood gives him any movie roles is because of that fan base.
