- socbret, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19I would rather stare at clean faces for 120+ minutes than the alternative...
- leontes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Everyone knows that the careful application of the pus of the Bubotuber plant treats acne. All that the directors are doing are making sure that the skin of the characters represent the magical capabilities and benefits of being a student of hogwarts. I'm sure this has nothing to do with the arbitrary beautification of the actors, in order to generate increased revenue for the studio.
- Hella, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15pics or it didn't happen
- Breeder18, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11if only it were this easy in real life. :)
- Teh_N3UT3R3R, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8"I'd love to be able to show my young patients footage from the films as a way of proving almost everyone suffers from acne, but none exists."
Is Harry Potter the only source this guy can use? There's plenty of proof all over myspace. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Computers? I thought he used magic!
- MaiSacNjoMouf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3So lets assume it takes 6 months to shoot this movie (I'm not being exact here, I don't know how long they were filming for) but let's say 6 months. You take 3 teenagers over a 6 month period and compress that into an hour and a half. I think the movie would look pretty ***** up, i mean every 2 minutes their zits are going to be changing positions. The actors faces need to be consistent throughout the entire movie or you ruin the effect...
BIG HONKER on the nose, oh, nope it's gone.. OH, there! It's back again! - m3mn0n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3That had to be the stupidest article I've read in quite some time.
I wish I could bury it as lame and then mark it as "MY #1" for some sort of a "stupidest stories on digg" hall of shame. - flamingmb, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Those bastards!
- Lars0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2While It might be doing teens the world over a dis-service, for the actors it is very necessary for their future career
- Ignignokt01, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3And parents wonder why their kids feel pressured to be as 'pretty as the movie-stars', or why they adopt eating disorders.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Emma Watson is CRAZY hot. woot emma!
- hannahmar, on 06/11/2009, -0/+2As far as Harry Potter avoiding puberty, this isn't the first story I've heard of the sort. Apparently they had to dub Daniel Radcliffe's voice in a few scenes of the 2nd (or 3rd, not sure) movie due to "those changes"
- falcon707, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Why couldn't they just use their magic?
- uptown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Filed under "who gives a *****?". It's a movie.
- someone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"I wish I could bury it as lame and then mark it as "MY #1" for some sort of a "stupidest stories on digg" hall of shame." - M3mn0n
You can do this if you digg the story, make it your number one, and then bury the story as lame. Check my profile to see it in action - DeFex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1haven't they been using makeup to cover skin blemishes in movies since..um ..they started making movies? so they do the same thing digitally. its not exactly news or anything.
- octoquake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1am i the only one who doesnt find this to be that big of a deal at all?
so what. its a movie. - m3mn0n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1haha...
but you see I don't want to mix this filth with the quality stuff I have as my normal #1s - airencracken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They must have conquered Pubertus!
- lifeandtimes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This really is something that is not news worthy. Is this doctor worried that teens with acne will feel offended because the Harry Potter cast had some touch ups? That is what it sounds like to me, and that is lame. Buried.
- tomi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hm, you know, Accutane /does/ work...
- MaiSacNjoMouf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1irrelevant, but I have to agree...
- diggdaddyo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Accutane was the only answer for me, no computer magic just medicine...... OK Punch incisions, Fat cell injections and a laser procedure oh well. I'm Fuct....................... No Hollywood contract for me. God asked me "Do you want a clear complexion or a long penis .................let's just say I don't have a problem putting.
- Hensworth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1No before and after pictures of computer touch ups? Marked as lame.
- nreynolds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1dang. that's a cool comment if i've ever seen one.
- implode, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"I'd love to be able to show my young patients footage from the films as a way of proving almost everyone suffers from acne, but none exists."
I would suggest that said dermatologist show his clients the newer Battlestar Galactica. Edward James Olmos is aesthetically speaking a distinguished older gentleman, with skin that has been described as "scary and quite moon-like cratered face". On a couple of occasions I've seen Katee Sackhoff sporting pimples (do they even put her in makeup?), and half the time a good portion of the cast looks like they're on the brink of death.
Cry me a river, sex sells and the movie industry has always used this to their advantage. They don't typically make exceptions regardless of age and puberty. Kids with acne see plenty of other kids with acne at school. - silverSurfer84, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1To get rid of acne drink fresh juiced carrots and apples. It will clear you up in a week and keep you clear with daily use.
- Rchapman8, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"OMG Why are they spending monies on computers instead of me!"
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Shatner's ass was digitally air-brushed down in Star Trek V.
Hollywood has been doing this for years. - Im2Cute4U, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Because there is only so much money can do.
- fuzzboxer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1This is a common practice done for a lot of movies.
- johnny05114, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0hmm....we all know that Harry Potter is the perfect example of a normal teenage boy, how dare they decieve us otherwise.....
If they have caused me any disservice, it's the fact that when Im alone I shout latin and try to levitate my acne scrub and various other things.. - foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1They should've said "Acne vulgaris Reparo!"
Since "Oculo Reparo" is "repair eyeglasses", Acne Vulgaris is scientific name for acne.... - ZippidyDoo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Who cares? I'm not sad I won't be seeing some juicy zits.
- Im2Cute4U, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I heard "seamen" did the trick. I tried to search for it on google but it only pulled up South Park websites. Weird. :(
- Rhine23, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Just don't eat the evil chocolate @_@
- ptFoe, on 10/12/2007, -10/+5Harry often mistakes his broom for his digitally enhanced 13 inch penis
